OOC: Undead Air of Superiority?

The undead have long been accused of No-RP killing and such, and I've long defended you guys in this regard, but in my most recent experience I was extremely disappointed...

- An undead walks into Alstion with his robes and his minion with the intention of talking to his former friend, and then kill him to hide his identity. -

* The Alstion guards (completely unaware of his intentions) are alerted that there is an undead in the town, so they go to confront him. *

- The undead says he's busy RPings (which he is) and then tells us to GTFO OOC. -

* The Alstion guards are RPing as well, and completely ignoring the very probable situation where an undead is detected in town is just stupid. *

This is just stupid powergaming. The guards are RPing as well; undead can't march into town in their robes and claim they're busy RPing with someone else.

I was once mugging a guy, and then another person came along and figured out what was going on so I had to run - does that not make more sense? The absolute least you can do is dress up in something other than your battle robes like another undead had done earlier in the day and freely enter town.

Furthermore, when a human walks up to the undead fortress and says ((wait don't kill me!)) - they just die, and everyone has a laugh at them because they're so stupid.

Then just for good measure, he returns about 20 minutes later, completely out of character, punches a few of Zio's wolves and then stands around the city OOC for another 10 minutes. If a bandit did this in a town they would be reported...

Why is it that undead feel they are right in every RP situation, and have silent privileges that allow them to do things mortals can't do? This is not a matter of other humans no-rp killing, or other humans powergaming. You're supposed to set an example, not stoop to the level of new players.

This is one person; so it's not a direct attack on the entire race, but you seem to act as a unit, so anyone can come up with an explanation.

I am very sorry about this. I will clarify it with him. He is a new undead who had been told the rules, but I guess he avoided them in this case. It makes total sense for the guards to have come over to him. It is in their city. Again, I will talk to him about this.

Yeah, what Tyrion said.

The Undead strive to maintain an excellent level of roleplay, and most of the time we do this, but sometimes we all have our moments of, dare I say it, stupidity. I'm sure that after this situation has been brought to light we will up the requirement for good roleplay in an attempt to make sure this will not happen again.

It's not that we believe we have silent privileges above those of the average player, but we are often having to deal with players not quite understanding the role of an Undead or how to act around them, so things such as these sometimes happen. And, as this is a new Undead, misinterpretations and misjudgements are bound to happen, we just have to make sure they don't happen more than once.

balin has always been a good RP'er when ive been near him , when fighting he gives about 2 warnings before striking in a time which gives you enough to type a full sentence so maybe this should slide :)

the wolf killing was a bit weird though

you seem to have a lot of moments of stupidity you always claim to be right like one time i saw the prohpet say this is my disguise when i was scouting on the undead and apperantly when he went in alk ahazar and i said that he was undead it was meta gaming.....

I just hate that undead can walk straight into the main city and claim they are not undead and if someone says "look at your robes" they go ((METAGAMER!))

Seriously though. I can't get a skin with a hood on and enter the undead fortress, so why is it they don't even have to disguise themselves?

Our worst enemy can just walk in and out of our city with the same clothes that they wore killing people . That is worrying.

certain colour robes we have found out are used by certain undead ranks (not reading off wiki btw :) ))

When i say this i mean it, it should be easier to infiltrate the undead the undead arent at all intelligent so it should be easy, but they go out of character and claim that your not undead or your not worthy or some bs just because they KNOW ooc your trying to infiltrate them.

The undead ARE highly intelligent. They take wisdom over brutality. I don't know where you got that from. Also, you can call out an undead if he is wearing the robes, but some people just walk up to the undead when they are in disguise and say "I recognize your voice" and stuff like that. That is when they call meta.

highly intelligent people would let people infiltrate there base and give them false information and get soldiers killed, trapped or tortured.....

Okay im sorry! ive told this a bunch of times the last day and mostly all i can say is it was 5-6 am and i was tierd.

And i had NO intention of killing him, there wasent even talking of killing when you came Me and the two other players told you in a nice manner to leave the rp and let us finish.

But when you came and complained we moved location and he found out an "ingenious" idea to run around in the city screaming stuff. (was on ts with)

This is about one incident, not about Undead being able to sneak into Al'Khazar, which they should be able to do. There was actually one undead I spoke to before that I genuinely believed was a human.

Once I was tricked to think an undead was ascended. But he was wearing Ascended robes with I think is kind of cheating

Well I'm satisfied with how this has been addressed. Security is tight around Alstion for obvious reasons so expect to be grilled if you aren't a regular or if someone we trust reports suspicious activity. A little effort can go a long way, ie change skin and /setname Hooded Soandso. Do that and voila, no confusion over whether a guard should recognize them and with a little wordplay the stranger should be let in. On the flip side I've seen a 10+ min RP standoff outside of the Snowy Fields ruin wrecked by a random player running up out of the blue and start punching the prophet vex I assume just based on MC name (who was just there OOC to watch the RP as he had been recently slain).

A ban request had also been submitted and processed for the serial wolf punching as well, fyi.

They aren't Ascended robes, you were just being a little dim and didn't realise they were Undead Councilor robes.
