  3. I've always enjoyed thinking of ways to bring the effects of MC enchantments IC. I don't go into detail how I make them because I'm not an alterationist, but I've never seen that a cause for concern. I've always RPed that the blade of my longsword ignites in flames when exposed to the air. And considering it's got fire aspect, I don't think that's too absurd. Never had any complaints. Edit: and that's just one example though. Your sword has smite, but no cleric has enchanted it? Maybe the steel can be gilded. Bane of Arthropods? A poison that reacts strangely with spider blood. Unbreaking? Maybe mana was used to remove some impurities in the metal. I'd like to think we can be creative instead of just keeping it out of RP.
  4. Having people in it. (That is a serious response.)
  5. ((I don't usually make posts like this, but I kinda saw this as a pretty big development moment for my new character.)) As the sun began dropping to the horizon, a weary Dalton trudges his way back to the abandoned house he had claimed as his own. He stopped along the way to clean the blood from his chain-mail, and couldn't help but look at his reflection in the water. The man staring back at him was almost an unfamiliar one. He had never owned a set of armor before, and much less gone to battle in it. No day had changed him as much as this one. Even when the black ones took Renatus and forced him out of his home, he had still just been a laborer. This day marked an end to that previous life. Dalton was a soldier now. Though he had dealt no death-blows, he had fought and shed blood beside his brothers in arms. Few thoughts went towards the many who had fallen that day. They were pagans, but more importantly they were aggressors. They had marched against the faithful even when the threat of the black ones remained. The peasant had made up his mind as the victorious Order-men made their way back to Leuvaarden. He had not started this war, but it was his duty to fight in it. He had run from the black ones, but he could run no further. Now a Man-at-Arms of Amyas, he made his way home after the blood was gone from his gear. There would be more fighting to come, and all he knew was that he would continue until the war was over and the realm of men could return their focus to the true evil.
  6. OOC: MC Name: Dohvabro Skype Name: dohvakin_shouldnt_be_taken Do you have or are willing to get TS?: I'd rather not. Only for battles. IC: The application has been filled out, albeit it is messy and difficult to read. It looks as though the writer has relatively little writing skill. Name: Dalton. Race: Heartlander Are you of a noble birthline?: no Why do you wish to serve the Knights Lorraine?: I need new home and work. Dead ones took my shack and I can't take it back.
  7. The Maheral claps his hands together a single time in front of himself, giving a firm nod. "Not the results I expected from such a challenge, but both sides have seen reason behind the other's arguments and I believe this may prove to be less disruptive and a generally better result than otherwise. So be it!"
  8. Having shown up to watch the challenge, the Maheral grunts as he paces forward before raising his voice. "Had this been actual news of a threat as serious as you claim, then you would be considered just as guilty as Kalameet, Miss Cyra. Instead of reporting what you claim to be 'the most serious threat to purity' in recent times, you instead concealed this information until it benefited you to reveal it. Until you had grown tired of 'tolerating' this 'threat', as you put it. This is what your own words suggest, so do you have any explanation for your actions? They shame you as much as you intended them to shame Kalameet." He clasps his hands behind his back, as he continues to speak. "As it stands, you are lucky, Miss Cyra. Instead of tolerating and failing to report what would normally be a major criminal, all you did was keep information out of context, before using it in an attempt to slander an elected official when it suited you." The Maheral turns to those gathered, before further raising his voice. "Do not fear, Mali'aheral. Although what little truth there is behind this information has been presented to you accompanied by lies and slander, that truth itself is already known. This Mali, your elected Medi'ir has helped more in the hunt against Shades, Blood Magi and other dark mages than almost everyone else here, combined. I have seen this with my own eyes. The effects this noble effort has had on him are already being monitored, and I assure you all that I would not have allowed him to step foot in the blessed new home I secured for you, if he was indeed a threat to your purity. Due to the nature and careful monitoring of these effects, he has already been granted special exception by previous officials. An exception that may not be overturned as a matter of political convenience." After this he turns to the Sohaer, addressing her directly however still loud enough for all to speak. "With the slander and general nasty business cleared up, a legitimate challenge has been posed, so as Maheral, I have questions for both the Sohaer and the challenger. I will ask Avern'dionne first, and Kalameet afterwards." "It is suggested that you maintained relations with and willingly attempted to aid via several counts of the disruption of justice one Lyu'maehr, a member of the Orriran, a group found guilty of treason and sentenced to death after repeated attempts to seize control of Haelun'or and remove its elected leaders through the use of direct aggression, attempted poisoning and mass-theft of food with the intent to starve Mali'aheral citizens loyal to