A Thief In The Night

The red shadow crept through the home, sticking to the darkness. As he passed the child room he heard the faint whispers of some kids, clearly up past their bedtime. He smirked, remembering his childhood, although it wasn't one of warm beds and fun sleepovers. The red figure shook his head and continued down the hall into the parents room. The faint breathing of the mother and deep breaths of the father alerted the trespasser that they were sleeping. A faint sparkle glimmered beneath the woman's pillow.

"Perfect."

The figure muttered as it crept over to the small bed. As he reached under the pillow his hands began to shake, he shouldn't have had his bucket of sugar cubes earlier... in excitement he grabbed the diamond necklace hastily and backed up...

"Squeeaaakkkk"

The floorboard made a noise beneath his padded moccasin. The man jumped out of bed, grabbing a nearby cane and chased at the short figure. A wild swing soared above the  burglar's head, giving him time to jab at the man's chest, knocking the wind out of him. Knowing he couldn't withstand this giant of a man in a full blown fight the thief broke into a sprint, knocking the off blalance man over and leaping out the window....

"SMASH!"

The figure dropped down onto the stone road, bending his knees to break his fall. Shaking off any pain the experienced thief sprinted down the road and lept atop his horse, trotting off.

Frost whinnied in delight as he and his master trotted down the road outside of Abresi, the market place swarming with guards. Bod patted his pony's neck, handing the barrel-chested animal a sugar cube before popping on in his mouth.

"Sure is good to be back yeah?"

OOC:

Just announcing that Bod is no longer inactive, hide your jewels and lock your doors.

Meanwhile in Kralta...

Lark looks up from his anvil, a red hot spear-head lays unfinished and he murmurs to himself. "I sense a disturbance in te' sugar mills.."
