The Return Of Gideon Silverblade

A figure is spotted on top of the uppermost hill of the capital. He is holding a golden brazier, one only a man of wealth could obtain. The top of the brazier is a cross what seems to match the sunset as light flickers from the cross. Two brown robed monks what could be made out as clerics flank this mysterious man. Walking in synchronization, these clad figures descend from the hill and disappear. They come up parrel to the horizon on the next tallest hill until they wind the length of the valley. The man holding the brazier seems to appear taller then before as him and his colleges climb the mass of steps within the capital, Abresi. They venture up all of the stairs until they reach the Saint Everard’s Cathedral in which the elders of the city bow deeply in greeting to them. The man is seen carrying a satchel this time but alone while exiting the church. Suspicions grow between the masses of the cities populace.

Subjects gasp as they recognize this strange scholar. They follow him up to the capital in which the dragon guards let him and the mob pass. Emperor Godfrey is on top his throne handling the normal pleas from his greedy vassals as his eye catches the attention of this popular staff wielder and his followers. He chuckles raising his head and rises to bow his head once more. Godfrey then waves to the man who kneels before calmly addressing “Welcome back Gideon Silverblade.”