the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya. The guilt of these individuals has already been established, and resulting punishment decreed. " "Yet despite this, it is said that you yourself admitted your judgement was clouded by emotions, having 'fallen in love' with the traitor. It is for this reason that raw emotions have little place in proper Mali'aheral society, especially in government. So I ask you, Sohaer, if your judgement was clouded by emotions to the extent that you attempted to interfere with the Parir'tir at two separate times during the trial, how are the Mali'aheral expected to remain confident in your leadership? How do we know such occurrences won't happen again? I wish to hear an explanation from your own mouth, and I believe it important everyone pay attention." The Maheral gives a content nod as he finishes, pausing for a moment, before seeming to change his mind. "I'll give you time to think about your answer, while I pose my question for Kalameet." Delonna then turns his attention to Kalameet, before continuing to speak. "To the challenger, Kalameet. Just as Miss Cyra is to refrain from slandering yourself, I'd ask you refrain from doing the same to Miss Avern'dionne. Publically suggesting a Mali'aheral is involved in Orrarian plots may not be done without proof. Whilst the actions that have led to this challenge are concerning, they are not proof of treason. And let there be no mistake. Involvement with Durion Uradir or his Orrarian is treason." With his hands still clasped firmly behind his back, the Maheral directions his speech to Kalameet while keeping it loud enough for all to hear. "You are challenging Avern'dionne for the position of Sohaer, because you believe her actions on this day label her as unfit for tremendous burden our leaders must take upon themselves. Whilst a Sohaer must be capable of reacting properly in situations like this, that is not their only duty. As Maheral in a time without government, I did what was thought impossible and successfully negotiated for the return of our home without shedding a drop of blood. I secured this land for us, but I have retired from the roles of architecture and construction. This left a large role to be filled, and whilst not acting alone, there can be no doubt that our Sohaer has put considerable effort into raising our new city, and providing that which we see around us. Before becoming Sohaer, she also played substantial role in securing peace with those nations that flocked to the Usurpers' aid when he rose up against us." "If you believe you are a better candidate for her position, I believe it important we hear your intentions. How do you intend to further the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya, and improve Mali'aheral society as our Sohaer? Excluding today's actions, as they are already giving legitimate cause for a challenge, why do you believe yourself to be a better agent of progress, and why did you not put yourself forward for the position during the recent election?" Finally finished, he crosses his arms in front of his chest as he waits for responses. ((Editing this part in at the end, since that last message appeared while I was typing.)) "Furthermore, an investigation into this accusation of sending those under the purity trials to murder fellow Mali'aheral is mandated, by order of the Maheral. This is a serious accusation, as ordering one under the returning to purity act to commit a crime also deems the one who sent them as equally responsible for the actions of the impure. Imrassa is to be detained, and the truth will be found. That investigation is to remain separate from this challenge."
  9. "Imarssa is not ready to be voted upon. She has yet to complete section three of the Return to Purity: Learning the Way."
  10. An excerpt is taken from the Election Processes for the Triumvirate section of the reformed government document, and posted with the voting notices.
  11. After pinning up the new announcements of the edited and reforming government of Haelun'or, the High Elf, Delonna can be seen walking throughout the city-under-construction, calling out. "All Mali'aheral! The time has come! Gather outside the inn!" Upon arriving at the inn you find a crowd beginning to gather, curious as to the reason for the commotion. Another parchment has been set up, this time with a notice and leftover space below it. As we have many times before, the time has come to choose which citizens we wish to be responsible for directing the future of our people. The labours they face will be great, and they will not prevail without a true will to further the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya. Should you consider yourself worthy and capable of the sacrifices the Mali'aheral require, sign your name and the position you aspire to on this parchment. The Mali'aheral themselves will choose who is to be uplifted to fill the positions, so all candidates are expected to inform their fellow citizens of their intentions and explain how their selection will further society. The positions that require filling: Sohaer Medi'ir Medi'ir maehr'sae hiylun'ehya -Delonna Aeléyèlsa, Maheral of the Mali’aheral. ((Speeches go on this thread.)) ((As Mithradites once said:))
