I am so glad I got to work with you all! It turned out AMAZING 🤩 -
Alla pursed her lips, head leaning against the ominous pile of luggage that often accompanied her now. She with her legs crossed on the random curb she'd chosen to call home that day, skimming the imitation with dull eyes, "I... Sure, I could go for some tea. Lake water and alcohol's been getting quite stale these past few years."

The Psychology of Roleplay: Where Does Our Mind Draw the Line?
cornsoda replied to Calise11's topic in Miscellany
I used to (and I'm still arguably reeling back from this) have EXTREME OOC anxiety when it involved LOTC. I was scared of even replying to simple jokes or making them in the ooc chats. For a lot of my characters life, I just observed things happening around me and reacted to them. This bled into my characters canon personality to make up for it, and she turned into a shy archetype I wasn't very proud of for a while (never beating the fluttershy allegations). But as I've grown here, it's gotten me more attached to her. The more comfortable I start to feel on the server, the more assertive/outgoing she becomes. I'm glad we've been able to grow together in a way. I've rped for a while before this, I have over 50 original characters that I use with my friends in dms and servers and I've delved a bit into the Roblox rp scene (you can laugh at me I know), I think the whiplash of being so attached and involved with one persona and the whiplash of this server and its MANY mechanics may have caused my demeanor, but who really knows? I'm honestly just glad I'm getting over it and finding my footing here. I admit I've also felt slight OOC anger at points, but what usually keeps me on the right track is focusing on my goals for my character, how certain events can advance her story, etc. Usually lotc-driven anger at its worst for me can be driven away by this or just little breaks/OOC stuff. So in conclusion, LOTC has actually had a pretty interesting affect on my psychology. I can't say it was ALL good, but it made me learn things about my mind that this post has brought me back to, so I thank you for giving me a chance to think on it more Calise! :D- 30 replies

I only remember speaking with pebbles a few times a while ago, but I'm heartbroken I never got to know her while she was around. Rest in peace, kind soul ❤️

The First (Last) Port of the Cormath’s Knoxoween Masquerade! How better to celebrate this season of mystery and frights than with a night of masked dancing? Seize your chance to be whisked away by a bedazzled unknown suitor under the stars, or maybe just a new friend! Or perhaps…your new worst enemy? Join us wearing your very best, but keep that face hidden! Preferably something you can run in if the creatures of the night also decide to pay a visit… FEATURING: An extravagant costume contest that will take place at 7:00. The (formerly?) peaceful 'ame paced her tiny living room in a fury, gripping the missive with one hand, another seemingly digging into her own temple as she ranted, "And -and what customs 'deemed agreeable' have they in mind? Do they wish to turn us all into canonists? Are they so simple minded, that they could not think to put out a proper missive before giving into their instinct to conquer those they 'deem' inferior by their own holy will? Ullran!". Allamanda sunk into her couch, out of breath as she fought the remaining wisps of her outburst in order to clear her mind. "...I will not stand for this nonsense", She exhaled in the quiet of the empty room, her voice strained and weary. It was definitely a promise, but whether she was ready to fulfil it... she couldn't pretend that wasn't a pressing question. - On account of being 9 years old, Svetlana did not care for the missive. She opted to use it to dry the blood of a dead squirrel, one she had come across on a road somewhere north.

Ok if ST doesn't accept this I'll be >:(

Allamanda studied the invitation in her...study, her 'ker roomate sleeping soundly below, tired from a day of doing arguably nothing. "A canonist wedding, is that right? I've always wanted to see one.", She muttered to herself, turning away from her desk to shout at the other elf downstairs, "T'sarra! I've something to ask of you..."

[✓] [Creature Lore] – Loch Dúin Leeches
cornsoda replied to riorr's topic in Non-Playable Creatures/Event Creatures
Well, to leech their own! I'd still like to see this implemented I think it'd be very funny, also really love the little folk song you wrote! :D -
The elfess studied the poster with one hand, the other gripping the reigns of her steed, "...We? Gosh, I do hope no one is disappointed when they find out I'm one person." She scoffed and tucked it back into her satchel, rearing her mount and riding off to spread the word.

