  2. Goblins should be the lean ones. They are still strong, even if they are goblins. People can play half-breeds and mixed breeds if they wish to be the sleek, thinner orc IMO.
  3. Uruk Gobbo Orog My vote for the three. Have Orog's native to 3.0? I like Lago's definition of them, they are much like golems but sentient and smarter (but not by much).
  4. As shown, the Olog-Hai has absolutly no possibility of doing complicated or intellegent moves, such as waiting for the Human to attack first. IT simply has one purpose: Kill the damn thing. It's going to try and attack it until it died, or until the Olog-Hai does. There'd be no stratagey, just brute, sluggish, stupid force. I feel if we only allowed Olog-Hai to do siege-damage, it'd kinda screw them over. I don't think you understand what I meant. An Olog isn't patient enough to learn the finer aspects of fighting. They don't parry or counter attack, they just swing dumbly and hit hard, but not intelligently. Thus, a regular Orc can often best a dumb Olog, unless the Orc's legs are impaired and the Orc loses its ability to move and dodge. It's a toss-up, depending on the terrain and enviroment but in general, Olog's have a disadvantage because the brute strength begins to have diminishing results and the lack of brain development doesn't help either.
  5. Technically they is already ogre and troll lore. They don't have the name Ogre or troll, but its essentially it. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/69895-groupmonster-the-huuneteklat-ogre-and-troll-lore-updated-with-new-names/page__pid__612529__st__80#entry612529 I would prefer Ogre, since they'd be dumb brutes who are the best resource gatherers (not intelligent enough for the finer art of fighting, hence why Orcs are the best fighters and goblins the best thinkers). They'd also be great in war for moving siege machines and heavy labor.
  6. lol those are some horrible statistics austin. That means 4.3% of players overall are whitewash. It's actually roughly 40% of orcs are whitewash players.
  7. This precedent was already set with the Mori and the Kha. I'm not sure why your bothering to argue now. I'm fine with whitewashes as long as they aren't green humans. If they have a decent backstory or RP reason to be living with humans, that's fine with me. Just don't ignore the fact you are cursed with a sensation which drives you to kill constantly or suffer extreme violent withdrawal. So, whitewashes that do RP a proper Orc should be fine in just explaining themselves. It helps everyone out in the long run and you avoid crappy re-skinned humans.

  9. *Savage giggles much to Tom's chagrin at the Pontiff's peculiar offer. He quickly motions Tom to respond with a message on the poster* 500 mina is the top offer; can anyone best it by tonight? (Past 7-8 pm est)
  10. *Savage snickers wildly after performing a succesful abduction of the Archbishop Jedidiah Silverblade's appendix. Stealing it with the aid of Tom, he rushes to hastily scrawl up a sign. With the help of Tom's literacy, Savage hoists up a few signs scattered throughout Oren and the Cloud Temple.* *A vivid picture of an appendix and its location on the body compared to other guts appears on the poster (ignore the labeling, RPly we do not know it is an appendix, just a simple stomach organ)* His Holiness' bodily spheres! The guts of the holy Archbishop Jedidiah will help restore vitality! Blessed by the Creator himself, these organs will help you receive the same blessings which his holiness is given! Consumpation will bring three years of blessed fortune and combat prowess! Storing it as a lucky charm will keep God's light upon you at all time; you'll never be lost or find childbirth a pain! This gut is used to filter all humanly qualities of our powerful religious leaders, thus being a divine tissue handmade by the Creator! And who doesn't love some royal holy guts! Simply scrawl your chosen name or location and price on the boards! Highest bidder wins the prized meat of the Aenguls themselves! *Savage eyes the appendix, wondering if Tom's lies are true. He wonders if he should keep it; but decides to go on with spreading the posters about*