  12. Upper Government Positions: Maheral The translation of this title is: The completion of wisdom. Our tradition is the most precious safeguard of the Mali’aheral. Within the figure of the Maheral, our history is preserved. This is not an elected position. The Maheral is not a politician, but a symbol. We will follow his leadership at all times, and trust in his wisdom, for he holds in his hand the context of tradition itself. The Maheral is a mediator, and known to be only be one of heightened wisdom. This one is a chronicler of our people, and the physical embodiment of all that is Mali'aheral. As the cultural leader of our people, he will not directly take part in politics, however may intervene should our culture and traditions come under threat. He is the only one worthy of being called "Malaurir," and citizens are encouraged to refer to him as such. Duties of the Maheral: Exact duties are delineated and decided by the Maheral who holds the position until deciding to retire. 1.) Guidance. The Maheral acts as the spiritual and cultural guide of the Mali’aheral, preserving the culture, traditions and most importantly the guiding principal of the Mali’aheral, the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. 2.) Mediation It is often the duty of the Maheral to mediate conflicts between Mali’aheral so that a speedy resolution can be made. The word of the Maheral, however, in such matters is not binding. Esteemed Positions of the Blessed Triumvirate Under the Triumvirate system, there must always be three tribunes. Below are listed the duties and designations of the tribunes. Sohaer Head of the City, both as a representative of the people, and an outright physical symbol of Mali'aheral authority. Where our Maheral will stand for custom and tradition, the Sohaer shall be the embodiment of governance. With the outright advantage of power, the Sohaer bears great responsibility. He or she bears the weight of order, and the one elected to this position must possess the strength to protect the city above all else. For he or she will be the first pair of hands always, to uphold Her. Due to their great responsibility, citizens are encouraged to refer to the Sohaer as “Laurir.” Duties of the Sohaer 1.) Consultation. While the Sohaer presides as the head of state, he or she is obliged to seek the advice of fellow authorities. The two underlings who share seats of power should be sought out before large decisions are made, to better inform the wisdom of the Sohaer himself/herself. 2.) Status. The Sohaer claims the right to differentiate between times of war and times of peace. Without a stated declaration from the Sohaer, the City cannot engage in national conflict. 3.) Diplomacy. The friendships of our Nation are tied directly to Her fate. Thus, in the Sohaer rests the ability to choose our state’s official allies and enemies. No tie between our nation and another can be made without the approval of the Sohaer. Also, the Sohaer conducts visits from emissaries and representatives from alien nations. All inquiries on the national level by diplomatic meeting are to be attended by the Sohaer. 4.) Guidance. Referendums must be signed into the law by the Sohaer. Ratification of law is vested in the signatory of this position. 5.) Teaching. The Sohaer must be knowledgeable about all matters of the City and Mali’aheral culture. More importantly, however, he or she must teach these things to all who inquire it, so as to enhance the Blessed City’s wealth and blessing in knowledge. 6.) Service. The Sohaer must be at the service of the city, with no task for the betterment of all below himself/herself. The Sohaer shall perform any task for the advancement and health of the Mali’aheral beneath his or her power. 7.) Example. More than anything, the Sohaer shall represent the best aspects of all Mali’aheral and serve as a role-model for all. With exceptional purity, and exceptional citizenship, the Sohaer must demonstrate for each citizen the pinnacle of Mali’aheral expectation for behaviour. Medi’iran (First and Second) Two officials shall be elected by the Mali’aheral to serve as the Sohaer’s executive cabinet. These officials shall operate as advisory and secondary authorities beneath the Sohaer, and shall perform his or her duties, should he/she be unable. Therefore, all duties of the Sohaer are the inherited property of the Medi’iran in circumstances of emergency or absence, and not to an unelected temporary replacement. Below are the designated duties of the Medi’iran, which must be performed whilst an active Sohaer is in power. Due to their great responsibility, citizens are encouraged to refer to them as “Laurir.” Duties of the Medi’iran 1.) Maintenance. The library and all responsibilities of its upkeep are the imperatives of the Medi’iran. 2.) Infrastructure. Assisting in the appointment of Okariran to position and supervising the duties of these Okariran is also the responsibility of a Medi’ir. 3.) Counsel. It is the job of the Medi’ir to provide counsel to the Sohaer in order to better inform decision making. Therefore, Medi’ir must be well informed of all matters involving the City, both in domestic and foreign matters. 4.) Aiding and abetting. The Medi’ir must provide aid to the Sohaer in all ways possible to help him/her perform his/her duty. 5.) Economy. Management of trade and designation of trading partners of the state are responsibility of the Medi’iran. 6.) Service. The Medi’iran must be at the service of the city, with no task for the betterment of all below himself/herself. The Medi’iran shall perform any task for the advancement and health of the Mali’aheral that they serve. 