Kaila sits with several books next to her. The strange writing seems something only a higher up can read. She sighs as she looks down at the leather bound book.

Aislinn scratches his head, praying to the Gods of Patriotism. He suddenly evaporates into a pile of items as ominous text floats above his corpse.

Just a suggestion, Instead of making it "strange text that no one can read" Which will lead scholars to going crazy trying to solve it. Why  not include a cute short story in the beginning.

 

Maybe one of the monks could find or create something a few pages long that is appropriate for new players.
