Burrow Checks!

A paper is hung on the noticeboard of Lenfarthing. In spidery handwriting, it reads:

Hobbits of Lenfarthing

With the coming and going of many of our folk, burrows have been left empty for a long while. Every know and then, when I try to open a door of an abandoned burrow, the rusty handle falls off! This is not acceptable, we are meant to keep our homes in good repair. That being said, many Hobbitfolk are homeless, and would be glad to have a burrow of their own.

Please sign below, if you are active in our town of Lenfarthing. If you do not sign within several days, your burrow will be taken away from you! - Elder Bili Hollowmead

A length of blank paper is below the note, allowing for Halflings to sign.

The Esteemed Rear Admiral, Deputy Folco Wineroot glances at the paper, wondering how Bili can write so clearly and then realizes he cannot altogether read very well and scratches his chin, then upon seeing a signature mutters "Wha' tha 'eck! Bili, ye nee' ta wri'e in tha propa way ya loon." and then proceeds to sign his name in borderline hieroglyphics "Folco Wineroot"

Bili begins to call out in the inn every day or so,

 

"Only a couple more Elven Days before we start kickin' people out o' their burrows! If ye 'aven't already, go and sign it!"

Trick stares at the sheet for a while and then scribbles down his name in barely readable handwriting:

 

Triligrim Tooke. I live in me Pappa's old burrow, which 'e left me at 'is passin. Thank you very much.

 

 

((I'm not what you would call very active, but Trick is my preferred character (of the 2 I have), when I actually do want to roleplay and I would like to keep the burrow if possible. :) ))
