A Figure In The Night

Deep beneath Lin'evaral two figures did meet. An air of both trepidation and excitement seemed about them. Yet, no one but these two elves would know of this for in that hall they were alone. Through the day a repetitive sound echoed throughout the street before the smithy, the dull clank of metal upon metal. The sun bid the world farewell in crimson colored hues and yet the sounds continued on. The moon rose high into the sky and as abruptly as it had begun, the din ceased.

From beneath not two but three figures emerged. The two mali'aheral were perhaps recognizable in the dim light and behind them lumbered their behemoth. In the darkness a fourth figure was to arrive, whispers were exchanged until eventually the figure was to emerge into the torchlight. To those who passed these three elves would stand before a knight like figure of steel and cloth with a hulking sword within its hand. From its visor and maw spewed a cyan glow. Its stoic gaze pierced the night.

To those who passed its nature perhaps would remain unknown, for now. The behemoth stood still in silence.

Vulnir emerges from his dingy servant's quarters by the gates, his sleepwear consisting merely of hid underthings, carrying his chamber pot. In the distance, he briefly spies an immense figure lurking in the streets before it lumbers into an alleyway, out of sight. He thinks he saw a glint of metal in the faint light coming from a nearby window.

As he scratches his bare chest with dirty fingernails, he wonders, "Hmm... could that have anything to do with that big ol' arm I saw down in the laboratory...?"

He only thinks about this for a second though. He shrugs, and goes off to bury the contents of the chamber pot in Valmuel's garden, where it will hopefully create a stink of indeterminate origin for a few days.

Ellsia senses a disturbance in the equilibrium of golem distributiom and ownership. She doesn't think much of it though.
