The Lost Princess Found.

Everything was hazy and distorted. Her vision couldn’t adjust and the only thing her eyes could focus on were the many gleaming black abyss eyes of the Broodmother. Voices and sounds were no longer clear and sounded as if under water, just the steady hiss of the Broodmother, its jaws clacking together made any distinguishing sound. Her mind was dulled as if someone had filled it with cotton wool and her body was beyond exhausted. Sophia Horen was Broken. “This Is it.” She thought to herself. “This is when I die.”

 

 

“SOPHIA?!” came a voice that Sophia could pick out anywhere.  Ari.
She weakly lifted her head up. “It’s not really her, Soapy. It isn’t her” As she sat up she locked eyes with the Broodmother, it creeping threateningly close to her. She froze, fear gripping her like a vice, her breath catching in her throat.

“Sophia where are you?!” Her voice was alarmingly close and as she broke her stare with the spider, she turned to meet the wide green eyes of Ari. Sophia shook her head quickly to keep her silent.

As quick as anything, the Broodmother lunged, stabbing Sophia with is venomous fang and Sophia let out a vicious scream and then everything went black.

((I want to say massive thank you to everyone who got involved with this and took part. It went really well and I had lots of fun with it!  You guys followed the clues and I think this was a big success! :) )

Lion mounts the spiders eyes in his throne room and makes himself an extra fish for dinner.

Ari searches through her wardrobe, quickly changing out of her torn, dirty dress, the skirt and sleeves of which she'd ripped off in the woods, before her Husband could see her in such a state.

She only thought to change once she'd seen Sophia safe and alive. Ser Lion had done the bulk of the work and she thanked the Creator she'd run into him; He truly worked in mysterious ways, given the circumstances of her finding Sophia. The only reason Ari had ever gone into those woods and ever passed that particularly webbed area was when searching for Darkhaven, after the incident with Kratos in Kal'azgoth. If she'd never been there, never seen it, she'd never have thought to check those woods for Sophia, even after all that demented monster's clues...


...That monster would pay.
 

[Mirtok 2853]

*Mirtok sits idle in Lion's bar, accepting a mug of water from the servant Greg. He thinks back to the massive corpse that was this "broodmother," It's eyes bloodied and it's belly upward towards the sky leaking of a grotesque fluid. Mirtok runs his fingers through his mohawk and hands off his spend glass to Greg before standing up and making his way towards House Green.
