Vekrus 396 Share Posted October 29, 2013 "To live by Honor and for Glory" - Goals of the Guard - The Royal Guard has but one true goal and that is to serve and protect the people of the human realm as best they can. They are defenders of the weak and protectors of freedom. The men are unmatched in their fighting skills and rarely fail to perform at the task at hand. Some hold a strong belief in the ends justifying the means, meaning many might not like the ways in which they accomplish their tasks, though as long as they get the job done, they are satisfied with the role they play. - Duties within the Guard - In Times of Peace Walk the roads of Anthos protecting the weak and providing justice to those who commit crimes. Guard the gates into the main cities of the human lands and protect the city from enemies. [some duties will be on hold for now. More to be added later.] In Times of War Fight for House Tarus and its allies at any cost. - Equipment and Pay - Equipment Armor and weapons as needed. Daily rations of food. A bed and private chest with locks if wanted. Spoils of war, unless directed otherwise by the General. Pay General - 3oo minas per elven week Captain - 250 minas per elven week Sergeant - 200 minas per elven week Guard - 150 minas per elven week Footman - 100 minas per elven week - Ranks of the Guard - Lord Marshal This man is the leading figure of the Guard. He manages who holds what position within the Guardians and lays out battle and training tactics to his Captains. He is renowned for his leadership skills and will stop at nothing to ensure the success of the Guard in battle. Captain There are two Captains within the Guard. Their job is to lead the Guard on a day to day basis and make sure everything is running smoothly. They are chosen specifically for their display of loyalty and talents of leadership in battle. The Captains are also some of the most skillful warriors and watch over the soldiers and assigns them to their correct groups. It is the Captain's role to ensure that the warriors who serve are working effectively. They also lay out training schedules and report any progress back to the Commander. Sergeant There are four Sergeants in the Guard. They work closely with the Captains to learn how to adequately lead the Guard and the rest of the men. They have proven themselves worthy of the title through their leadership abilities and valor in battle. Guard These men have now proven themselves in battle as fighters. Those who reach this rank are officially a part of the Guard. They will perform basic duties and be the main line of defense in battle. These men take all orders from the higher ranking men. Footman These men are new to the Guard and have yet to prove their loyalty and fighting ability.
