I have extensively surveyed Striqaephoth and have concluded that there is no way (without cheating/hacking) to successfully launch an assault on this "city". It floats above the earth and the only way up would be to swim up the falling lava, which is not possible.

Fairly certain that would violate a rule. Even if it did not, it wouldn't really be keeping to roleplay, especially during a battle there. Also, it is probably a protected area, although I did not test it, where it would not be possible to place blocks to build up to it.
