⚔ A Blue Dawn: The Horde Awakens ⚔
The Horde of Dunamis stood proudly within the courtyard. With stern eyes, they continued to stare toward Danis in anticipation, disciplined and determined. The Orenian archers rained hell upon the fort, blocking out the rays of the sun with their barrage of arrows. Danis Revlis rode back and forth upon his steed, inspecting the rows of men as they stood at the ready, eager to execute his command. His eyes lingered up towards the shouting marksmen atop the battlements as they held off the Orenian forces. A man hastily began barking news into the flag bearer’s ear before departing back down from the battlements. The bearer peered down to Danis who met his gaze with a firm nod. The banner of Dunamis hoisted itself high at the hands of the bearer, and such was echoed throughout the stationed bannermen throughout the keep. Words began to escape the anxious lips of Danis Revlis, “To glory or to death my brothers! We are unbent, we are unbroken! Let us show these Orenians the fear that they had lost long ago!” The men began to echo his words throughout the battlefield. His hand beckoned forth towards the gatekeeper, and in several moments it was hoisted up. The horses commenced their charge, breaking through the area that formerly held the portcullis. With fearful eyes, the Orenians turned from their station and began their retreat back to their encampment.
The speed of their steeds picked up, trailing behind the fleeing Orenians. The banner of the cowardly House of d’Amaury flew before their eye’s in retreat. Danis sped up slightly, holding grasp of his unsheathed sword, he flicked his wrist. The rope was split, and the banner descended to the ground, trampled into the mud under their horses. Danis took a moment to let the bearer gain some distance before approaching and slashing his sword at the man’s neck, decapitating him. Danis smirked momentarily as he gazed around to see the retreating force being massacred by their charge, “And so was the fate of House d’Amaury”, an arrogant chuckle escaped his tongue. Peering forward, Danis’ eyes followed a trail of feces on the ground, he thought for a moment, “I guess this wasn’t the only mess they had to take care of.”, he shrugged slightly with a chuckle, “I didn’t know I scared Augustus that bad, that ******* damned *****.” As they reached the top of the hill they witnessed the Orcs on the other side as was planned, the Orenians were vulnerable. Danis screamed forth as the charge continued its path of destruction upon the Empire’s men, “You have to slaughter a few pigs to make a sandwich!” In a whirlpool of chaos, the Orcs and Dunamis met, laying pillage to the men caught in the middle; and in one swift charge, the Empire’s war campaign fell to a company of mercenaries.
The victors piled up the bodies and carted them back to the keep. The banners of House d’Amaury slapped against the mud as they were dragged along, nailed to the sides of the cart. Danis and his men began unpiling the men and piking them individually atop the walls of the Dunamis fort. They withdrew the banners from the cart and set them into a pile in the courtyard, lighting flame to them. Danis steps forth, planting himself atop a rock in the courtyard, “The ‘Arch-Duke’ of Lorraine has made a grave mistake by bringing his men to our doorstep. They were so blinded by pride to think that they could defeat us in our own home, let alone destroy us for good. Their banners are disgusting, a mere reflection of the abomination of a man that sits on the Ducal seat in Lorraine. I declare now, the cowardice and incompetence of Augustus d’Amaury. **** him, that filthy swine. He will burn alongside every man that remains loyal to him. We shall torch Lorraine to the ground; this is not a threat, this is a promise. Summerhall shall feel the scorched sun of the southern summer.”

A package arrives in Summerhall, brought forth by the hands of a bloodied man of the Honorguard, within the package lay a white banner with a note attached to it:
“You’ll be needing this; might come in handy. -Dunamis”
Danis would say under his breath before taking his leave. “Oh yeah, my grandmother wants her name back. Thanks.”
Take note that Daeron, Danis and Ubba have created this ruse in the battle mostly Daeron’s idea. -Marshal of the Dunamian mercenary company, Danis Revlis.