7.) Example. More than anything, the Medi’iran shall represent the best aspects of all Mali’aheral and serve as a role-models for all. With exceptional purity, and exceptional citizenship, the Medi’iran must demonstrate for each citizen the pinnacle of Mali’aheral expectation for behaviour. Lower Levels of Government: Okariran Officials shall be selected by the Triumvirate to serve as their executive cabinet. The Okariran shall operate as advisory administrative authorities beneath the Triumvirate, and are given designated authority by the Triumvirate to manage a certain aspect of City infrastructure. This authority extends only into the specific tasks/area of task they are given, and is always superseded by the Sohaer or Medi’iran, should those parties deem it appropriate. Sulii’ceru The translation of this title is: Strong sighted. The Sulii'ceru keeps his identity secret to all but the Sohaer and Maheral. An exposed Sulii’ceru is to be immediately retired. The Sulii’ceru holds the following duties: 1.) Observation. The Sulii’ceru keeps a watchful gaze upon those of the Hieal’thilln making sure they remain pure and true to the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. 2.) Action. The Sulii’ceru may immediately strip of their title those of the Hieal’thilln who are found to be either impure or knowingly violating the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya ideal. In this event, the Sulii’ceru will inform the Sohaer who shall ask the violating member of the Hieal’thilln to step down (or step down himself if he is in violation). 3.) Revealing. In the event the Sohaer refuses to act out the suspension of the Sulii'ceru, or knowingly suspends a member not recommended by the Sulii'ceru, the Sulii'ceru shall use his proof of identity and expose himself and order the Sohaer to resign. In this case, the Sulii'ceru shall resign himself immediately afterward. It is important to note that for all Mali’aheral serving government positions: Should you come under scrutiny, you can be tried in a tribunal--and should you be found guilty, immediately removed from office. Election Processes for the Triumvirate (Primary) There must always be three tribunes: the Sohaer, and Medi’iran. In the event where there is an open spot for a new tribune to be elected, those who wish to lead must declare themselves a contender on an official voting referendum. Having them openly declare themselves a candidate is to safeguard against demagogic manipulation--all intentions must be known, and furthermore, it must be the whole-hearted intention of a candidate to hold a position. Such positions are more than duty bound, but require personal dedication to the City and all Mali’aheral within it. As such, no candidate can be foisted or maneuvered into these positions without express personal desire. During times of election, each citizen has a right to vote for a candidate into a position he or she (the voter), thinks would be best suited. In the event that more than a single seat is up for election, then citizens shall make explicit which candidate they desire to nominate to which position. All citizens must vote for a candidate in each contested seat during an election. Should they choose not to vote a candidate for a contested seat, all their votes will be discounted. Requirements for Running for Election 1.) Citation of Worthiness. Mali’aheral seeking a Triumvirate position must cite and submit to the public. When campaigning for a position, a candidate must create a platform. The platform must be explicitly stated for education purposes of the voters. A platform shall consist of the policies and positions the candidate intends to support if elected, as well as give their credentials for being appointed to authority. 2.) Previous Lack of Engagement. Those who are already in a position of authority outside the Triumvirate, such as the Okarir'tir or Okariran, may not be elected while in this position. This is to further safeguard against corruption and political usurpation from citizens with multiple areas of influence. 3.) Outstanding Record. No impure Mali’aheral may seek upper government positions. Excellent citizenship is required; no exceptions. Let it be known that if proper processes for resolving an impure charge have been taken, a Mali’aheral may assume a clean record. Challenging a Tribune (Secondary) A tribune who fails to gain public approval may be removed via referendum and debate. Process for Removing Unfit Tribunes: The challenger must publicly declare a motion to remove a tribune and replace him/her in the Triumvirate. The tribune must either accept or reject this motion. If the motion is accepted, the tribune immediately resigns and is effectively removed from power. In this case, new elections will be held to refill the position. If it is rejected, the challenger must defend their objection by engaging in formal public debate with the tribune. If the challenger can win this debate (by referendum judgement), he/she will replace the tribune on the Triumvirate. All citizens are duty-bound to observe, and listen to the debates. After a debate, citizens will vote to uphold or dismiss the motion. During the debate, citizens are encouraged to pose questions towards the two contenders. After the affair is complete, and the citizenry have no other questions to pose, they are then obliged to vote between the two. Voting for a challenger/incumbent All citizens have the right to select one of three votes: 1) Pro-challenger. 2) Pro-incumbent. 3) Abstain. Simply, the one with most support is considered to be the victor. However, if the majority of citizenry have chosen to abstain, then it can be concluded that the citizenry has no confidence in either candidate. Should this be so, then an open election of the tribune may commence with any citizens putting themselves up for election in the primary manner. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ Laws to be added after reviewal. ((This will replace the outdated "Laws and Government of Haelun'or" thread once completed.)) ((Credits to Mithradites and SupremacyOps. As they're aware, most of it is recycled from their posts of former systems with a bit of tidying and updating done by myself and Kuroi.))
  13. Meanwhile. Instead of wasting time talking about how reforms would be good, the Maheral is actually preparing them.
  14. Notices are posted throughout the refuge of the High Elves, with an additional one directly outside the refuge. Mali’aheral of Haelun’or. In anticipation of our return to Annil’sul, there are several matters of structure and law that must be handled. Many of these, such as government and Mali’aheral law will be addressed once construction is underway, however a few matters can be settled early. Magic: As usual, any magic of a corrupting or inherently dark nature will remain banned. The presence of Dark Arts not only threatens to corrupt the mind and body of the user, but also those around them. Furthermore, any individuals known/found to be practicing magic of a corrupting nature are to be considered criminals. Such persons, Mali’aheral or not, should be immediately reported. The status of Druidism, Clerical, and any other arcane arts that draw from unconfirmable (non-voidial) sources will be discussed and determined after future government reforms. All standard void-based arcane arts remain allowed. Each practicing mage is reminded that magic’s nature makes it dangerous, and that they are responsible for the effects of their magic regardless of intention. Golemancy: Whilst not confirmed to be corrupting in nature, the practice of Golemancy is also to be considered banned within the borders of Haelun’or. History shows this to be a volatile and dangerous art, which has no place in Mali’aheral culture. Any found to be practicing Golemancy in the State of Haelun’or are knowingly endangering the lives of their fellow citizens, and will face the legal consequences of doing so. Golems: The ban on the practice of Golemancy does not prevent the presence of privately owned Golems, which remain the property of their owner. That owner is to be recognized as responsible for the actions of his or her Golem/s. Furthermore, no Golem may be granted access to the state of Haelun’or should an owner not be present. Such Golems have been noted to cause trouble in the past, and pose an unwelcome risk. -Delonna Aeléyèlsa, Maheral of the Mali’aheral.
  15. Notices are posted throughout the refuge of the High Elves. Mali'aheral of Haelun'or. As you are likely aware by now, our extended conflict with the Mali'ame has come to an end and Annil'sul is being returned to its rightful owners. Once the redesigning and reconstruction of our home is well underway, a grand masquerade will be held to celebrate what we have accomplished. To mark the treaty that has been signed and the peace that it brings, I'd like to announce the commencement of a poetry contest, open to all Mali'aheral. The best original entries will be judged, and prizes will be awarded to the favorites. The competition deadline will be announced at a later date, and a box for the submission of poems will be provided. The winning entry/entries will be expected to give a public reading of their poems. -Delonna Aeléyèlsa, Maheral of the Mali’aheral. OOC: (Includes submission instructions)
  16. Delonna simply sighs, shaking his head as he reads over Kalenz's drivel and speaks to himself, or anyone listening. "That's right. I forgot that he managed to unite the elves, without ever even being present. As I recall, I offered the Mali'ker refuge, and the Trivumirate which he wasn't part of offered the Mali'ame refuge. Meanwhile Kalenz was in self-imposed exile after his failings to protect us in Lin'evaral. Then Kalenz returns, threatens a few splinters and snow 'elves', and is suddenly a visionary. All he really did was corrupt the purpose of that unity. He may not have wielded the sword against us, but he spat in the face of those who did. Enough is enough. If offering my enemy a kindness he did not offer me is my mistake, then let the Mali'aheral judge me, and let the rest of the world judge them. But I think the real mistake is letting it reach this point in the first place."
  17. ((Much of this is no longer valid. Can remove/close/whatever for now, and see what happens in RP.))
