You can take away everything that makes me, well, me, I guess. Just ask yourself what you'll find once you've taken it all away. You may think you'll find some happy small child that will be exactly what you wanted me to be. I'd hate to disappoint but you know what? You won't find that. You'd be more apt to find a broken, miserable creature. Thats what you would find if you take away the things that make me who I am. You may not love who I am or want to accept me, but there are other people who do. Why else are they my friends? I'm not in this life to please you or anyone else. I tried once, and I hated every moment of it. Loving someone doesn't mean you change who they are, it means you accept them unconditionally. Otherwise you are just using them. You may say its just something in my head making me say this, but you know, thats okay. If thats how you choose to exist, so be it. Thats not how I choose to exist though, so all I ask is that you at the very least respect that.

Satisfied with their story, the creature slowly rises from the desk and walks to the window. Content with the contents of their letter, the creature reaches out, musing over how fragile paper is and how hazardous words can be. A moment later they release the letter, giving it to the wind to carry away.

MEANWHILE IN NEW YORK

A junior in high school catches the letter as he takes a walk, reads it, and lets it fly away again,

letting someone else learn of the letter's message.

((Good read, if people can't accept others for who they are, ain't worth bothering with them.

Something I've learned many..many times.))

((Deep seated self-loathing and cynicism is evident.

Good attempt at forcing empathy on the protagonist.

Poorly chosen topic of writing however, you need to apply yourself more.

6/10))
