Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Role-playing is assuming the role of a character. For an example if Bob is playing a game in which he assumes the role of a fictional (or in some cases real) character Bob is role-playing.

Meta-gaming: Meta-gaming is using information you learned out of character while you are in character. For an example if Bob learns where a character is living by looking on a forum he cant purposely go out to where that character is living unless someone has told him where that character is living in game.

Power-emoting: Power-emoting is performing an emote that your character could not do or an emote that instantly achieves your goal. An example of power-emoting is *Bob kills Bill*, Bob should have done the emote *Bob swings his sword at Bill's head* this gives Bill the chance to respond to the attack.

In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Posco Bramble

Current Age: 34

Sub-race (if any): Halfling

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Posco, like most halflings, was born in the halfling village of

Lenfarthing. Son to a hard working farmer and a skilled cook Posco was, and
still is, the typical halfling. His father, named Meriadoc, taught him farming
techniques since before he can remember, so of course Posco loved farming,
there was a sense of satisfaction and tranquility whenever Posco
would harvest a potato (his personal favorite vegetable) or plant some wheat
seeds. However there was one activity that Posco adored more than farming, that
activity is reading. Posco loved reading all sorts of books, history books,
adventure books (his personal favorite) , and of course books about
farming. Although Posco's father wasn't too happy with his son's near
obsession with reading, it didn't get in the way of his son's farming and
chores so he tolerated it. Posco had an uncle named Grigory  that would
visit every month or so, Posco would also occasionally visit Grigory's burrow,
the days were Grigory visited were the best for Posco. You see Grigory was an
author that not only had quite a passion for reading but also had quite the
expansive collection of books, needles to say  Grigory and Posco got along
swimmingly. Not only would they spend hours discussing stories but Grigory had
plenty of interesting stories to tell. Posco fondly remembers reading stories
about Aegis and how it fell to the undead or stories about Dunfest in the old halfling village of Dunwood and could scarcely believe that such things could exist in
this world. The accuracy of these history books could probably be
argued by any scholar, but to Posco these stories were fact and filled him with
both a sense of fear and wonder.

When
Posco was about 20 years of age he and his parents agreed that it was high time
Posco found a job and moved out of the house. Posco was not too well
known among the other halflings even some of his parent's friends
didn't know of his existence and the few that did know of his existence thought
of him as the shy bookworm. This was mainly due to the fact that as Posco grew
up he became more caught up with reading and writing than farming, this meant
that most of his time was spent reading alone or with his uncle and not going
to town and socializing. This caused him to become significantly more
shy and  introverted. So when it came time for him to find his own burrow
and job it was difficult to prove that he was any help to the community.
Luckily his uncle Grigory discovered that his favorite nephew was having
trouble finding a home, so Grigory invited Posco to stay with him, Posco gladly
accepted. Grigory's burrow was quite elegant in it's design, everything was
neatly placed where it should be. Grigory's house also had a room dedicated to
his massive collection of books that had only grown bigger since Posco had last
visited. Posco was quite happy living in the homely burrow and eventually
found a job as a farmhand.

Since
Posco had moved in he had not only become a better writer but also became even
better friends with his uncle. Posco had learned more about his dear uncle Grigory,
he learned how mischievous Grigory use to be and how quite childish
he could act at times. Grigory was actually quite the opposite of Posco,
Grigory always had wanted to go on an adventure but Posco was quite happy
living in Lenfarthing Grigory loved exploring the forests like an excited child
while Posco preferred calmly  strolling through the woods.
Despite their fairly different outlook on life they still were extremely close
and were best friends to each other, this made Grigory passing away all the
sadder. You see when Posco turned 33 Grigory was well into his 80's and quite
ill.  Grigory passed away calmly and quietly two weeks after Posco's 33rd
birthday, in Grigory's will he left his entire collection of books to Posco he
also left Posco an old journal to write in. The burrow that once seemed so
homely now felt foreign and empty, so Posco sold the burrow and moved back
in to his grieving parents.  His retired parents were quite
depressed about the whole situation, but after 7 months of
grieving they moved on. This was not the case for Posco he was in quite a
depressed for a year and wasn't to keen on cheering up. But after a very long year
eventually it hit him that he couldn't grieve forever so after a year doing
nothing with his life he moved out of his parents burrow.Posco left a great
deal of his collection at his parent's burrow to be collected at a later date.
Now 34 years old Posco leaves home to make something of his life.

Ambitions for the FuturePosco hopes to one day become an author or at least a librarian;

he also hopes to settle down in a cozy burrow and perhaps find a wife.

PersonalityEven though Posco has slightly come out of his shell he still is

quite timid, although if you were to befriend him or get him drunk you might
find a talkative party loving halfling. Posco like most halflings is
mostly peaceful and not very fond of adventures (nasty
things adventures are they'll make you late for supper).

SkillsPosco is a decent farmer and takes great pride in his writing

abilities, besides that he is not the most skillful halfling.