The Last Port of the Cormath’s BARD COLLEGE Will be holding an Opening Ceremony to commemorate its founding. We hope to celebrate bringing a legacy of Bardmancy and the Arts to our humble (for now) port for decades to come, as well as a place of recreation and culture. ~ The event will open with a speech from the founder, and we will have a talent show later in the evening. Be prepared for a night of class, art and casual fun! The event will take place on Saturday, late afternoon. It’s inside the first building you’ll see when you arrive in Cormath (Crew’s Quarters 1), we are located off the coast of Vortice! PLEASE CONSIDER BRINGING AND DONATING ANY BOOKS OR SUPPLIES YOU ARE ABLE TO! WE ARE V̶E̶R̶Y̶ A BIT UNDERSTOCKED AT THE MOMENT :) (Send a bird to Allamanda Braeren for ANY of your questions or concerns) Signed, Dean Allamanda

If this isn't made into lore I will be very :( (Seriously though-Bardmancy is too cool and too fun of a magic to not be expanded upon more! Please please pleaseeeee ST!!)

Good question! I'd really like to get Allamanda's amphitheater done when I get back from Georgia so I can stay busy running the Cormath bard college branch. It'd probably bring some more people to the Port, and provide a consistent stream of events for it

This is a little sad on my end but when I attended the first bardmancy lesson and everyone was being kind and trying to interact with my persona :D They understood LOTC and massive public rps were a hard thing to get used to and treated me with a lot more patience than I could even imagine. I also admired how immersed and dedicated people are to roleplay here, I don't think I can fully wrap my head around it even now lmao. Everyone's always so eager to talk about their personas or get the first emote in, it's a really fun environment to be around
-
1. My favorite persona interaction (from you obviiii) is probably Terrivau because I think her and Alla's friendship is pretty cute! Your personas overall are always pretty fun to even just watch :D 2. Gonna just hit two birds with one stone here; the most enjoyable event that impacted my persona the most has probably got to be the Opening of the Cormath! It was my first experience as an event planner, helped me get to know a bunch of different people from the port and was even the most bustling place on the server at the time :D Overall a great start to my journey here
-
Happy One Year! I am thankful for every single person I have rped and interacted with on LOTC, and the many more to come! I originally applied to this server, thinking that I'd leave in a week or two, since my experience with these kinds of things haven't usually gone very well :( I instead found a wonderful community of artists and writers just as (if not more) enthusiastic about RP as I am :D Thank you most of all to the bardmancy community who welcomed me into the server with open arms. I am truly grateful for every single one of you, and I hope to be able to contribute more to it in the coming months. I'd also like to thank and again congratulate everyone at The Last Port of the Cormath. It's been an honor watching this build and community grow, and I hope to do great things with you all from here on out. You all know the drill by now; ask me anything about LOTC or my persona that you'd like to know! I just ask that you don't get too personal :) I hope to make many more stories with you all! - Sincerely, Cornsoda (Allamanda Braeren) (Also Norland rocks too you guys are the best <3)

When the elfess returned to her house in Cormath, she immediately dropped her satchel near the doorway, headed towards her bedroom. Once she was there, she allowed herself to slump into her seat, burying her head into her hands. Alla spent a good five minutes just sitting there, grieving the loss of her first real home. She finally worked up the gall to say something, anything. "Father help us all..."

You are invited to… THE LAST PORT OF THE CORMATH’S BAR BRAWL You read that right; our humble port will be hosting a FIGHTING TOURNAMENT in the TAVERN to determine who, among all of Aevos, is worthy enough to wield the title of CHAMPION and OWNER of a special, handcrafted blade (and a Figura Model made by Athonir). DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? Fill out the application below so we can add you to our list of challengers! [MAX 10] (Application:https://forms.gle/Cn1vrNiSEPchgnhD6) (March 22nd, at (5:30) EST. Directions in Vortice shown below)

cornsoda replied to UniBearse's topic in Ask Me Anything
Cg on one year!!! Why do you like elves so much? :D -
The white haired elfess stepped back from her masterpiece, grinning wide and mustering as much excitement as she could on 2 hours of sleep. She couldn’t admire it very well, since it was the dead of night, but she still felt inclined to say something. “Still unsure if I’m supposed to call it ‘The Last Port’ or ‘The Port’.”
