Clarification On Enchanted Items

As I've been finding a lot of enchanted items again the past few days, I wanted to make a post on it.

 

Mobs ARE NOT supposed to be dropping enchanted gear, we've disabled it several times but a couple days later they seem to start dropping them again.  There are a VERY few enchanted items that are allowed, mostly artifacts and magical summoned items, that 99.9999% of you do not have access to.  If you acquire an enchanted item from a mob, please either throw it in a fire/lava, or modreq to have it taken by a GM.  I do random sweeps looking for enchanted items, and logblock also makes it rather simple to find stored enchanted items, so please turn them in as we've asked, don't make us come to your homes and bases and forts and remove them ourselves.

no, with the exception of some specially named items, no enchanted items outside of major artifacts that have been LM and GM approved, of which there are very few.  If you've got an item that is important to your RP, and it's reasonable that it wasn't thrown overboard on the ship journey here when the storms got bad, you can ask to have the item specially named in a modreq.  You must however attain and provide the item to be named, it will not be spawned.

no, as the item should not have dropped to begin with. mobs should not be dropping gear.

I have one in my chest that I'll get rid of when I can get on LOTC next. And by the way, you might want to clear this up in GM chat too because I asked a GM about it when I got it and they said it was fine
