Name: Muriance Hephaestus

 

Race: Dark Elf

 

Gender: Male

 

Age: 50

 

Backstory: Muriance was born into a wealthy family, and his father
supplied him with everything he needed to become an elf worthy of high
society. Although his family was traditionally a scholarly, sheltered
clan, his father decided to give him a more practical education.
Although he was still given a classical education, he was also
instructed in everything from architecture to fishing to combat. He even
learned some of the theory and history of magic, although he had never
been so foolish as to attempt it without a guide. [N.B: In the roleplay,
this translates to about half of the "base" learning stage of magic.

His father eventually decided to send him out into the world at the age
of 50, to learn the skills necessary to survive in the world beyond his
sheltered home. So, on his 50th birthday, Muriance bid goodbye to his
family and set out on the Anthos Highway towards the lands of the
humans.

 

Personality: Muriance is friendly and outgoing, with a sarcastic
sense of humor. He retains a certain level of suspicion towards humans,
having never been inside one of their cities before, but doesn't have a
problem interacting with other species.

 

Ambitions: Muriance's primary goal is to better himself, whether it
be mental and physical. He also harbors an envy of High Elves, and
wishes to eventually be accepted into one of their cities. For now,
though, he's content with just surviving and learning.

 

Special skills: He knows quite a bit of the theory of
blacksmithing, or building, or even magic, but he has not had much of a
chance to put any of his knowledge into practice. He adapts quickly to
new environments, and is deadly with a bow.

 

Weaknesses: He is a sub-par warrior, never having much aptitude with a
sword. Although he is strong and agile, he cannot put his natural
advantages into use in combat. He is also very insecure about failure,
and has a crippling fear of caves.

 

Appearance: His skin color is nearly pitch black. His hair is
approximately the same shade as his skin, a very dark grey. His eyes are
bright green, making them the only spot of color in his body. His taste
in clothes is, predictably, black: his clothing is plain, with a woolen
shirt and leggings and black leather boots.
