The ancient Great Sequoia shifts and rustles as the brilliant beam of light illuminates the distant, wildly overgrown grove, its roots intertwined with the ancient Great Ebony tree beside it. The vines dangling from the mighty tree's branches twitch and curl, and a great flock of pigeons and crows erupt from the canopy as they are disturbed, such a thing had not happened in centuries, the two enormous trees nigh dormant and still. But in this moment, it stirs, the branches slowly lower, and lower, the tree visibly drooping from how it had stood just moments before... ...and a loud CRACK echoing as the trunk of the tree opens, and the ent-like being within emerges, brilliantly glowing emerald eyes staring up past the canopy into the evening sun and raising both of her hands, tears of thick sap running down the vaguely feminine figure's face as from the entire grove around her, a melody rises up into the sky...one their mother had sung to them an age ago...one her sister had sung to her in the depths of her own hopelessness and despair so very long ago. The melody rises higher, carrying up where the figure could only hope it was heard now, as she sinks to her knees and begins to weep uncontrollably...speech far beyond her at this moment. ((I came to this server during Aegis, you followed me to it right as Asulon began, and we wove such an intricate and wonderful story together, the two surviving siblings carrying on in the world against all odds. In the end, we faced so many things together, IC and OOC, drama and bullshit aplenty, and while our RP paths diverged, the sisters' bonds remained strong, their love eternal if sometimes strained. I will miss her so much, even no longer participating here I still have a very few connections...this is the largest one that remained. Deco was doing it to a lot of people, Vardak included. He wasn't grooming anyone and the evidence proved that, which is why he got his permaban overturned, and why people like Tentoa and Space0faids got banned for continued harassment of him. Deco being despicable doesn't make those she duped responsible for her shit.

You got groomed by Decolamb, Vardak happened to have an attachment to Decolamb before learning of all the shit she was doing, and he dropped her hard when he did. He wasn't involved at all but you're so angry you don't give a damn about facts and just help propogate this bullshit that you've been banned for lying about in the past, you even admitted in one of your appeals that Vardak wasn't directly involved, but I'm sure now that you have the chance again you're conveniently forgetting to mention all of that. I've been in the thick of this mess as a GM and Admin that had to handle the initial ban, unban, and then the harassment and lies that followed. Your anger doesn't make you not a liar.

The sequoia tree shifts and groans, before part of the trunk bulges and forms into something vaguely elven and feminine, but rough, covered in odd branches, leaves, and hardened bark. Your soul was so beautiful, your heart was pure, and you embodied everything it meant to be a servant of the Aspects. The Sequoia Druid would come to a stop near her soul tree, hands clenching as the wind rustled her reed-like hair. Sap tears formed and rolled down her cheeks as her violet eyes turned to her tree, walking over and placing her hand on it as it shifted, mournful creaks and groans coming from its massive form as her true vessel mourned the passing, her husk muttering the words of her soul. "Goodbye, daughter...may the three welcome you to the Eternal Forest as they did me so long ago. Wander that wondrous place and delve into it's melodies and mysteries...and meet the friends passed long before us." she smiles gently and closes her eyes, wiping her tears away. "Blessed be...may you finally find peace and happiness..."

Lillith's head tilts just a little as she feels the passing, meditating within the fae ring in her grove. Her features remain calm and relaxed, perhaps even more relaxed after realizing who had passed. Her face is impassive and emotionless as her eyes shift to her staff, taking it up and pushing herself to stand as she leaves the fae ring and slowly starts to head to the surface, eyes looking up at the moon. She raises her staff and lowers her head, clasping the ancient staff with both wooden hands as her silken, reedlike hair falls around her face. "Nemiisae, your cycle continues once more. Aspects, please allow Brother Bull his rest. His sins in life led him to this inevitable end, his death should bring him peace." she murmurs softly, lowering her staff and looking upwards once more, silent for many long minutes before mumbling to herself. "Guess someone found his tree before I could...at least I can stop hunting now. Blessed be, whoever has brought Toren to justice." She turns on her heel and heads for the gate...

