A Proposal For The Lords: Da Thruumaz'th Vuur Kladian

Kardel walks into the room of the obsidian throne, followed by two other dwarves cloaked in black, as he kneels before the king and lords in attendance. He motions to the dwarves in back of him as they roll down a flag, both holding it from its sides.

 

 

"Mah kings an' lords, tudeh ah present ye wif mah recent creation dat ah though of as a necessary addition to the kingdum uv Urguan, Da Thruumaz'th Vuur Kladian, the King's Dark Shield. Dis be un neu proposal fer un formal, disciplined, an' moch needed guard."

 

Kardel stands up, and rolls down a large paper with a sketch of what he plans to be a soldier of the  Thruumaz'th Vuur Kladian.

 

"Da Thruumaz'th Vuur Kladian will be trained in all of the arts of war. Be it stealth or 'and ta 'and combat, dey will be da masters uv battle. Dey will deal wif (translated for easier understanding):

 

• Protecting the king at all times
• Preforming black operations (espionage, sabotage, assassinations, etc)
• Dealing with traitors (raids, arrests, and so on)
• Executions
• Interrogations (includes torturing)
• Destroying corruption
• Bringing justice to the realm of Urguan in general

"Da Drakna Akvel will not be obliged to:"

 

• Protect citizens
• Serve under the Legion's commanders
• Serve under the city guard
• Protect any lords, jarls, or noblemen unless told so by the king 
• Meddle with legion buissness (unless such buissness relates to one of its goals, such as corruption, and treason. They are obliged to arrest any official or citizen that proves a traitor or any noble that proves corrupt. This comes AFTER their prime duty of protecting the king).

"Wif dat said, dere will also be a new rank put out. Dis rank will lead Da Thruumaz'th Vuur Kladian, dis rank will be da rank of  Da Thrummaz'th Akvelian, da King's Justice. Da King's Justice commands executions, raids, an' arrests. Da King's Justice also be responsible uv keepin da king sayfe at all times, an' makes all arrangements uv da king's travels. Ah await yer verdict"

Kardel motions to the two dwarves in back of him as they bring forth a shining suit of black plate armor adorned with spikes and horns:
