  2. aelwen tavern night tonight come say hi come be festive

  3. Purpose: The current lycan lore has "...it is not meant to be a combat CA, but a cool roleplay flare to add onto your story." at the end of this, and I feel like as a result of that, it was written to be severely underpowered. Almost no fights are winnable while transformed, and while I get that fights shouldn't just be done to win, it gets tiring to have a guaranteed loss. It's not fun to only lose, the same as it's not fun to only win. This is a minor buff, in hopes of making it ever-so slightly more fun to play a lycan, and to engage with the mechanics of it. Changes are bold and italicized. VIEWETH THE AMMENDMENT: All that is changed is that they are granted orc strength when transformed, and they move 12 blocks on four legs. (as is standard for other mounts)
  4. One of Moira's dedicated hypebeasts cheers with the posting of this missive, and with the coming of a tavern night. Huzzah!

Issue stems from ST reliance on the forums as grounds for these things rather than a centralized framework (the wiki which is fully ignored)

Fully agreed. Imagine not being deep on discord, then you do a little player event only for people to spamm 'BEARS ARE DEAD WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!' or similiar. The DIY event guide from ST even has bears on it still.

  7. unneeded imo, since theres no redline about that with their current reactions
  8. You read the title. Purpose: I think it would be interesting for characters cursed with Lycanthropy to have another option to try and cope with their condition, in the form of hard drugs and alcohol. This will still primarily have negative effects on a character, and would be an unhealthy method of relieving stress. Pasted text includes only relevant bits from the "PHYSICALITY & MECHANICS - DESCENDANT FORM" section of the CA. Changes are bold and italicized, strikethrough is removed.
  9. Are self-teach tomes still allowed to be used for learning? Such as the alchemy self-teach books, or the Bardmancy ones.

  11. Nareau cannot help but frown at one part of this little missive. "Come on man. Keep the racism out of your bounties..."
  12. i get why it has to be done with pvp, but this has always been my issue as well. it doesn’t make sense that a nation might have powerful magic wielders, and would just be blocked out of using them since there’s no way for that to be done in pvp. it should be significantly harder for a nation with no magic and no extraordinary means of assault to conquer places with all of those things, but it’s just not. it’s unrealistic, and i’ve never been able to wrap my head around how it’s fair
  13. Grieving is an act reserved for those that are dead, and by Nareau’s own words, Khel’rost was not dead. She knew he would return. It was the first thing that crossed her mind once she learned that his 'mortal' life had ended. …But, wasn’t it taking an awfully long time for that to happen? Shouldn’t someone like Khel’rost be top priority, brought back at the first moment? Why was he still absent? He would not remain dead, she knew this, and yet she couldn’t help but worry. That's the extent of her thoughts on him.
  14. i get this in a sense, but everything in its current state is very convoluted and hard to understand if you Are a new player that doesnt know the server. im talking about this in a call with some people right now, and theyve all agreed that navigating the forums was difficult before they truly played on the server. plus the wording leaves room for confusion like this, since new players may find themselves thinking that they do have to be part of a nation
  15. im not a huge fan of this change, personally. when i was joining, the sheer amount of info that could be found on the forums was both overwhelming and mildly confusing, since several pages were outdated. imo its best for people to have the Option to be part of an existing realm, rather than being required to be part of it. plus some nations try and have requirements for joining them, and newly joining players might not be aware of this
  16. does anyone even really like the current lycan CA

As a CA it should be reasonably stronger for what it is, atm it purely serves as some form of power enhancement for semi-John Mundane Chars who dont want to do any magic or alchemy to make themselves slightly better in CRP [even tho none of its boons are entirely too great]. For general Larp it also kind of sucks in that there cant really be a culture built around it due to its Redlines. I would strongly advocate in the future that something like an st eventline can change it for the better, whether it be making them genuinely stronger or lessening the effects of the curse so a culture can be built about it, or both. It does have an unfathomable potential however in being a "big bad" of a community and making some fun events, but once that ends. . . it ends.

I actively play a Lycan, I can't say it's bad, but I wouldn't mind if it were better.

    4. Random

      Random

I wanted to add that in my view it’s a bit of a noob jump CA. The only truly viable targets if you’re on your own (which you should be if you play it correctly imo) are noobs and unarmoured slice of life rpers. As soon as you fight someone competent in armour it’s gg, especially as a human

  17. why is badger so low but skinny pete is so high
  18. Much like the boy, the Dog that caught wind of the news cannot be sure of it. What makes it different from last time? What stops the King from crawling his way back up from the depths? She can't know, not with absolute certainty at least, and the doubt will follow her until her own death.
  19. anyone with a juliet's potion can use it. it doesn't have to be a tawkinist many examples here involve finding a specific thing, and then killing the character. not the same. they're limited to a single dodge per CRP encounter also just untrue. theres a decent amount that are just normal slander all you want, but at least get the facts right
  20. Can an explanation be provided for why those people were removed, and who specifically was removed? There's an extreme lack of transparency here.
  21. seems pretty expensive to have lunarite involved, especially considering it only works pre Curse II