Honestly I'd prefer no magic plugin anyways, as it's just another pvp/rpg crutch holding up and supporting things that aren't RP on an RP server (or at least a server that claims to be RP but really, really isn't at it's core) so at least in that regard you lot have left me rather satisfied, not like I ever believed you'd put out a magic plugin anyways. You only need two spells to fully represent magic in PVP combat. A projectile spell, and a healing spell. They can represent every offensive damaging spell and the ability to heal companions. You don't need to represent every single spell that exists. Yeah, druids would like a spell that mimics bonemeal, but that's not a NEED. Sure, necromancers would love to summon a skeleton or zombie, but that's not a NEED. Sure, Shades would love to have their hentai tenticles, but that's not a NEED. This all comes down to a personal desire by the coder(s) to fully represent all magic mechanically and them not wanting to make any of it guild locked, as they have expressed many times in the past both publicly and privately, it came up several times in staff TS chats. Stop putting so heavy of an emphasis on turning this server into a PVP-RPG, we already have Herocraft, Dungeon Realms, and so many other options if we wanted to have that. Magic can be 99% RP'd, it just needs a couple of functional spells for the inevitable "PVP default 5 4 3 2 1 go!" and for warclaims. Nothing fancy. It surely doesn't take four years to code something that incredibly simple, it's not as hard as you're making it out to be with your scapegoats.

Let's not also forget about certain coders, past and present, that don't WANT magic restricted in any way to accommodate closed groups, and that words were said along the lines of "either everyone has access to all the spells or no plugin." like a gun held to our heads. Don't throw blame on the lore, lore has literally nothing to do with physically representing a spell, and we've got plenty of plugins that run off of individual permission nodes assigned to a group or player, that's how the ENTIRE donation system runs in fact. You're making scapegoats and creating anger and paranoia, imo in an attempt to stir the server against closed magic groups that you dislike and try to get one of those ever so popular "community opinion" polls that you can point at to try to sway people into getting rid of something.

I have a 25 netherwart farm that I get about 30 netherwart per harvest. It's low as hell but at least reproduces. I made that farm from a single one, took a while.

Lillith reads the note and sits down by the stream running through the moot Circle, letting out a deep sigh as she wipes a few tears from her face. Glancing over towards the central pedestal, she looks at the chess set still sitting there from a week prior, when Veren paid them a last visit and many of them shared a few last games of chess with him. She pushes herself up and heads over, picking up the white queen carved of fine birch, walking over towards an empty place in the circle as her good eye glows a gentle emerald hue, the saplings there starting to shift and form together as she takes out a small blade, placing the queen piece upon the saplings as they twine around it tightly. She smiles gently as the growth forms into a small decorative shrine, taking the blade and carving a message into one of the saplings. "We will play another game, my dear friend. Rest with the Aspects, Brother Squirrel."

Lillith reads the scroll before Kyral burns it, shaking her head. "Love will do what it will do. I've watched two short-lived lovers pass, a human and a half elf. It hurt, a lot, but that pain is overshadowed by the happiness we had."

Stable server income might be the most important thing to keep LotC running. Most of it goes into the costs of hosting, DDOS protection, and hardware upgrades. It's not like we've been running on the same hardware for 4 years, the server has been upgraded many times, and that takes money to do. Just because you don't see all of the transactions doesn't mean the money's getting thrown around haphazard. Hosting isn't cheap, good DDOS protection is several hundred monthly, and believe me, I was around when we didn't have it, during Asulon LotC would be down a week or two at a time from massive DDOS attacks, we're not going back to that. Okay? I've got close to him and I've never had LotC funds accessible, so I think your insinuation that he's used funds inappropriately to buy himself Steam games is perhaps skewed. He's got two more years on there than me too, so really there's not a huge surprising gap between us or anything.
