The Cleric Charge

As the night began to fall upon the murder filled streets of Malinor the sound of crashing hooves can be heard coming down the path.  As the sound grows closer it can be seen that a group of men riding snow white horses is headed straight for the gates. The steeds move quickly but it seems as though none of the men have weapons drawn.  As they approach the gates it seems that they are all adorn in golden and white robes and armor.  Some faces of the men can be seen while others are hid behind their helms. The faces of Hosper Blackthorn, Siris,Rethu, Mirlene, Mandru, and Rickard can be recognized while the rest of the party has their face concealed.  As they near the gate they get into a V formation
with Hosper at its head.

As they enter the city shouts can be heard from the men.

“For the light must be spread and return to this barren land being filled with
                 darkness”

“Darkness can only ever be found where there isn't light. Pick up the shield and serve the light”

All of the horses come to a halt as they pass through the front gate and everyone apart from Hosper dismounts and walks forward forming two straight lines on either side of Hosper’s horse. They all begin drawing either their blade or staff pointing it into the air.

As they do Hosper withdraws his own staff pointing it straight into the air. As he does a bright flash emanates from it straight into the heavens. Said flash could be seen through most of the city to the druids’ grove and the high council chambers.  He then speaks.

“Brothers and sisters of Malin you have been scorn with an awful force lurking throughout your streets kidnapping and murdering many. In a time like this I introduce the Clerics an order rather long forgotten to the tests of time. We ride into this city to mark our return to the fight so as we might spread the light and diminish the darkness.  As we cannot do this alone we welcome you to fight with us against the scourge and take back these lands which belong to you the sons and daughters of Malin.

“Druids… What is happening inside these streets must anger your aspects at least as much it does our patron of Purity… nature too must reclaim what belongs to it and let this taint spread no further. “

“Delvers… This is what you live for… The fight, victory and knowledge as well as having your name forever printed in the history books join with us and we can do great things.”

“And of course the High Council…. I invite you to set all the forces you have as GAURDS we have the scourge and cultists freely walking about…The sariants are here to help protect the princess… allow them to protect the people of Malinor as well. “

Hosper then reaches down with his staff to touch the head to the ground. As it touches a stream of light shoots out of it into the earth. It then moves quickly to form the glowing image of a golden stag imprinted upon the ground pulsing faintly.

“Join with and we shall not falter. Join with us and the light purge the darkness”

Hosper then dismounts from his horse and stands with the rest of his order. They all sheath their weapons and look at the crowd.  The stag imprint still pulsing in front of his feet.

A letter is sent to hosper in the next coming days. The seal of khel's clan keeps the letter together

Know that on my return I bring change to malinor. At the city itself you will find construction and building. In the coming days my panacea will be exposed and these wretches that are a blemish on our peaceful forests will be abolished. Order will be vindicated. Peace will return, or my existence in malinor carries no purpose.

You concerns are understood and respected llir, but know that I am simply not sitting and watching the bloodshed.

-Prince Khe Z'ress Oussanal

Vierna blinks as she watches Hosper's little show. "Hey, I've tried to convince the Druids. The old coots just complain though. Never doing anything theirselves."

Quavinir runs into Malinor behind the rest of the clerics, huffing loudly "Oi... Zey alvays forgate meh..." He says perturbed, his red tattoos pulsing fast with a racing heartbeat, obviously due to Quavinir running.

A man begins to approach the group from the Clerical Order, with two others walking at his sides. They all don black armor, trimmed with a bronze-looking color, and rest their hands upon the hilts of their blades. On their chest rests a symbol of a circle with various lines outstretching from it. For a moment there is silence, though after a moment the middle figure speaks up.

"There is nothing to fear any longer, Clerics. We of the Eventide Dominion, fighters of the Creator's Will and Covenant, have arrived in these lands just a month prior and are already making great strides. The cultists you speak of are all dead, their heads now resting from our pikes, their keep in the hands of the Dominion. We are the new protection of Malinor now, and will be protecting these lands from the consuming evil that rests within the world of Anthos. If your goal truly is just, as you claim, you are free to join us in our crusade against villainy."

