  1. A young heiress began the task of packing away all her books into safe keeping. "So much uncertainty to come," she spoke to her slowly emptying room.
  2. Elianos was going to do his best to ensure he didn't miss a chance to party on the boat he had bought. It truly was a splendid boat. He had found a very skilled builder!
  3. "Damn," cursed the Balian Prince. "This looked as though it would have been entertaining."
  4. Elianos frantically collected together all his fancy outfits- seeking out the best one for the event. "I've so much to make and prepare," the young prince faffed as he sent attendants of the Palace here and there. Collecting flowers, beads- all sorts! "This has to be special for her."
  5. La mascarada del regal de l'oceà [20th April, 5pm EST] To this year but eighteen ago, Balian saw the arrival of its youngest Prince and Princess, Elianos and Ophelia. The youths have spent their years surrounded with the lush sands and vibrant seas of the south, and wish to extend a celebration to not only honor their home, but to usher in their adult years. A Masquerade - on the theme of sand and sea - is to be held within the Palace’s enclosed beach. Guests are encouraged to bring their finest sandals and lighter outfits, to ensure they are comfortable in the heat. Should guests not be able to provide their own masks for the ball, the twins have some ready to provide. Following the ball will be games; a paper boat race and a fishing contest, with prizes for the winners. Refreshments will be offered which feature the local fishermen's finest catches of the day, with drinks produced from Balians orchards and wineries. Attendees are welcome to wear the masks provided for the ball. Each mask has been lovingly recreated from inspired works throughout the ages. (Masks can be found on planetminecraft in their original versions. These are recreated based on examples.) Masks Here Guests should make their way to the Palace, where they will be led to the festivities. 6. Elianos had already had his horoscope debate with Santana some saints days ago. He had accepted his fate in the Hyspian stars.
  7. Cosi was far from thrilled about the prospect of another party she'd have to attend. It was time to find books that might help a young woman navigate social settings better.
  8. Elianos found himself thoroughly whacked by the letter. Entirely taken aback- he sought to lift Santana in the air- popping her into air jail. "You complain when I mention frogs, 'cause apparently, that isn't your only personality trait. Now this?" ... "Fine, shall we go to it?"
  9. "Once upon a time, you were a young boy fretting about growing up. It feels as though it was only last year." Cosima wrote to Charles in a letter, "I hope that the premise does not trouble you as much as it once did. Or at the very least, I hope you have found a shoulder to lean on and some one to turn to. You will do wonderfully."
  10. Elianos was prompt to send a letter to both girls, congratulating them on their upcoming debut. "Time to plan some suitable gifts," the young prince lamented quietly in his room. For a moment, silence lingered, and then he strode out into the halls. "Ophi- Ari," Elianos bellowed out to his sisters, "what gifts do ladies your age like?" @comatoseprincess@_yink_
  11. Travelling Book Club To share literature with one another is one of life’s most under appreciated pass-times. Be it a fantasy story, a book of still and learning, or your favorite picture book, I encourage you to bring it forward and share it with like-minded book lovers. The first iteration of the book club shall meet within Portoregne tavern. If all goes well, plans to venture to various other nations will be set in place. Bring your favorite book, and ready yourself for an evening of discussion and laughter. All are invited to join! Monday, 5PM EST - Balian Tavern
  12. Author's Corner A dream of my youth was to encourage budding authors to write, to create new literature for the people of Aevos to share and enjoy. Now, I am beginning to set that dream in motion. Author’s corner aims to purchase and sell written works from the people. Minae earned will vary depending on the quality of the written work as well as the edition, but a single mid length novel of original edition can earn the author upwards of twenty-five minae. Written works surrounding skills, or professions for example sewing, smithing, farming, are in high demand- and will earn the writer even more. These books will then be sold from the store itself. If plenty are sold, the original author will earn an additional commission. Currently, Author’s Corner operates from within Hyspia, a small store within the city center. Further locations will gradually appear within the next few saints years. If you wish to sell any written works forward, send a bird to Cosima Victoria Temesch, and a time to meet can be swiftly organized.
  13. Oh how Poppy was glad she was dead.
  14. Una nit a l'aigua [27th March, 5:30pm EST] This coming eve, the young Prince of Balian invites friends and allies to the Kingdom to enjoy festivities upon one of Portoregne’s many surrounding islands. Paddle boats will be provided for guests to take and use, to make their way to the island! The night will commence with a crab-catching contest. Participants will be given ten minutes to capture the largest crab they find upon the sand. Following this, the ‘bar’ will be opened for guests to enjoy at their leisure. Refreshments will be entirely free, at the Prince’s own expense. To conclude the evening, materials will be provided for guests to create a floating lantern. These lanterns will be released as the evening draws to a close. Guests are encouraged to make use of the paddle-boats anchored at the coasts, to release their lanterns out at sea. Any and all who are interested are welcome to attend the evening, though personal invites are sent to the following: Father Jan “Xander, Ophi and Ari” Crown Princess Santana Leya Ramona de Pelear Princess Kareena Isabel Nasrid Infanta Renata Alba Francisca de Pelear Infante Rafael Arsenico Diego de Pelear Lady Esfir Artemesia Amador Lady Lavanya Aruna Acharya Lord Marcel Vuiller Signed, His Royal Highness, Elianos Hadrian Novellen, Prince of Balian
  15. "Will you be attending, Ophie?" Elianos asked his sister @comatoseprincess, "if you are- maybe we should get her a gift. I know she likes boats."
