  1. 9/10 You've slowed down your posting hence I docked a point. :P
  2. I was banned for a while, I will make an RP returning post. It's a big split between the ideas; be sure to comment to get your ideas heard. I like the mix since it doesn't take away from the Orcish spirit but keeps the idea of a "city", and it would make RP sense that we would conquer and reside in a broken city. I personally don't like RPing in a warground. While it works for essentially an Orcish "town" or outpost, it doesn't really RPly work as a full-fledged city, imo.
  3. Orcs, Regarding our city and nation in 3.0, how exactly do you guys want to design the city? Judging by the prior discussion, there's two big builds which people seem to be focused in. http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/vergiax---ork-warbase-a-creative-node-project/ - The very traditional war-base of the Orcs. It's not really a true city as much as it is a giant war-ground, but it fits the traditional axe-crazy Orcish nature. This is what we've seen with Strigzgoi essentially. http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/al-hareeq-the-sinking-city-with-download-and-video/ - This is a far more radical style for Orcs which is much more tempered (oxymoron?). It's far more akin to an actual "city", even though Orcs always have had the concept of being far too bloodlusted to create a city akin to this. However, it does work really well with 3.0 and our resource boon of Gold and coal, essentially promoting trade and bartering among the Orcish people and the inhabitation of non-orc traders and warriors to protect our interests. The idea reminds me of Sanhar. Please comment and vote between the two, or if you have your own ideas for the city, give your idea. It's important to plan prior building in order to not waste time and create a better city than ever before. I'm ambivalent between both types of city; I think either can be utilized to intepret Orcish culture. My personal idea is one which I share with some of my builder friends in that we should have the city be more like the 2nd, Arabic city of trade. The city was one which was ruined after years of neglect and abandonment, and the Orcs come in finding the city and inhabiting it, even acknowledging some parts of their culture and become a bit more moderate (so we can have other RP besides raiding, pillaging, and shamanism :P). They take the derelict arabic-esque city, which is most built by the seaport, and inject their own Orcish architecture in certain areas, mingling both. The more trade based areas and prosperous areas are more like the old culture and the newer additions to the city are more Orcish. I think our old cities haven't really been cities as much as wargrounds; to have better RP we may need to actual create cities over warcamps designed for raiding. Also, comment so we can get your opinions as well as your vote. Trying to keep this thread for Orc RPers because this city is for the Orcs. Keep track of this thread; I'll be adding different questions and proposing different ideas for the city.
  4. Nations can fight over these outposts or trade/lend them out. The concept is resource limitation while also giving each nation regions which work with their race. It also helps clean up war by permitting multi-battle campaigns over outposts instead of one battle on a city. There could also be outposts run by monks or in the wilds for guilds or independent factions and people to utilize.
  5. Change: Adding "outposts" into 3.0; in essence they are conquerable resource generator facilities. Reason behind the Change: This is a combination of racial resources and resource permits. Essentially, a way to moderate war and resources is by having them set up in outposts. There would exist a multitude of outposts; perhaps built by natives of 3.0 or by monks. They are littered around each racial capital, however, more of a specfic type of outpost would be near what a nation is used to creating. For example, the Orcs may have 1-2 mining outposts near them, but dwarves would have 4-6. Elves would have spider infested forests surrondeing them which double as bow making and lumber creating outposts, while the Orcs would be largely starved out of wood aside from a few oasis. These outposts can be fought over and conquered much like a town. The orcs could go out and conquer a dwarven mining outpost, and mine it out quickly before the dwarves can reclaim it, rendering the mine null until it regeneratess (these outposts would most likely be made using multiverse). These outposts are essentially the only place for people to gather a large amount of resources The idea is these outposts direct war away from cities and places where people don't want to fight (losing their homes and such), create fun skirmishes over outposts for players who do wish to fight, and generating an economy by having limited resources which are either traded or fought over for.
  6. Was Rex, but got banned. Have been banned for 1-2 weeks at this point hence my inactivity.

  9. ( This is asking for his evil better twin brother to make an appearance. :D )
  10. Made this post on the 3.0 dump thread, but I hope some of it can be implemented in 3.0! Cool update as always, the lore behind what is to come seems engaging and interesting.