  13. NO ONE MAN SHOULD HAVE ALL THIS POWER

  14. Goblins are able to mate with Orcs; both are technically the same "race" of Uruk and thus halfbreeds can be born like Brevias. Lago, your viewpoint is essentially true with the lore we work with now. However, even the original half-orc will have -some- distinguishing characteristic of being a half-breed. Some may be very subtle, like Goldrim who essentially looks exactly like a regular Orc, but other Orcs may have distinguishing characteristics, like elven ears, a more pretty human face, or reduced stature.
  15. "Orc + Elf = Goblin" Mogroka confirmed this bogus a while back...Goblins come from a son of Krug, not a mix of orc and elf. fail austin Orc + Orc = Orc Orc + Elf = Sneaky thinner Orc, more agile Orc + Dwarf = Jacked midget Orc Orc + Human = Smaller Orc in general who has super breeding powers
  16. ( Isn't that against the rules to raid with 5+? Or even raid a capital at all with warclaims down? And I thought you can't PvP without consent now. Not saying to push bans but it does sound pretty unfair, I remember when coaster tried to save Throdo from Malinor and tried to do it nonviolently with 8 people and got in big trouble for it.)
  17. Just think of it like gender-bending; some people are incredibly uncomfortable with that and cannot RP relationships with those who are guys IRL and RP girls (or vice versa), even if the male IRL has no desire for an OOC relationship with another male. When you have an entire race with a connotation to a particular sub-culture, in this case, "furries", well rumors can grow and people grow uncomfortable and wish a race away. If the Kha were a bit more accessible/moderate and well, to be frank, unique, perhaps people could move past that prejudice, but its hard to do so currently.
  18. I feel like this post may come off as more prejudiced as my prior, but its something that the Kha may want to note; many people may just be generally uncomfortable with the idea of furries and RP based on these types of characters. Sure it is bigoted, but I think on some level it can be overcome if the Kha stand out with better more reformed lore. If they appear much more sympathizing with more moderate lore (as I referenced prior, housecats versus over the top feral cats) then they may be more accepted and more engaged. I was always interested in the Kharajyr in being a race of trade and sly dealings; one that's not withheld by honor like many others and often find themselves as mercenaries with ritualistic beliefs, but I doubt that is even playable given the binding restrictions + current extreme lore for both Kha (xenophobic crazies) and Ape Kha (timid and playful).
  19. I think that rather than spread RP, the Kha has a tendency to polarize things OOCly. If you are a Kharajyr, you HAVE to be a part of the Kharajyr nation. You have to fill out an application which states you will be forced to live with the nation and follow much of its whims. This is a big turn off for me; it really forces players into a narrow, isolationist viewpoint when it comes to the Kha, making them into a small group which harbors a lot of elitism. I've never seen this much heated tension between races or factions, and one cannot solely pin it on the non-Kha in this case. Even with Orcs, whitewashes are still allowed to be RP'd, its just they are most often dealt RPly by being hunted down. I'd like to see the Kha forge a separate identity which isn't so isolationist and especially is more unique. Honestly, I understand Kha players champion their lore as the holy grail of player designed content, but imo it is not that great. It's a mixing of races ideologies and there's little to make it unique. This, to me, was only apparent when I tried a Kha and got bored incredibly fast. There is many tropes and roles which a race could fill in Asulon that would be unique, but the Kha seem to miss them and go for differing ideologies which really bring the race down ICly and OOCly and make it hard to enjoy RPing as or RPing with them.
  20. An evocationist learning from an elementalist wouldn't make much sense at all, given each respectively summon their powers from completely different sources. Evoking electricty, or any magics requires drawing from the Void, while using the elements involves simply using the elements present in the natural world. An elementalist could teach someone how to summon thunder from the clouds above, but he could not teach how to "evoke" or take it from the void. Furthermore most elementalist shamans wouldn't teach high elves and such how to conjure thunder and lightening.

  22. Soulstone pillars help concentrate RP amongst areas of soulstone pillars, such as cities. So I like the idea and would go with unlimited.
