Mephistophelian 977 Share Posted October 24, 2013 Ok, I don't want to power game if it is even power gaming but I have decided since a long time ago that my character would find out he is half elf after reaching the ages of 30 and not noticing the signs of age most humans of 30 show. However, there is a problem. When I applied my character to the server, I stated he was a human, but it never mentioned him knowing his parents very well as they got blown up in a creeper explosion (they aren't on the server anymore, so I said it was magic that killed them) when he was young, and the magic I mentioned in the brackets caused him to forget that his mother was an elf and who his kin were (if he had any). Anyway, what I am asking is that if it is acceptable that I make my character a half breed as he wasn't originally one. Also, I don't think I am remembering correctly but it might be that elves are infertile. I'll check that out on the wiki later, but please try and answer this anyway! Thanks, Hugothechamp Edit: Just checked if elves are infertile and it seems like they can breed anyway, so I guess it all works out, so please tell me if this is allowed. The Fact Core 511 Share Posted October 24, 2013 Adunian are Half Human, Half Elf (I believe). They got a town in the dwarven lands.
ShadowoKing 86 Share Posted October 24, 2013 Adunian is different to halfbreed elf-human, halfbreed have both curses. Human's aging and Elves infertile basically even worse unless you be Adunian and not have human curse.
Cappy 1599 Share Posted October 25, 2013 Half-breeds, as already mentioned in this thread, suffer the full racial curse of both races. A human-elf half-breed would be both infertile and short-lived, for example.
everblue2er101 906 Share Posted October 25, 2013 You don't need to follow your server application exactly, it can be further developed while roleplaying. That part is fine. Everything stated above about children of two races is true. You should also be aware that Humans can actually live to 150 years old.
Mephistophelian 977 Author Share Posted October 25, 2013 Ok! the thanks everyone for answering, I guess my guy is an Adunian after all. I'll be role playing his difficulty accepting this and perhaps him descending into madness as humans are not mentally supposed to live for so long a time (for example, if you could live for ever (I know elves can't but this is an example) you would get pretty bored quickly and would suffer from losing your friends constantly). Also, I realise that it seems like I might have made my guy half elf just to make him live longer. Actually, I wanted him to provide interesting RP for his difficulty accepting his breed, but I won't lie, I did want my guy to keep living so that I could keep providing the RP that this character provided (though that was a secondary or tertiary reason)
Googlesearch 141 Share Posted October 25, 2013 Adunians are not half breeds per say, They are descended from half breeds which have changed/evolved into the current Adunians