The figure takes a step back, the other two following him. He remains silent, awaiting a response from Hosper.

Looks to the man a with an inquisitive look.

"Protectors of Malinor aye? I was unaware of one acting under the false higher being in Malinor...I am sure that you have truly made Malinor the safest place to live... I have dozens heads in the streets as of late... I am sure you are working to protect what you believe the light's will is sadly I fear you hold little power when it come to fighting what comes across that wall of ice to pluck the women and children from the land... Fight along side us for alone you will be lost to the beast that thirst for your blood. My order and I shall be here till the streets are truly safe and free of darkness."

Nods and waits a moment for the man's response

Benedict lets out a chuckle at the man's words before he begins to speak once again.

"Fool. We've arrived here just the past Elven day, and have already taken out an entire group of Iblees cultists who have plagued Malinor for years, haunting and killing her people. What have you done today? Pranced around here, claiming your message of hope, and insulted people who share the very same goals you do. Tell me, heretic, you claim the Creator is a false God? Do you Clerics not follow him yourself? As I said before, if your cause is just, you'd be wise to actually do something for the suffering people of these lands then berate the very ones trying to make their lives better. Pathetic. Come back to these lands once you actually have something useful to contribute, and have the intention of truly helping Malinor's people."

He steps back again, once again awaiting Hosper's response.

Lets out a sigh.

"You are young and not well versed obviously. Clerics follow the true patron Taheriae a god which we can speak to freely... Unlike your unknowing source "The Creator" who left this plane before time began. I speak with my higher power to gain guidance. I have the true knowledge of the light. Your statement simply shows how little you know. We are a guild founded before your grandfather was born and must once again come to battle. As for the Iblee's cultists. I highly doubt they are gone. I have had those in my ranks killing them for years... You are foolish enough to think your single battle could solve the problem? I come in here to rally my brothers and sisters... Why have I not been here sooner? Perhaps because I have been fighting the true force that lies directly north of here. Do not speak of what you do not know. My message of hope is they message of hope for you are but a soldier marching blindly while I have been sent my mission from the seven skies."

Stands there waiting again.

The strange hooded woman known as Rose sits under a tree nearby, her familiar staff set across her lap. In her hands is a small chess piece, slowly spun over and over in her grasp. Her piercing eyes, the only thing visible underneath her hood, watch the confrontation.

Benedict once again chuckles at the man, and begins to speak another time.

"Clearly you are inept, and incapable of protecting the lands if you allowed Malinor to suffer for such a long time, yet are as ancient of an Order as you claim. Tell me, does it matter who we follow and who you follow? We want the same thing, peace across these lands, yet you berate us as if we are something lesser. I assure you, we have done more for the Princedom in a mere Elven day then you have your entire lives.

As for the Cultists? I assure you, they are dead. Our flag now hangs above their keep, our Dominion standing strong over their now crumbling hold. We made sure they were eradicated thoroughly. There are a mere few left, who will never be able to organize to their once strength.

Now, I shall say again what I already said twice. If your goals are truly just, and you actually want to help the Malinorian people, then assist us in our task instead of spewing forth hate and heretical nonsense. We both want the same thing, yet you seem to be unable to grasp such a concept.

Benedict steps back again, awaiting another response of heresy.

Mythras can't help but smirk. "The Clerics move forth! The cult is on it's last days!" He murmurs.

Looks at the man for but a moment more.

"Mhmm very well... we seek the same goals I suppose... Let us fight for the light then... Even if you don't know where it resides"

Turns to the rest of the crowd not waiting for a response still not impressed at all by such an order which falsely follows the creator. Then he gestures to Art for him to come join him in front of the crowd.

"So the Delvers are prepared to fight back. Who else?"

Art watches the entire scene with a calm and composed expression, then gives a singular nod.

"We join. Time to bring order to chaos. With the Clerics, not the White rose reborn, of course."

Benedict snarls under his mask as he watches Art speak towards the Clerics, and begins to mumble under his breath.

"It seems someone is jealous that we accomplished what they couldn't do in a whole year, yet we did in just a single day."

He begins to walk off, chuckling as he exits Malinor. He prepares for his upcoming plans to assist the Princedom.
