  1. Something needs to be thrown into the whole roleplay guards give villains. It just seems... stale. You expect everything that's going to happen, and 90% it ends with death/mutilation. Villains make it so they get caught, it seems odd to just get killed or mutilated for the other party's enjoyment. Opinions?

      I believe you have a valid argument, well, yes and no, depending on the crime it makes sense for death. But consider, if you steal a piece of bread, you probably shouldent be killed, even though in the time this is set that is punishable by death, I think its overboard and makes the whole guard-villan situation monotonous...

      One time, my character Nemantius, while still a Grand Councilor of Alras, was pestered by a minor assault (thrown pebbles and sand) by a citizen. I figured I'd make things interesting, so rather than having him jailed or beheaded, I had him drafted by the Alrasian Army, to allow him a chance to "regain his honor". Try something like that, perhaps!
