"Smart. Thats something we would only know if we tested it, after all."

"Would it be attracted to 3 solid blocks of iron, 3 solid blocks of silver, or 3 solid blocks of gold?"

Toby ignores Drake, smirking a bit

"Trick question. An armored warrior normally has both on at once, so there would'nt be a real answer to that for sure. Copper or tin?"

Short Answers for all Applicants;

Why do you wish to join the Delvers?

I would like to join the Delvers in order to obtain more knowledge on the history of magic and the world. I have what you may call a "Thirst for knowledge" This and that entertains me, Researching into simple subjects is always fun, I've figured my discoveries may help the delvers, I've been working on studying enderman for over fifty years, and have found some interesting information.

Have you belonged to any faction or guild before?

I usually work on my own and I'm looking to purchase a home, I like the company of others, but have grown spiteful towards most typical "knights" or "warriors".

List three words that a guild needs to function and survive.

Communication, Trust, Strategy.

In your own words describe what you think a delve is:

A delve is to go into a place or subject, searching for a specific or non-specific item (or information) Sometimes even to discover.

If you found an artifact and that artifact could do anything. What would it do?

*Delzio scratches his  chin and smiles "Perhaps this should be answered when you know me a little bit better..."*

Eventa Calm looks around the base after the battle. She peeks from over the stairs noticing the dead body of Torrah Campbell. She begins to get afraid rushing to grab her sword and some oil. She also places in her bag a good deal of food to last her as she hops over the dead body and out of the ruins. "It is no longer safe here. I have to run." She runs off not turning back. (I am going to take a break for a few days. Just giving a reason why.)

Short Answers for all Applicants;

Why do you wish to join the Delvers?

I wish to stop living on the road, and finally become part of a group. I wish to find out more about the lands of which we thrive in, and the past cities, realms and peoples, and see how the past can influence the future and the present. Artifacts and books and ruins, they all fascinate me and we can learn so much from them. The past exists for many a purpose, the main being that we can learn about it and use it to prepare for the future & keep a firm hold on the present.

Have you belonged to any faction or guild before? None.

List three words that a guild needs to function and survive.

Trust, Obedience, Communication

In your own words describe what you think a delve is: To Delve, is to dive in and search for knowledge, items, treasure or anything that one wishes to find. Whether they find it or not is completely up to whether what they are looking for is in the place of which they are searching. One might say that they wish to delve into a book and search for the answer to a question that has been bugging them for some time. A Delver is an explorer and seeker.

If you found an artifact and that artifact could do anything. What would it do?

The artifact that I found would tell a story from another age, engraved as pictures and glyphs within it's side. The story would tell a tale of a man and a wolf, and how they travelled the lands in search of a gem. The gem would have a beauty that even the orcs would marvel at, for it was carved in another age, by hands from another land.

Cyrus returns to his room after assessing the damage dealt to Ac'talareh after a recent attack. He finds a stack of letters upon his desk there, all of them applications.

"Goodness" he mumbles "it seems that someone found out that I deal with applicants."

He breaks the seal of the first letter and reads over the paper, and begins to write a response upon a blank parchment. It reads

'Dear Mr Faltrezan Greyleaf,

After reading your application, it became apparent to me your desire to make better your life. This letter is sent to you as to admit you into the fold of the Delvers, that you might improve your current situation. One last step remains; that you should approach the ruins of Ac'talareh and recieve your initation task. Asking any member with the rank 'Regent' should get you well on your way for your task. Hopefully you will find a family within us soon,

~Regent of Mana, Cyrus'

Upon finishing one letter, he seals it with wax, and works on the next letter at his desk. Upon reading it, his eyebrows furrow slightly and he pens this response:

'Dear Mr Delzio Alor,

Your study of the Men of Ender intrigues me, as well as the fact that you share my thirst for knowledge. However, I have found your application... less than what I would want to accept. Here is why: First, you said you value communication within a guild, but answer the final question, and I quote, "Perhaps this should be answered when you know me better." I find this quite a lack of communication, and therefore contradictory. It would also be noted, secondly, that we would require an answer for that question, instead of a comment. Therefore, I can only urge you to rewrite your application, fixing the errors that I have detailed to you. Until then,

~Regent of Mana, Cyrus'

With this letter, Cyrus encloses a blank application, then seals it with wax. He places it aside to review the last letter of the stack. Reading this particular letter, Cyrus smiles slightly and pens a response

'Dear Mr Elogan Tuft,

While reading your letter, I had the pleasure to be introduced to a man who enjoys the history of the land, a man of curiosity and appreciation for the works of the ancients. You seem akin to the kind of members that the Delvers wish to seek, and therefore your application has been found acceptable. The only task keeping you from official initiation is that of receiving your task of entry. You must find the ruins of Ac'talareh and ask for a member ranked 'Regent' so that you may request what this task will be. I look forward to meeting you in person,

~Regent of Mana, Cyrus'

Finally penning this last letter, Cyrus seals it and carries the stack of replies to the aviary, where each letter would be sent off to its rightful owner. Some would be excited at the news sent, and others perhaps disappointed. Whatever the case may be, Cyrus returns into the depths of the ruins to observe whatever activity may be buzzing within.

"I'm going to say tin." He says, droning on as the questions go on.

"You'd be wrong, I've found copper is several times more conductive. That's all I got for this lesson, study conductivity of specific metals a bit more, alright?"

Why do you wish to join the Delvers? I wish to contribute to the guild's Oracle Library. I am a seeker of knowledge and the library is the perfect way to do so. Furthermore, i wish to aid in the recovery of artifacts and relics. I'm a scribe who have written several philosophical books on various subjects such as War. One of which, i had donated to the library itself. I feel that i would be able to help the library and in turn, be able to learn about the history and mysterious of this world.

List three words that a guild needs to function and survive. Order, Unity and Prosperity

In your own words describe what you think a delve is: A seeker and scholar of knowledge of the world around him or her. Someone bounded in fellowship with his peers and have the determination and drive to adventure the world and recover the secrets within.

If you found an artifact and that artifact could do anything. What would it do?  The artifact would be a empty and blank book. It would be covered with runes and intricate patterns of unknown origins. If one would just merely open the book for the sake of seeking the knowledge within, he or she would find it blank. However, if one would open the book and seek to spread his or her knowledge onto it, the book would be able to retrieve and record its owner memories and memories that have yet to come. How one would use such a artifact would be very interesting question, and the possibilities are endless.
