Why Does It Take So Long

I have posted my application, and I'm quite confident to become accepted with it.

It has been 2 days now, and I still haven't got any sign of the application team reviewing it.

 

I am getting desperate for some reason as I don't want to be annoying and send the application team these lame questions like "can u review my app?"

 

Is there any information of why it takes so long?

The application team do not have any particular order in which they do the applications, and while they often try to get the older ones done first, It really depends, but either way it'll be done soon.

But as it is holiday for most people on LotC I assume same goes for the AT members. 

A lot of them may be somewhere else then home without internet

As long as it isn't a week or anything I can be patient, then. But I want a vacation to enjoy LotC, not to wait for it.

That is basicly what I mean with waiting on a ban appeal, that'll be all I'll speak about it anymore, I'm patient enough from now on.

Took me 5 days to get accepted.  But I've been here for 2 years now.  It is well worth it.

I am not going to push my impatience further in the faces of the application team ,thats why I made this thread in the first place.

This is actually not true. We are required to do the apps chronologically, ignoring ones that are put on pending. As to the topic, it should normally only take a day or two to get a verdict, but as was said many of the AT members are on vacation.

As said earlier, many of the Application Team are on vacation. Also, with the same idea, you could say. Why does it take so long for a teacher to correct essays? This is because people need to read it over a few times. Also, they need to check for plagiarism, check for no powergaming or metagaming. There is many things that Application Team members have to do to make sure everyone who is accepted is ready. So it make take a few days. Also many people are joining so there may be people joining ahead of you. From what Esch said theirs will be corrected by them after all before are done. I wish you luck in joining.
