  1. The old Knight and the Relative of the Bride was NOT happy because he was not invited.
  2. The Knight would read the missive as he let out a soft chuckle "Ohh, we all are really getting old... This reminds me. I must make something special for every attendee and perhaps maybe secretly make an addition to the event that would surprise everyone... maybe a competition where random winners get enchanted jewelry? perhaps..."
  3. The aging Knight would light up a candle wherever he is hiding now, as he wept while speaking "Oh dear Nicoletta, uncle Emi would never have ever thought there will be a day where I would hear such news about you. You may have not been related by blood, but I consider you as my first daughter. I wish I was there in your final moments in your life, just like I was in your first ones. Werever you are right now, I am always proud of you. Stay safe up there..." before disappearing once more. The blonde Halcourt would hear about his Eldest sister's passing as he remained silent. No emotions were shown nor expressed. He. as well lit up a candle as he kept meditating in an Owynist Temple, somewhere in Almaris as he kept praying for his sister while muttering "Miene schwester, wir vill meet again, ein day. Ich vill miss du, und may die holy flame guide uns all"

  15. Introduction: For those interested, we will be discussing and explaining everything that revolves around the Commonwealth of the Petra, a relatively new country in the east of Almaris. Before we talk about Petra, all the readers here may ask: Why did Petra become the name of the Commonwealth? Some might say that the name of Petra is taken from the Akritian word for ‘Strength and Resilient’ which is exactly the current situation of the nation, as it will always be strong and resilient, no matter how many obstacles it may come through, and that we will always defend it till its last breath. However, this is not the reason nor the origin that Petra has become the name for the nation, as the meaning was nothing but coincidental and this is merely a fun fact. The real origin of the name dates back much earlier, as far as the later days of the Holy Orenian Empire. This missive is created for people who want to know and understand more about Petra or if they ever want to be citizens of this great nation, and it is also made for other nations to have a deep understanding in regards to it, and in the hopes that it will allow us to better foster new friendships with others. What is Petra? 2.1 The Geographical & Historical Aspect The Commonwealth of Petra is located within Eastern Almaris, at the coast of River Petra, North of the ruins where the capital city of Vienne once stood preceding the fall of the Kingdom of Oren. Additionally, its name originates from its position. (The Map of Almaris circa. 1894) Petra is landlocked between the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska and the United Kingdom of Aaun. It had previously been a member of the Harvest Confederacy, from which Petra was granted its independence in the year 1891. The Upper Petra is where the Commonwealth resides, as the Lower Petra has continued to remain under the Kingdom of Aaun. The land size of the Nation is estimated, assuming it is a square size, minus the irregular dimension size, it would be around 112,000 meters squared or 112 kilometers squared. The actual size is being calculated under the works of the Petrene Scholars Guild. Many of its geographical projects are currently under development. The landscape of Petra consists mostly of forests, however, it is remarkable also due to having a big lake, a river, and a few mountainous sides. Petra has a small surface area compared to most nations, however, it has huge farm plots, making its economical side outstanding compared to its small size, making the money invested within the nation easily gained and barely spent. The climate is considered to be temperate and dry, meaning all in all mild mostly all year around. One such native herb that is naturally grown in Petra is Ant’s Blight, which is commonly found within the Brascan woods. The fauna of these lands usually consists of wild deer, boars, owls, and hares. However, the most remarkable thing within its ecosystem is the fish species. The pure water, and the mild climate, make the plants underwater grow into nutritious meals for all kinds of freshwater fish. These spots are usually the perfect place for fish to breed and reproduce, making them taste extra exquisite compared to most nations’ seafood. There are many things I suggest travelers see and explore within the lands of Petra if they decide to come. Getting on a boat with a friend or a lover while on the flowing river of Petra is my highest suggestion. The calm waters and the calm wind breezing over it give a wonderful sensation while you get to have a chance to spend some calm, alone time for yourself that can help you forget about your problems. Personally, as the Scholar Master, I always suggest to my patients who feel emotionally down to go there as a way of therapy. Mount Garmont is also a great place to visit as a visitor. This mountain has the ruins of some buildings from the Holy Orenian Empire, and it is now the place where it carries the legendary name of the Hall of Fame for Petra. The greatest knights and figures of the Commonwealth have statues within these halls, with those who have performed extraordinary deeds for the nation have their names engraved on the stones there. In the early 19th century, the Holy Orenian Empire reorganized its dominions. This led to the recognition of many unique cultural regions within the empire’s lands. An outdated map of the Empire, circa 1842 In a historic