  11. I saw the layout post for 3.0, and had a few suggestions. 1) I hope for more integrated mixed nations, perhaps some lore that has much more traders living in other nations or even possibly multi-racial nations. I see too many one-race cities, when even IRL cities are a melting pot for people of all races to congregate. It creates great civil conflict when multiple races are cramped into one land under one banner, and I find it more interesting. 2) I believe Cloud Temple should NOT be in the center of the map; that is why this map has so much crime and incidents occuring in the temple. Keep the temple like in Aegis where it is not in the center of the realm. Because the Asulon temple was in the center, it became somewhat of a highway for travelers to go through, and ended up being a great spot for conflict RP. But it is a temple, so keep it off to the side and rather have a "King's Road" esque path for trouble to come. 3) I ask that if possible some of the cities be prebuilt, so it provides an excellent quality RP atmosphere through great builds, over the haphazard, dull, boring builds which occur when players have to make their own buildings (they often rush the projects, so they have buildings to RP in). For RP purposes though, these cities should be somewhat derelict and damaged, so players have things to do such as to repair buildings and fix workshops. 4) I think working more on landscape/environment and less on dungeons would be great, dungeons have always been a thing for only a few players to participate in, while a landscape always cultivates great RP through the atmosphere, acts as a selling point to new players, and affects everyone.
  12. Upon hearing that statement, Gorgul expression turns to one of anger. He tempers himself for only a few moments for Sythra to hastily finish her address before barking to the council. "I had thoughts, thoughts that our word held weight. But the word of the ArmaLuna isle weigh nothing? This brings wrath and disappointment." "I do not see ArmaLuna being judged by those whose army hides in tree. I do not see ArmaLuna being judged by those who summons allies armed to the teeth and make war-speech, at the sight of royal guard. I do not see ArmaLuna being judged by those who base verdict among themselves when the citizens should have word." The Rex grumbles, angered and peeved. He finds himself disappointed he had come to the meeting and witnessed what he has seen. Moreover, he is surprised that the elves have acted such a way. The Orcish way would have been to annex the island and giving its denizens no final political say, but surely not the elves. But if the elves wished to act in the Orcish way, naturally the Rex would too.
  13. Gorgul's eyes bug wide as the elven allies refer to his guards as an army. He emits a boisterous laugh. "Ha! A skahun army...these are just to help in klomp. No army. You elf and one of island do not understand. This action was of great ignorance. It makes me think that you think us of blind war. You do not seem fit to rule such land with such action and belief. This is what I see.
  14. Gorgul grunts in concordance. Unlike his peers, he does not seem as offended or threatened by the spontaneous invasion of Holm forces unto Normandor. Rather he is intrigued, curious of what brought such a bold, reckless move to the talk of diplomacy. He was surprised moreso that a group of royal guards, from the War Uzg, Hightowers, and Silverblades would ignite such a wrathful emotional response from the isles of the Eastern sea. Turning to Kyral, he responds sharply: "My armies are eager for further war. Punishing these actions of hostility would be of no problem. The dwarves have done little. But I will let these elves have last words to change fates."
  15. Gorgul sighs. The high elf's long-winded superfluous diatribe had given him a headache. Why was he in this room conversing in such a prim, proper fashion? The chairs did not fit him let alone the tone of debate. Slumping his posture as he stands rigidly for hours, he emits a faint groan of boredom. As monotony sets in, fortunately for the Rex, a young runt of his own guard barges in the council chambers, with a pair of Sentinels chasing after him. The goblin wheezes as he makes a bizarre entrance and a faint smile creeps upon the solemn Orc's face. The goblin shrilly squeals out "Rex, rex, dey bringin weaponz agh makin speech about flattenin all deze bruddahz agh dah oomiez! Bring a whole sakahn army of globs agh mush-mush, workin wid dah elviez. Me tink dey am tryin to make klomp-klomp wid us." The sentinels snicker at the goblins shrill voice, an affect of damage to the small uruk's vocal chords. Gorgul raises his eyebrow, confused. Did these elves bring war? Are there "allies" brandishing blade to the doorstep of the debate? Gorgul takes the moment to lean forward smashing his fist into the goblin's frame, an action more signaling of a greeting than an act of wrath. The goblin squeaks in laughter, relishing the pain as Gorgul mutters through the council room "How pathetic. Three sets of royal guard, and an entire army is sent in response. Are these people to lead ArmaLuna, with this fuss and disgrace?" He turns to Arn, before resounding in a more louder tone "These people have taken your isle. They are hasty and reckless, you can witness it here. A joint-colony by Silverblade and I will not be as this. We will not be xenophobic, sending army after Orenians and Orcs. This is surely not peaceful, this is not how diplomacy is settled. Word and war mix too close." Gorgul then signals to the goblin to scurry out, the Sentinels scowling at his words.
