Seeing as it's riddle time, answer me this: You have 12 bricks. One is a slightly different weight than the other 11 which are exsctly the same. You can only use the scale 3 times. How do you figure out which brick it is?
Ohh now I understand what you were saying Averroa. You don't know whether the brick was lighter or heavier so you don't know which pile to take from. Problem is if the second weigh balanced, how do you find the brick from the final pile of 6?