  16. Cosima couldn't decide whether she should be upset, or glad that only her triplet was to be the main focus of the event. "He could have /at least/ mentioned that Renault's two siblings were also turning sixteen," the girl muttered to her desk.
  17. Elianos couldn't to see the exhibit! "You have worked hard, Princess," the prince offered in congratulations to Kareena, "I hope the people appreciate your efforts- surely, Balian will." - "Imma could not have picked a better keeper."
  18. Good banditing is where I lose items but I still had fun during the rp. Good banditing is when I had the option of fighting back or, wasn't forced into a "Halt" *puts sword to neck emote. Good banditing is being able to create RP for someone, and not just focus on getting loot.
  19. "There go my plans ah becomin' a Vampire, I guess," an entirely un-serious young woman spoke aloud from within the center of the tavern.
  20. A sinced passed Poppiya had been grateful to Amaya in her youth. Though the woman had never had chance to express such - in truth- Amaya had been the one to give her a positive focus. After the passing of her parents, during her wardship, even as she traversed the unfamiliar lands of courtship, Amaya had been there.
  21. ⋅ ───⊱༺☨༻⊰─── ⋅ ⋅ ───⊱༺☨༻⊰─── ⋅ “I can not bear it.” “Not again.” “Do not leave me, aedymamej.” “Come home, Anatoliy.” “Please do ne leave me.” “Why are you always injured?” Unravelled was the world of Poppiya. For countless years her expectations had dwindled. Once, she had dreamt of a simple adult life. Her plans to be wed to some lordling who would leave her be, allowed her to do as she pleased never came to be. Her plans to live in pious faith and modest comfort never truly came to pass. The spiral began with the passing of her parents, then to her courted partner and now to her aunt. Her beloved aunt. A woman who raised her, cared for her, and taught her the world. Her husband too, had oft been found injured in various clinics suffering with various injuries. But loss was not the only thing that derailed the womans life. She had suffered mentally after the birth of her first few children. Never truly recovering from the mental strain that came from childbirth, she sought to flee her life- to start afresh. She truly believed that her husband and her babies would flourish without her. Those years were both the best and the worst. She thrived during the warm fighting for her new nation and way of life. A houseboat on the canals of Balian, a career as head of courts and as a tailor. Life was grand, but it was empty. And then, he found her. While alchemy had changed some of her appearance, it was not enough to fool her husband. He had met with her- and all clicked into place. But there were demons she had created. Demons that she vowed to keep secret. Returning home was as she expected. Seeing her children, walking and talking made her happy. It filled that void she had created. But in its place, it brought shadows. Her husband was loving, her children sought their mother at every chance. But that secret could not be kept forever. In her guilt, those demons reared their head- and so her husband knew of it all. But he forgave her. Why did he forgive her? “He should be angry.” “I am disgusting.” “I am not worth the love he gives.” The first cut came one eve when Verskaya was silent. Her children had taken off with their nannies, her husband was elsewhere. A slice across flesh drew crimson, and she sobbed in pain. But with that pain came a sense of punishment. Atonement. Several more were drawn before she fled to the washroom, just in time before her husband returned home. Each argument, each guilty thought added a new mark across her forearm. Long sleeves on her dresses hid the markings from view, and subtle dismissals to her husband kept her secret at bay for a time. But then she showed him. An argument heated to boiling point. Screams and wails of anguish and sorrow turned to admissions, and Poppy displayed her hurt to her husband. He begged her to stop, to seek help and guidance. “I am ne worth it, Anatoliy.” “I do ne deserve you.” “I shouldn’t even be here.” “Leave me, and be with her.” But it continued on. Anatoliy’s pleas fell on deaf ears. Each time he did not come home from his work- she found the blade. Each time she watched her children flourish, that pang of guilt goaded her on. Every argument, every moment alone. Everything. The means of atonement grew. One a day- two a day. Until she came to a peak. She fought to have her husband cured of an ailment. He had been well again, and then back in the clinic. A string of nights of him not returning home- Poppy’s mind raced. And then her aunt died. Her lifeline to normality. Gone- just like that. She had witnessed it- she had shown her aunt a letter from her brother, and her aunt's heart gave out. Unable to help, unable to save her- Poppy returned home to Balian. The nights were hollow. She could not cry, could not sleep, could not leave her bed. Her children occupied themselves with their adventures, and her husband fought his war. Poppy remained in bed. Until she didn’t. After spending those nights alone, she eventually drew herself to her dressing room. She withdrew her papers- a will and letters written long ago. Poppy made sure to leave them on the bed. Her husband would find them there, at least. And then, she gathered a blade from the dresses, and sat herself down. Finally tears came. Haunted nights of dread and guilt, sadness and loneliness all finally gathered. Her faith abandoned long ago, there was no supernatural to offer her comfort. She drew the blade vertical. Along one arm, and then the other. Tears cascaded down her cheeks as the blade fell to the floor with a clang. Her head slumped against the dressing table, and her world began to fall to darkness. “Love them, Anatoliy.” “I am sorry.” “You deserve better.” “I love you.” ⋅ ───⊱༺☨༻⊰─── ⋅ Poppiya Sosina Godunov nee Amador. 134 SA - 172 SA https://poppiya.carrd.co/