  16. Gorgul chuckles at the sight of his firstborn making such a flashy appearance. Approaching him from the crowd around him, he leans forward, before tossing a wild punch to the uruk's face, roaring. "Take it eazeh, kub." He smiles, proud and surprised his first born has survived the wilds, his fears of his disappearance, death or turn to whitewashery alleviated. "Blah me about deze Jabbernaks...."
  17. Gorgul yawns as the scroll is being read out aloud. He mutters with haste "The Orcs are not mentioned. I did not come here for no reason." (voided)
  18. ( Do note Tommorow around 8 EST we will have a herd of Jabbernaks stop around the goi. Be ready at 7:30, it's much like the RP fight against the Wyvervyn)
  19. Gorgul grunts loudly. The compliment had confused him; she had went from an aggressive stance to one which had an utmost sympathy, respect, and feeling for. He knew that elves had always complaint and scorn for the Orcs, and the shifting demeanor of Syrtha's tone had disgruntled him. Was she of trickery, simply to appease? "I spoke my word. I stand with the House of Silverblade, I have not seen why this island remain not under a joint domain." He pauses for a moment, shifting his jaw to and fro to speak a language he was an alien to. "Why does the defense of an island...hide in trees? Strength hidden, this is just reckless. I am not of approval." Standing tall above his seated peers, Gorgul remarks. "I do not wish for Nicolas to speak for me. But his words are of this moment true. I have no reason to not consider him an ally. As for this ordeal, my mind is not shifted. But I will await for further word. And please stop calling me a gentle human. I am not human, nor gentle."
  20. Rex Gorgul eyes widen at Sythra's outburst. Expecting a total cakewalk, Gorgul is surprised. The forces alone have provided enough intimidation to scare most smaller settlements into submission and pathetic self-wallowing, but the elven High Princess had remain firm and strong in the sight of potential danger. He remembered Sythra from almost two decades ago, when he was but a youth dragged along to a diplomatic meeting, to speak common and mediate between the prior Rex Gromgok'Gorkil and Sythra's discussion over the potential assault on Haelunor. Gorgul was always curious of why Gromgok had offered a mating to Syrtha, a fragile little dark elf, but now he had some understanding. What she lacked in strength made up in speech. Finding a somewhat comfortable position in a chair designed for a petite elven frame, Gorgul pipes up in a lucid common. Common for the purpose of not only mutual understanding, but also out of respect that he is in another's court, one who is worthy of -some- respect, although not as much as one may like. "I am here, I am Rex Gorgul'Gorkil. I am with Nicolas in talk of annexation. This island would not be governed by Oren, but by joint rule of Silverblade and War Uzg." Gorgul says his words slowly, tantalizing and insuring his pronunciation is correct. He keeps his statements short and blunt. "I am to aid Nicolas in his vision. This vision is to have ArmaLuna further developed, and its people ruled under us so they may benefit from our systems. This is no Orenian..." Gorgul thinks to himself, quietly pondering why it is known as a "foothold" "-foothold. It will be a land designated for culture and prosperity. You talk of defense, but I have not seen a strong navy. This is why I am summoned, my men are strong, they can handle tropics of ArmaLuna, they have cannon and boat. I am here to insure defense and political stability." Gorgul exhales softly, reclining a bit breaking his posture. Growling at the chair, he decides to simply stand. He holds himself from further speech, awaiting word from Nicolas or the other humans in regards to the future of ArmaLuna.
  21. The Rex grumbles, sitting in an uncomfortably small chair in the Elven Council-room. He eyes the elves, letting them speak first before priming himself to an argument.