decision with the “Edict of Petra,” being declared by Emperor Philip III and Empress Anastasia I in 1855, “Imperial Circles” were introduced to the Holy Orenian Empire. The regions above and below the capital of Providence were dubbed Upper and Lower Petra respectively, previously known as such colloquially in minor hamlets and counties. It is speculated that the term “Petra'' paid homage to Emperor Peter III, a notable figure in Orenian history accredited with reigning over one of the eight empire’s most successful periods. By 1866, Petra had distinguished itself as a breadbasket for the Holy Orenian Empire. The Lower Petra especially had become synonymous with the country’s will to persevere. The son of Philip III, Peter Augustus, was bestowed the title of the Duke of Petra prior to the Brother’s War. He was given the responsibility to oversee the Imperial Circle in tandem with its Viceroy. He did so for the next few years until the onset of the Orenian Civil War and his subsequent execution. Many minor houses settled in the Upper Petra during this period at the tail-end of Philip III’s reign. During this time, the Upper Petra was also settled by the Emperor’s youngest son, Frederick Aurelian. The County of Mardon was landed in the region and served as a commercial hub in northeastern Oren in the years preceding the Brother’s War. By the time of Fredrick I’s victory in the Orenain Civil War and his subsequent reign over the Reformed Kingdom of Oren, Old Mardon fell derelict as many of his supporters and courtiers moved to the capital. Yet prior to the war, the King of Oren did build the town of Old Vienne, which was later renamed Valfeur. The nobility of the region, however, continued to populate Upper Petra. This included the Barony of Artois, which was ruled under Evangeline-Marie Halcourt, the Counties of Temesch and Moere, held by Paul Temesch, the County of Mardon, presided over by Matilde of Mardon, and the Barony of Rosius, which was ruled by the late Baroness Hera II and her successor, Roxana Aimee de Rosius. Many years later, settlers led by Paul Salvian and the displaced Princess Imperial, Catherine of Furnestock, joined the Countess of Mardon in her lands with the intention of establishing a new nation. They decided to dub their newfound nation fittingly: “The Commonwealth of the Petra,” for both its location, etymology, and history. The titled peers who used to live within these lands before the founding of the Commonwealth, many of its founders, are now a part of the Old Regime. The Old Regime is used to collectively refer to the peers who yielded their lands to form the Commonwealth. Once electors of the Regent of the Commonwealth, they no longer hold any formal power in the government nor any direct political duties, yet are an important part of Petra’s ceremonial and cultural life . After the announcement of the Harvest Confederacy’s dissolution, Petra went independent and the Kingdom of Aaun was formed. After a few conflicts and issues between the both nations. A peace treaty was written at the peace summit of Haense 2 years ago, which gave Petra an expansion of its land’s within the south. Who are the Petrans? 3.1 The Origin Petrans are the people who reside in the Commonwealth. They come from pretty much all kinds of places and nations, however, the most common origin within its lands comes from the Savoy roots as most of the biggest families come from there. The Old Petran language mimics the Savoyardian tongue the most. Petrans come from regions that are deemed to be ‘classic’ and from rural areas which primarily focus on agriculture and other peasant activities that seem to look quite traditional. Some Petrans also come from the Orenian Kingdom and the Holy Orenian Empire. 3.2 Attitudes & Outlook Petrans are very friendly and welcoming to everyone when they come within their lands. They are strong, resilient, and outgoing. However, Petrans are also known for their unyielding grit and sense of pride, able to turn their attitude into a totally unfriendly, and possibly intimidating one when wronged or boundaries have been crossed. Petrans are currently a small community and everyone knows each other there, and they also act as if they are one big family, if a Petran is in need, everyone else shall come to the aid without thinking twice. Petran men usually are tough, and quite quiet to strangers yet very friendly and full of a sense of humor to those who are close to them. They are most into physical work such as training, fighting, and sparring with other males, yet there are of course some exceptions like myself, who tend to do work that is much more intellectual, such as doctrine and politics. The ladies, however, are known for their elegance and charity among the realms of humanity. The mothers usually would teach their daughters etiquette at a very young age, from their way of speaking and acting, to the manner in which they perform chores and duties. There is a Knight Circle, the Circle of St Emma which is specifically for young ladies and squires to learn etiquettes and other knightly tasks that will help the Commonwealth. 