Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Role-playing to me is the way that one can take on a
different persona and use it to create a role that can be understood and
enjoyied by others

Meta-gaming: I think Meta-gaming is doing something that could
not be seen or understood , such as knowing how to create a mythical
weapon as a Farmer. It could also be seen as knowing something that was
said Out-of-
Character , such as a storyline only known by those of a different race.

Power-emoting: I think Power-emoting is using a action which
another player can not defend against such as "cutting Bob's head off
without him seeing". It's using god-like actions which ruin a game.

In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Van. Derten Koover

Current Age: 30

Sub-race (if any): Southerons

Past /
History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): I was born into a fairly wealthy family , in the town of Ager. My mother was fairly well known for her adventures into writing , often talking about them in great detail. Most of her work has been either burned and forgotten. It was mostly tales of heros and everyday life. My father was a bard , often singing about deeds that no man should ever complete. Ventureing deep into the unknown holes and hatchs of Kal'Azgoth. Killing thousands of Orcs in the barren Wilderness. He was full of himself. He died at the hands of a petty theif when I was five years of age. My mother sold her work when she could , making small ammounts of minas.

When I became eight years old , my life to a turn for the worst. My mother feel ill with Ki'katta , and died a short while later. They say death is rare with Ki'katta. I brought to a writer's house , which was covered by vegatation. It most mostly natural , but some flowers grew on the railings of the house. It was made with the darkest bricks I have even seen. Small cracks grew up the wall that sprouted stems of green , soft plants. I thought the man was crazy the first time I was him. He was dressed entirely in white , with black leather shoes which attracted most of the dust in the room. I soon came to know this man as Redriv. He wrote books for a hobby , and was a Matchmaker for a occupation. He was fairly good from what I hear of him.

At the age of eighteen I was sent out to find my own way in life. He sent me to the capital , Abresi. I wanted to learn more about books and how they flowed into pages like sinew. I spent five years studying basic writing techniques , and dabbled a small ammount into Orc tounge... Lat mi mojo Quikspawn. At the age of twenty-three , I grew bored of most books. I wanted to become something more then my mother or my father. I began work on learning simple sword swings. Needless to say , this failed. I ended up with the tip of the sword in my foot.

Once again , I began work into books after my horrible ambitions. I learned more advanced ways to write , I even practiced poems and ballads in my free time. This carried on for a few more years. My twenty-eighth birthday is when I met my first challange. I started to travel to and fro the Wilderness , often to find insperation. I met a lone Orc. He stood atleast six foot high. I think he wanted me to hand over my books on writing. I attempted to communicate , but he would continue to press on for my books. Ever more his hand moved for his gleeming battleaxe. I decided not to risk my life and just hand them over. I had lost most of my belongings going into the Wilderness. But it was still quite entertaining.

Now my life is going to take another turn. What new wonder await me? What new people will try and get the better of me? I hope to find out.

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperors palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Answer:
Derten , noticing the man and his elegent moves towards palace , would ponder if this would make a good tale to write about. He would then notice the men dressed in plate and chainmail. He begins to run over to them , first with a walk , then with a stride. He tells the men of the dark figures.

"A figure , about five foot tall , came sneaking into this general area. He looked as if he was heading towards the Emperor's palace. Is there anything you could do to stop this man?"

"Yes", one of the men replyied , "We've been looki'n for that one all night , come on Gregare..." The guards were clearly drunk , or under some kind of spell. Derten had read about magic , how it could be used to twist very souls.

Suddenly , he heard the rissssssssp of a blade emerging from it's scabbard. Suddenly , nothing.

Derten awoke with a swelling headache. The figure he saw before must of wounded him... Derten checked his belongings , and looked for the guards. He saw nothing but the barren street he was in. The guards must of left? Derten , while holding his head , drudged his way back to his house.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer:
"Why?" , Derten asked himself , "Why must I , the most famous author in all of Anthos , take up a blade?" Just then he heard a snap. He turned left to right. The lush trees were coming to life around him. Rich soil , wet from rain , became his interest. But then , he heard a cry for help. He looked to the north. A man , clearly old then him , was being held up by a mercenary of some kind. Derten looked around for some stones or twigs. He never could take on both the men with his phyiscal state. A river , a few feet from the cottage , was filled with pebbles. Slowly , he climbed his way down to the bed of the river.

"OI!" One of the men must of spotted of Derten , or why would they be calling?

"YOU WALK AWAY , RIGHT NOW!" It was surely them , but Derten was still staring down at the water , stunned by the voice of the man.

Trud , trud , trud. A sudden loss of air. The man had Derten's throat in his grasp. The man could choke Derten to death within a few momments. "You deaf or somethin'? GET OUT OF 'ERE!"

Derten was dropped to the ground like a stone. His landing was rough , landing on some sharp stones in the river. Derten began running up the slope he came from. Back to his safe home.

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer: Derten found the area inside the capital boring , there was never much to write about. The birds always cheeped the same song , the men and women always said goodbye in the morning. Nothing new became of this boring city.

"Top quality items! Come and get 'em!"

To Derten's left was a wooden stall. The top of it was covered with red wool , dyed in the city. He could tell , the same dye was used for his bed. He wondered if he could obtain "Germain's Eperns". This book contained knowledge of travel. Traveling was always a safe topic to write about. Aswell as Dwarfen deeds. These sold the most , he found. Derten made his way to the stall , avoiding the plants are benches that scattered his way.

"I'm looking for a book... Germain's Eperns , It's quite rare"

"I might have that... Hold on a second..." He looked around his stall , which was cluttered with junk. Swords , drinks , herbs. If you could think it , it was there. He drew back some linen to reveal a tanned leather cover , large green words spelled out GERMAIN'S EPERNS INTO TRAVEL. The book I needed was within touching distance.

"50 pieces. No higher , no lower" Derten told the man.

"I'd say that a' fair deal..." The man picked up the book and was about to place it down when...

"60 pieces" Another bidder for the book had come. A elf , clearly of noble origin. He did not look at me or the man , just at the book. This man could spend 500 pieces on this. There was no way I could afford it.

"70 pieces" Derten proclaimed.

"75 pieces" This man was not giving up.

"80 pieces" How far could this man go?

"Let him have it. It's not worth what he's paying for it" And with that , the elf walked away , back into the street.

Derten had left with a new book to study , and a new story to write. This was not such a boring day after all.
