The White Rose, What Happened?

The White Rose was a military organization lead by the Chivay brothers that came to dominate Human politics and eventually formed their own kingdom inside of the Holy Oren Empire. As said above, they showed great racism, specifically to Wood and Dark Elves, but also to other Elves and Orcs. They were also very competitive with rival military orders, such as the Teutonic Order and Order of the Lion. They were arguably one of the best military forces on LoTC.

 

They eventually dis-banded due to a number of reasons IC and OOC, and Mogroka's demotion was probably the last straw. There are still old Roses around (like me) who could tell you quite a bit.

Thought I'm a biased source, the Rose pretty much took the Teutonic Order's title for greatest military order.

Oi mate! we still be a few people around but the few that are left is all pretty much divided everywherem but i gotta admit the White roses where fun while it lasted. :)

and also yeah we where racist IC´ly but some people just could not see the difference of real life and Rp so sometimes after rp with some people, we got hate messages ooc´ly. I

even tried once where i where told that "you are a bad person because your racist and you "are" your character" i really hope something like that never happens again, and people will be smart enough to draw the line between life and rp.

The White Rose was arguably the single most impressive military order in Lord of the Craft's history, up there with what the Teutonic Order used to be (not what it is now). It was that way because its multiple leaders were brilliant and knew what they were doing.

From the guy that trained them as RP rookies and founded the T.O., let us not even try to slip words such as "arguably", the White Rose were a spectacular group and should be recognized in their suchness- not on some ranking list.

White Rose

Militant Order.

Initially formed to hunt mages, monsters and abnormalities. Unfortuantely, I was not around for the forming of the Order and can not give an in-depth run down of it's early times.

Late Asulon and Early Anthos, the White Rose gained significant power within Oren, effectively replacing the Flay and Teutonic Order and Horen's Lap dogs. We became a political tool for Oren. If there was Skirmish, the White Rose would be given reign over the matter. Be it tactics or numbers.

As time went on, the Rose was given petty assignment pretty much any and everywhere within Oren. Be it guard detail, patrol, or detainment. We were a constant thorn in people's side, though, only in RP. Our leadership did in fact, hate Elves in RP. Which gave us a bit of OOC tension. With our persisted victories and placements, we'd gained more and more notoriety. People just didn't like us OOCly, most of our bad reputation gained through bickering, rumor and misinformation.

I was a Rose, as such, take the information as you will. Half asleep, apologies for cluttered thought process.

To answer the, "What Happened?"

The general thought process and attitude of the community made a large chunk of us lose interest in the server. Our RP was generally frowned upon, mocked and belittled.
People forgot the distinct line between keyboard and hand. The disrespect from the community to us was baffling. We attempted waiting it out, but, decided it just wasn't worth the effort.

White Rose were awesome role players who focused on creating the second greatest military order in the history of LOTC, though IC'ly they were racist towards Wood and Dark Elves it caused conflict OOC'ly because some players felt they were being targeted OOC'ly which I believe is incorrect. They left the server when the Admin Mogroka was demoted which I still disagree with his demotion.

I'm not gonna contribute to the potential tension of the thread, but I will say to the OP that the legacy of the Roses, and everything they accomplished lives on today, and is revered by many.

It could not and would not ever be the same. The White Rose left a legacy that will never be forgotten; attempting to revive it would only tarnish that.

Anyone that takes and pride in anything they've done or do, will feel that it is the greatest. Matters of perspective, but avoiding a stupid argument would be favorable.

I disagree mortal, with your claim that we are 'filthy'. I've bathed thrice this evening and once after second breakfast. I applied various flower-scented materials to my garments and hair, producing a wondrous aroma, so close to the earth the Aspects have breathed life into. Filth is to describe dirtiness, which is abundant in your village constructed out of mud, straw, and shite made from your cattle. You've also not shaved in quite some time, a shame you've not dwelled on this plane long enough to properly understand the concept of 'public decency'. I would suggest you read a tome on how to better your accent and vocabulary, born and crafted through years of inbreeding, yet I doubt you can read at all or have the mental capacity to perform such a basic task.