3.3 Daily Life and Activities The daily life of the average Petran is one of rural simplicity. A citizen of Petra, upon waking up for breakfast, will almost immediately prepare for work. Some Petrans within 6 AM would prepare their work in the fields to yield some crops for the nation, while some, for example, soldiers, would wake up at the same time to warm up and train with their comrades before some tasks given by their ranking officer, or some merchants waking up at the same time to set up their stalls and businesses for them to operate for the day. However, each person has a different schedule, lifestyle, and activities, thus I should list them below in a separate category. Daily Routine of the Petran Farmer & Fisherman 6:00 Wakes up 6:30 Breakfast: Wild Berries. Bread Sardines 7:00 Field Work Noon Rest & Lunch 14:00 Field Work 18:00 Dinner: Vegetable Stew Cod / Trout Lettuce & Cabbage Salad 19:00 Tavern Nights & Freetime 22:00 Bedtime Farmers and Fishermen are considered to be the lowest class within the hierarchy of the commonwealth. They usually reside in rural areas which are far off from Valfleur. Usually, they live within the lands of Old Regimes or Knights and work in their fields, providing produce rather than coins to pay their taxes. Usually, they eat mostly carrots, bread, and fish as their main diet. In their free time, they either go to the capital and share their favorite alcoholic drink, Ale, while spending time with their friends or family. Some of them take on more tough work such as construction and other mechanical work. Their tasks also may be shepherding, hunting, etc. The Sons of Petra, formerly known as Pikemen, are the soldiers of the Commonwealth whose main duty is to protect the Commonwealth and serve it at all times. They are considered somewhat higher in the ranking than farmers. They usually live within the capital or the outpost of the Commonwealth. Their main diet is consistent with meat to improve their strength and muscle mass. The Marshal makes sure, and I quote, that their soldiers eat ‘badass’ food to become badass. Daily Routine of the Petran Soldier 6:00 Wakes up 6:30 Breakfast: Fruits White Bread Tuna 7:00 Training & Field Work Noon Rest & Lunch 14:00 Patrolling 18:00 Dinner: Mushroom with Chicken Stew Steak Seasoned Salad 19:00 Tavern Nights & Freetime 22:00 Bedtime 22:30 Start of Night Patrolling Shift (Only to some Soldiers) Now, let me tell you this: The Sons of Petra are BADASSES. Now before we continue with the Knights and the Old Regime lifestyle and the activities that you CAN do while visiting Petra or deciding to stay in Petra, I must write how the sons are just pure badass. Not only do you get to protect the land, but also you can go on badass adventures, meet badass comrades, and also do badass stuff. The armor worn represents the flag colors, red, white, and black, and their logo is simply a skull. The rankings go from Petran Patrol, Sargeant, Lieutenant, to Commander. Petran Patrol is the most interesting part, as you are given a funny nickname depending on your traits or if something embarrassing happened to you. They call me, a Knight, Holy-Mage describing the face I'm a mage… and that I had a hole in my abdomen due to some conflict ages ago… hehe, anyways, trust me, if you join you’ll make the best memories and meet the closest people to your life, and we have lots of vast training like squats, laps, dueling and weekly tasks as filling the armory and finding the coolest weapons. Soon enough I am sure the government will give more additions and advantages to the people who protect our lands. Now, this is the first thing I recommend to people to do when they decide to live in the Commonwealth. In regards to hierarchy, I have observed that knights and Old Regime are typically of similar social standing. They are pretty much the ‘trusted’ people within the nation, and those who proved themselves to be worthy. Starting with Knights, there are currently 3 circles. Circle of the Star, Circle of St Emma, and Circle of the Eagle. Starting with the Circle of the Star, they are primarily Squires and Knights who primarily work on documentation, paper-work, and other tasks that require mental strength. Circle of the Eagle primarily focuses on chivalry and combat training and strength, while finally, the Circle of St Emma is primarily for ladies and other tasks. Knights have somewhat power within the government and they lead squires into doing tasks and train them to become knights. The Old Regime however, is just considered nobility within the nation. Both have similar tasks, and eat a similar diet, consisting of large, fancy and delicate meals. The second thing I suggest brave, intelligent individuals is to be appointed as a squire under an available knight. The squires would go under many trials, and once they pass all of them, they will become a knight. It all depends on the Knight you're a Squire under. For example, I, Ser Emir, make my students go through tough, tiring work, yet not as risky, while some other Knights send their Squires to do deadly tasks. Now, you're not adventurous, but sociable, no? Then I also suggest working as a bartender under Lady Olenna’s Petran Patriot! The best place within the east to get a fancy meal, the best drinks and also the calmest, most romantic dates too. Now, I leave the best to the last, which.. Of course.. not me being biased. You should work within the clinic, or become a scholar under the Scholar’s Guild which is led by yours truly. You get the chance to save people’s lives, learn lots of new, useful things, or even research a useful potion that will make your name written down in history forever. We hope to see you soon in Petra! Written By, Ser Emir “The Irrepressible” of Abbassia Patriarch of House d’Abbassia Surgeon-General of the Commonwealth of the Petra The Scholar Master of the Scholars Guild Supervised Under, Dame Catherine “The Phoenix” of Furnestock Privy Seal of the Commonwealth of the Petra Princess Imperial of the Holy Orenian Empire Duchess of Furnestock
  16. Ser Emir hums as he scruffs his beard while reading the guide of the game. "Seems like the boys and I will have restless nights playing that other than the old-fashioned chess" He said while he was clearly excited to try it out.
