Well, the answer might sound like a cliché but the thought of  venturing into lost tombs and experiencing parts of the world that I never dreamt of being able to see is one that would ensnare all able men, that and I hold a passion for my craft. Aiding others is a noble cause and with the Delvers I can experience both. Expand on my craft outside a dusty room and see

the world as it truly is.

Back before the disappearance of the Archmage, I used to be a student at the Mage Guild. However, my apprenticeship there fell together as people abandoned the Guild and went elsewhere. Other than that, I have not been associated with any

guilds.

A delve is to dive into a long forgotten place, do battle with its guardians (if necessary) and then begin the more serious work. Archeological work is a fine craft and without it clumsy hands might destroy the valuable items that hails from our forefathers. Which would be tragic, considering its tremendous worth to scholars.

If you found an artifact and that artifact could do anything. What would it do?
It would most likely be some sort of divination-enchanted eye, giving its users a glimpse of whatever area they would desire to see. Such an artifact could hold tremendous importance while gathering intelligence prior to a delve of one kind or another. The possibilities it could have would be endless, scouting for traps, thus saving lives or you could even use it to navigate a labyrinth by seeing it from the viewpoint of a bird. Such an artifact would be of great importance Indeed.

But if it was touched by another living race, it would follow them, and you would loose the sight of the orb.

I seek adventure. I also have a good deal of interest in magic, and though I am not asking to learn it, simply being in the presence of other mages would be wonderful. (I also need to get away from Oren roleplay, and after a few hours of roleplay with the Delvers I really would like to join them.)

A delve is a metaphorical dive into some sort of area of research. It could also be a physical dive, but it would probably be rather painful. Books are not the softest of things.

 

 

If you found an artifact and that artifact could do anything. What would it do?

In a small ruin just south of the North, completely unguarded and devoid of traps, a small octagon about an inch thick and covered in strange runes lies on a pedestal. This artifact, upon being with skin, would slowly erase the person who first touches it from the memories of others around them within hours, until they are all alone in the world, wandering about ignored and unknown. They will develop a strange attraction to the chip, cursing them to keep it until the end of their days(similar to the obsession Golem has over the Ring).