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperors palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

AnswerWhile visiting the pure human capital in order to purchase some new reading material, Posco finds himself walking just outside of the emperor's palace. There is a street that leads directly to the palace and on both sides of that main street there are two alley ways that lead to other entries to the palace. While Posco was marveling at the shear size and beauty of the palace and thinking about how many bookshelves you could fit into a place like that, he noticed a tall figure cloaked in black creeping up to the alleyway on the left of the rode, the figure was sneaking very quietly and was almost hugging the wall. In fact the figure was so hard to see that the two guards standing on the right side of the street didn't even notice the figure, the only way Posco was able to notice the figure was because the figure stumbled on his long black cloak. Posco quite quickly put two and two together and noticed the possible danger. At a brisk pace Posco makes his way to the two guards on the right of the road. Posco seems to shrink in comparison to these two robust armored guards, very nervous and even a bit scared at this point, Posco squeaks "err . . . 'ello, sheriffs?". Both guards turn to face him, then realizing that the voice was coming from a halfling, look down. "We ain't sheriffs, we's guardians of the city! Now what is it halfling?" barks the burlier of the two guards. "Guards not sheriffs go' i'. I jus' wanted to report some odd behavior in the area." responds Posco slightly more confident now that the awkward greeting is out of the way. "Report some odd behavior in the area? Just tell us who did what." said the burly guard in an annoyed tone. "Well I don't have any proper evidence, and I don't righ'ly know 'oo I saw, bu' what I do know is 'hat I saw a ra'her odd man wearing a long black cloak creeping around tha' alleyway that connec' to the palace." Posco replies in a much quieter tone while pointing to the left alleyway. "That does seem rather menacing, we ought to check that out" responds the other guard now much more interested in the matter. "Right Halfling, you stay here and we'll go check out this mysterious man." said the burly guard in a now extremely serious tone. As the two guards marched away to the alleyway were Posco had spotted the figure, Posco walked away feeling rather proud of himself, perhaps he had saved a life. Posco never learnt what became of the guards or the cloaked figure, but he did go on to write a thrilling adventure story about the event.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armor and an iron long-sword, how do you react?

Answer"Oh how foolish I am" Posco mutters to himself as he carries his newly-purchased over sized long-sword and over sized leather armor. "How could I let tha' salesman talk me in'o buying a sword and armor? *sigh* He was very charisma'ic that one was."  Posco says to himself. The heavy sword and armor was becoming quite the burden, as walking down a forest will carrying at least 12 pounds of equipment is not a brilliant idea, so Posco resolved to find a nice spot to rest for a bit and maybe have a meal. Right as he was about to start a fire to cook up some eggs, he hears an old man cry "No I won't let you!". This scream caught Posco off guard and he ended up dropping two perfectly good eggs on the ground. "Confound i' two perfectly good eggs, ruined" Posco vents. After Posco's minor outburst he realizes that an old man just screamed something quite alarming. Now intrigued by what is happening Posco looks around the area to see what's happening, all Posco sees is the back of a stone cottage. Posco being quite disturbed by what he just heard someone shriek decides to approach the house. Being a halfling he can be very quite if he wants so he silently sneaks up to the back of the cottage. Peaking over the side of the structure he sees two intimidating bandits looking at the front of the house with their weapons drawn. Then one of the bandits, not noticing Posco, shouts "Oi we don't care wefer o' not you will let us take yer minas.". "If you come any closer I'll kill you, I swear I will!" nervously screams the voice of an old man who is not visible from Posco's position. Posco is greatly disturbed by the mere mention of killing. Posco very quickly decides that this is no situation for a halfling, especially not a halfling that spends most of his time reading. So Posco, carefully making sure to not rouse the attention of the thugs, sneaks back to where he left his equipment, packs up his things and goes on his not so merry way. After a bit of walking he reaches a small settlement, the main path leading through the settlement has two guards stationed on each side. "Excuse me 'uards?" Posco says urgently. "What's wrong halfling" responds one of the guards. "Well a bit down 'his main path, I saw a nasty scene transpiring, two armed bandi's appeared to be robbing an old man. It would very much calm my nerves if you could go down there and see what occurred." explained Posco. "Right then, stay here and we'll go and have a look." responded one of the guards. Both guards quickly began marching down the path. Whilst the guards were away Posco ate some bread and cheese, it was quite good. When the guards returned they told Posco what happened. "We made our way down the path until we found a stone cottage . ." says one of the guards before Posco interrupts them "Yes yes 'hats the place.". The guard continues "Yes well, when we arrived the place was ransacked, the only things left was a bed and a some farming equipment." "Wha' aboot the old man" Posco said in a concerned tone." At first when we arrived we saw no old man and just assumed he had gone, but when we were leaving we discovered his corpse hidden in a bush nearby." The news of the old man's death was quite painful to Posco, which was strange because Posco didn't even know the old man's name, much less his personality. Perhaps it's because Posco feels responsible because he might have been able to help the old man if he was stronger. Regardless there really wasn't too much Posco could do, so he just went on with his life.

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

AnswerWhile
on a rare visit to the pure human capital to purchase some new books for his collection Posco spots a stall that catches his attention due to it's many vibrant colors and large quantities of books. Posco of course quickly made his way to the stall. The man behind the stall counter did not look like someone that had a passion for reading, in fact Posco doubted whether or not the man could read. "Hello littl' man, wot do ye want?" the salesman bluntly asked. " 'Ello, I would like to purchase . . . . 'hese two books." Posco says while looking for and then pointing to two adventure books. "Alright littl' man, that would be 50 minas." the sales man replied. Now Posco knew that no one in their right mind would spend more than 35 minas on two adventure books. " 'Hat seems a bit unfair, I don't suppose you could maybe lower the price to 35 minas." Posco responds in a very unsure tone. "Tell you what if you pay 55 minas I'll throw in this book that someone gave to me as a present." the salesman suggests, during his sentence he picks up a pristine book about cooking recipes. This was quite the deal because books like that usually cost around 10 minas so Posco would be getting half off, it would also be quite good to find out some new recipes so the next time acquaintances are at his house he can cook something beside potato stew. "'hat sounds like a perfec' deal." Posco states. After awkwardly shaking hands and Posco paying for the books, Posco stuffs the books into a bag and walks off to find some more reading material.
