Moonlight streamed through the eerie trees, casting a sinister glow around her prison. The light reflected against each branch, casting a menacing shadow across each individual leaf; the shadows twisting and seeming to snarl at her as the wind blew softly. The night was cold and she could see her breath as she exhaled slowly; trying to stay still and calm. The branches entwined menacingly around her, forming an unintentional confinement around her now fragile body. She was exhausted; mentally, physically and emotionally. She lay, curled up amongst the branches, not daring to move at the sight of the massive dagger-like pincers of the beast in front of her.

She could hear them talking, but couldn’t focus. The poison was starting to get to her. She felt drowsy and sick; unable to consume even the smallest piece of bread or sip water. She began to close her eyes again, not able to keep them open any longer. Until a hand shaking her  violently with its boney fingers woke her up.
“We need you to write on this!” The voice cooed softly in such a sweet and innocent way, it seemed impossible to comprehend that such a voice belonged to the monster that caught her. She tilted her head, carefully dragging herself to sit up and looked at the parchment and quill in his hand. The Daemon set it down on the branch in front of her and stepped around, carefully undoing the wire bound around her numb wrists.

She rubbed them gingerly, and looked at the paper in front of her. “You...You haven’t left any ink.” She frowned softly, her writing arm aching from the needle stab she was given. “And wh...what do you want me to write?” She cast her gaze back down in confusion.

The daemon turns to look at her, his eyes staring at her with a childlike innocence that made her skin crawl and a steady shudder emit up her spine. He cast his gaze down to her wrist, his eyes almost intrusive as they seemed to glare, the magical glow of pearly white and magenta illuminating her flesh as he peered down. He gave a slow and steady hiss as he looked back up at her. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he stared, his pupils shrinking to thin slits. He cast his gaze away, almost dancing as he moved. She watched as he pulled himself up on the branch and swung his legs as they dangled beneath him.

She turned her attention back to the paper in front of her and swallowed hard. The realisation hit her hard of what she had to do, where the ink would come from. Her skin went pale and she began to shake. The idea was morbid. She looked up and gave him a pleading look “Please don’t do this.” She uttered in a small voice. The daemon merely stared and hissed again in reply, the hiss getting gradually more impatient.

She whimpered softly and looked down to her pale skin, the surface covered in Goosebumps.  She took the quill in her writing hand gritted her teeth, clamping her eyes shut. She drew a quick breath in, trying to control her shaking and with a quick yet clumsy motion, drove the quill towards her left arm. At the last second she pulled away and dropped the quill to the floor.
“I... Can’t” She shook her head and threw the quill down. “Write your own damn letter...” She growls defiantly. The Daemon looked at her, his hiss turning into a snarl as he leaps at her, grabbing her hand.

“Please.” He growls quietly in her ear and used his blade-like nail to cut downwards on her skin
She gasped as the nail cut her flesh, a trail of fresh scarlet blood trailing down her arm. In one fluid motion he threw her arm down and stood away leaving her to cower and weep quietly.

She carefully picked up the quill again, tears softly rolling down  her cheeks and dipped the quill in the blood. “Wh...What do I write” she murmured softly. The Daemon looks at her and speaks in a chiming tone, as if nothing had previously happened. She wrote it all in silence, her neat hand shaking and a wince appearing on her face each time she would dip the quill into her arm.

When the Daemon had finished instructing, she held the letter out to him. Sprat ran his eyes over the letter, nodding weakly at it. He twirled it in his fingers, presenting it back to Sophia. He bobbed it in front of her face, letting out a darling and soft giggle, “I’ll let you make a small comment at the bottom, if you so wish, Princess.” The Daemon dropped the letter into her open palm, Sophia snatching it.

She inscribes a small statement of endearment, broadly portraying her thoughts to all - family, friends, and commoners alike - she wretches the letter back to the Daemon, the insidious beast snatching it, glancing it over. He rings in a warm, comforting tone, “Lovely~...” The Daemon spins about on his toes, prancing away with a light scamper and passes the massive spider hovering nearby, the Broodmother’s many eyes fixated upon the girl; webs surround them in their perch, the walls almost entirely comprised of web.

The Daemon steps away with the note, rolling it into a sleeve. Sprat nears a pitch black raven in the tree, it perched on a webb as its support strut. He outstretches the slender and unhealthy thinness of his arm, letting the bird take the letter into its beak. He gives it a threatening stare, clicking his forked tongue, and it instantly dives out the tree - soaring away.

~~~
A bird flies over the Abresi church, it diving down into it. The raven whirls into the building, it flapping its wings in a fluster as it sways up onto main centerpiece, resting the letter down onto the altar. It snaps back into the air, charging off into the gloomy darkness of the capital, the letter awaiting its discovery.
(If you can't read the text....)
The princess says nothing, only a plea;
Begging for me to set her free;
Her screams hurt my ears;
And I am bored of her tears;
So please take the princess from me.
We sit in a sea of trees;
You act as her only set of keys;
The Spider prowls;
In this needley shroud;
O’ what there is a lovely breeze.
But please be wary of time;
For I am losing all my green slime;
The Spider growls;
As you furrow your brows;
And if you’re not quick the Princess is mine...
-Bring me home I beg. I love you to death and back, and I miss you forever.-
Ryder sits in the chaos that was the silverblade wedding, she stands quietly at the door, when the raven drops the letter at her feet. Opening it, she gasps as she sees the words, getting on her mare and running her hard back to salvus to give the letter to her son, James.
James sits in his throne grumbling and cussing under his breath as he works the day away wanting for it to end already so he can go back on the search. The dissaperance  of Sophia making him quick to anger and highly aggersive to many in the court room, except for a few who he could never do that to. He taps his fingers on his Scepter as the last person leaves he sighs grumbling
"idiots.."
He looks up raising a brow as his Mother Ryder walks in he looks to her and the letter  "What is that Mother?"
She hands him the letter telling her son that she found it at the Church were Sophia was last seen and taken.
He takes the letter reading it "Two locations.. I know of two caves of spiders one here and one in the 'Sea of trees' Send word to Kais and The Empress at once. We shall have a search soon."
One of the figures nods, chuckling...
Rose receives word from James of a new note, she quickly grabs her cloak and runs out of the palace. She mounts her white stallion and heads out towards Salvus, soon arriving. She quickly jumps off the horse and ties it up, soon after running inside. She runs all the way upstairs and enters James' office, awaiting for Kais' arrival now.