  18. Letters are sent out to nation leaders. Leaders of Athera. It has come to my attention that not only has the war criminal Kalenz Uradir returned, but he has resumed his wicked ways. I wish to assure you that the Mali’aheral of Haelun’or have no interest in following this madman’s schemes, nor being part of his chaos. As Maheral, head of the Mali’aheral people, I hereby denounce Kalenz Uradir. I denounce his actions, and I denounce his goals. His mind has deteriorated to the point of insanity, and neither he, nor his words represent the will of the Mali’aheral. He will receive no shelter with the Mali’aheral, and should he be found, he will apprehended to face justice for his crimes. -Delonna Aeléyèlsa, Maheral of the Mali’aheral. A notice is pinned inside the refuge of the High Elves. Mali’aheral of Haelun’or. As you may be aware, Kalenz Uradir has returned. Whilst the return of a former leader would normally be an occasion to celebrate, this Mali’aheral has caused us more grief than any other. Not only did he play a significant part in the events that led to the war and genocide that cost us our home, but he has already commenced undermining the progress we’ve been making to restore our people. Until our situation has been stabilized and the Mali’aheral people can decide what to do with him, Kalenz Uradir is to be considered a criminal and exile, to be apprehended should he be present in our home. As a former friend and student of Kalenz this brings me no pleasure to announce, however he is a danger to himself, to the Mali'aheral, and to everything we work towards. In the name of progress, we must not allow him to continue. -Delonna Aeléyèlsa, Maheral of the Mali’aheral.
  19. If Maheral Delonna Aeléyèlsa were to see this letter which he probably won't, he will lock Kalenz in a dark cupboard until the war is over.
  20. Music: Within the sanctuary of the high elves the mali’aheral gather by the flickering light of candles. Roused by the sands of time and by their fate to return as the wardens of the children of Malin. The Children of Silver had been hardened by their time in exodus from their home and the transgressions of those who betrayed them and it was seen in the steely resolve upon their faces. Amongst them was Andria Ith’ael who spoke first in her usual manner. “Perhaps the other elves might say that our people have long endured the cruel twists and turns fate has imposed upon us, but all true mali’aheral know there is no such thing as fate. In our case, there is merely the error of inaction which has caused us separation in anguish from our home. Long ago in Lin’evaral we permitted those who in their lesser minded stupidity stepped upon us to see us slink into darkness— This is how Lin’evaral was lost to us. But this is not our fate any longer for over the years our kin have learned to scorn the shadows, it is time to return to the light once more— The light of Annil’sul. I have lead you for such a long time that my mantle has been passed to another, but I too have waited long for this day”. Soon Avern’dionne Adriane strode into the hall speaking curtly to Delonna in a hushed tone: “It is arranged, the mali’ker, valah and uruk march among us”. The mali’aheral had gathered about another central figure, Delonna Aéléylsa, for it was he who had always forged them anew from disaster and it was he who was the Maheral of Blessed Haelun’or. With a brilliant flash of light from the high elf’s hands he announced so all in attendance could hear: “The ascendancy is upon us! The wicked elves of Bronze deceived us, whispering into the ears of those who were most foolish, the ears of those who brought us ruin. To purge them would have been just, but our chance was missed. But we shall not be so foolish a second time. Let Bronze be torn asunder and our home reforged from the splinters it was turned to but four years ago!” A great cheer echoed about the sanctum, one of joy— An emotion not often seen amongst the mali’aheral who are so often careful to remain reserved and logical. Soon after another voice seemed to announce with an eldritch tone which made it clear to all above the din what was said. It was the voice of Kalenz Uradir which rang out: “Let us return to what is ours and purge those who dared cross us on that fated day! Iyathantae ito Haelun’or!” In chorus Silir’ilume and Iatrilemar Elevathar echoed: “Iyathantae ito Haelun’or!” Soon the call had spread throughout the hall, with each elf repeating that which was certain. The mali’aheral had not forgotten the motherland, they had not forsaken their home and it would be theirs once more. Warclaim Thread

  22. The moment when one person stating an opinion that some people agree with automatically means that's what everyone wants. Regardless, this looks pretty good to me. Better than worldguard in my opinion. Keeping worldguard regions working wasn't anywhere near as convenient as people seem to imply (there were actually a lot of behind-the-scenes issues that had to be dealt with, and you couldn't do much without waiting for a GM that actually knew how to do it. And trust me, plenty of them didn't). With these changes, the remaining problems with nexus regions are staff policy, NOT the actual plugin. Putting world guard in won't magically change the way modifying and claiming regions are dealt with. The staff need to change their policy on that. If we have to remove nexus regions, can we just let region owners choose between nexus and worldguard? I've moderated regions on both, and nexus is easier.

So basically, I just did this because pirates are cool. Halloween or not, it was gonna happen sooner or later. And look! There's more!
  24. Letting players use this until the magic plugin is ready sounds like a good idea. Yes please.
  25. Ouch. So it turns out if the server restarts while you've got an enchanted book in the table, it loses its enchantment.