  17. A certain redhead frowned as he held the invitations while visiting balian "Wow... Imagine not inviting the person who set the future weds up! Rude..." Emir muttered before crumbling the missive up and feeding it to his Olog friend, Mazu @Jihnyny
  18. Ser Emir smiled as he finally realised that he wouldnt go to battle against his brother before turning back to his duties "Seems battlefield wound training will come another time, boys!"
  19. By the love of god, make it in the next map that the two biggest nations are always either non-allied or enemies, and make it that every coliation has balanced powers or at least two nations together maximum. The amount of misbalancing that's happened in wars, for example the civil war in Oren or the EATO war was so unfair; Not to mention, please make it in the next map that tiles and nations get more balanced. Some tiles are left untouched due to it being near the CT. Make it that everything is equally far off.
  20. It doesnt make any sense to work on Azdrazis, I only mentioned it worked on Vampires just so people do not use the potion to meta the fact they are spooks. I was told by the lore team that anything that probably gives out that fact would pretty much reach to a denial as people would abuse that triat
  21. For the color utilization part, originally I thought of using some chemical such as the ones that are usually used by chemists irl, however I felt like these things were quite modern to be used, so I thought maybe the benedict test that tests protien could be also something, but I thought originally in the lore that it doesnt make sense since we dont know about their existence yet so I may have decided that those symbols along with the vinegar may give the indication itself. However, I do 100% agree with you that saturation may be a better indicator, which if this lore gets denied, which is a high chance and that if I can edit / repost it I might do that. For the Aether, I felt like it made more sense mostly due to the genus properties, which has magic properties and uses energy, mainly by blood mages so I felt like that was the one which made most sense to me. I understand many people would meta about it alot, and I also felt like that might be an issue in the future, thus if this gets denied once more, Ill make sure to cap that to Grandparents and first cousins maximum. For the blood extraction I feel like there is a method that can be used safely without risking someone, however it wouldnt be as developed. Other than that, I'm glad you loved the lore and I thank you for your feedback honestly, as for the modern part, none of us are sure and its up to the ST for it to decide if it makes sense or not as alchemy works mostly with signs and sometimes we have things in the lore that in the real world is still not developed for, for example getting a new eye transplant using Animii or Flesh Alchemy I did feel the metagaming part, just like my reply to Maple that it wouldve been a huge issue, thus this was one of my many reasons that I wouldnt let the potion quite open for public, just to prevent metagamers or salty people who cant get over the fact their spouse cheated on them and got a child from the affairs. If allowed, I may edit the lore and work on it more to focus on the 'soul' section and perhaps add more redlines to balance things out. As for the alchemy part and development, I tried to make it seem as 'classic' as I could and yet not make it seem as if its a crazy invention, however if you think deeply to it, currently there has no medicine which replaces organs perfectly such as animii, or eye transplants and what not, so alchemy pretty much lore wise can be a mix however I understand your point in regards of the sense of lore which is why I feel like the lore addition might be denied, along if it contradicts the existing lore of 'genetics being related to the soul-wise'. I also thank you for the feedback by the way, as its very much appreciated.
  22. Feel free to do whatever you love, my friend. Looking forward to see it :D
  23. Thanks, I didnt notice that typo. It was meant to be one narrative day <3
  24. To all my homies, I will promise you all that if gets accepted, Ill make an event every month in each nation called "The Emir Show" Featuring the biggest scandals
