  1. Bridgid Campbell, if she had heard Argyll's thoughts, would laugh at her clansmen. Silly Argyll!
  2. (Don't worry, I'm authorized to do this XD) Lacey, also known as Raven and Captain of the Grey Company, reads the letter before taking up her quill and ink, quickly writing a letter in a neat scrawl. She rolls it up and attaches it to the leg of her namesake, a jet black raven. She opens the window and lets the creature out. It flies away to deliver Elroy's acceptance into the Company.

  7. After sorting things out with her father and with Zahrer, Riddeth agrees to go along with it. Not happily, but she is willing to do anything for her clan.
  8. Riddeth Thunderfist's jaw drops when she sees the announcement of her wedding. She was not informed of this. She make a note to go talk to her father about this.
  9. Aisling Eilthereach is proud of her son, even though she doesn't know he's been knighted.
  10. Aisling Eilthereach hefted her large pack onto her shoulder and took the hand of her five year old son, Seamus. She trekked through the snow with him, both keeping silent. The wind was bitter and unforgiving today. They wouldn't be in the snow much longer though, because soon they would leave Dwarven territory and be on their way to the Wilds. In her mind, Aisling played over the events of the last few hours. She had been packing in the Casino when she was confronted by Torrah. Together they cried and hugged and whispered last goodbyes. Aisling knew it was better this way. Her two remaining adopted children had futures here. Torrah was blossoming into a beautiful young lady who was being courted already by more than one young man. Eddard was on his way to becoming an Adunian knight, just like he always dreamed of. Aisling had nothing left for her at Vaer'haven. Most of her friends and clan mates were gone, either just gone or dead. She still mourned her husband Eideard, who had disappeared forever. After his death, she led the Eilthereach Clan, but it wasn't enough. Deep down, Aisling knew she wasn't a leader. No one could lead the clan except for Eid. She looked down at her only birth son as they walked along the path. On his head, he had a pair of little goggles strapped to his forehead, tangled curls of red spilling over the top of them. He looked so much like his father... Aisling walked away with Seamus, and slowly they disappeared into the trees. And with that, Clan Eilthereach of Adunia died. "I'm sorry..."

  12. Clan Eilthereach holds a very brief history. It was born only a few years ago, and holds no ties to ancient Adunia, therefore making it an illegitimate clan. Yet the clan survived and is now currently one of four major clans in Adunia and is accepted like any other clan. ~ The clan started with a man named Eideard. A great beast of a man, he stood taller than most other Adunians and sported red, curly locks. He always had a mischievous grin on his face and blue-green eyes that almost always seemed amused. Not much is known about his past, except that he was expelled from his previous clan and adopted the name Eilthereach, which literally means 'clanless'. From there he acquired an inn, and learned how to brew some of the best ale in the area. After a few years of owning the inn, it was attacked by Dwarven bandits and was burned to the ground. Out of luck, Eideard did odd jobs until he was contacted by a man named Dorian Cegorach, a mercenary working for Hanrahan Brae. Dorian encouraged him to meet them at Vaer'haven, and from there Eideard became an innkeeper for Hanrahan. After seeing the low number of Adunians in the city, he sent birds to old friends he had made and asked them to join him at Vaer'haven. His number of followers increased, and he was recognized as Chieftain of Clan Eilthereach. After the Adunians were banished from Vaer'haven and moved from place to place while looking for a permanent home, many of the Eilthereach were lost in battles and raids. Their numbers dwindled. After the Adunians settled in Dal Cais, Eideard took Aisling Garrow, an old friend from his teenage years, as his wife, and they had a son and Eideard's only heir, Seamus Eilthereach. The two also adopted several other children into their clan. Also while in Dal Cais, Eideard created the Marcra Reimsigh, a branch of the Adunian military that specialized in arbalests and mounted combat. After a while, it became the only Adunian military branch. Soon after the war began between Urguan and Oren, Eideard disappeared while hunting to close to Oren. He is presumed dead. The Marcra was moved to the leadership of the Marshall of the Adunian military. His wife, Aisling Eilthereach, is now current Chieftess of Clan Eilthereach. Clan Characteristics The Clan wears white tartan: Preferred weapon: arbalest. Eideard was a skilled marksman with one, and so he taught the rest of his clan how to use them. They were also altered to be able to be shot from horseback, but was never integrated due to lack of horses. Members Eideard Eilthereach (Wikkat) "Lost and dearly missed..." 14. OOC Information MC Name: Juno_Ax Have you read and fully understood Kharajyr lore?: Yes Have you read and fully understood the Kharajyr application rules?:Yes Do you understand and accept that the Kharajyr application team may revoke this application in the future if they deem it necessary?: Yes Do you agree to both follow and uphold Kharajyr lore throughout your time in the Kharajyr?: Yes Tell us one unique fact about Kharajyr lore, culture or history that you know.(We will check for plagiarism!): All Kharajyr are to remain silent in the temple. The exception to this is when a priest is performing a sacrifice; only they may speak. IC Information RP Name (This includes your character’s prefix): Eshe Character Sub-race: Kha’Cheetrah Character appearance (Including age and gender): Eshe is going to be starting life as a Kharajyr from birth. Like most Kha’Cheetrahs, Eshe has a slight frame and has pale yellow fur and dark spots scattered all over her body. What is the personality of your character like?: Eshe is an extremely caring and kind character, always wanting to put others above herself. She doesn’t, however, let others walk over her. When in difficult situations, she’d rather try to solve the problem peacefully. She loves hunting and wandering throughout the jungle, always excited to discover new places and explore. Like all good Kharajyrs, she prays to Metztli, praises her, and accounts her for all her blessings. Biography (If you are applying as a kitten, please only state the name of your parents/siblings): Her father is Ja’Raska and her mother is Si’Janehsi. Character’s ambitions within the Kharajyr: To either become a huntress / forager for useful things in the forest or become a farmer. I’m just kind of waiting for roleplay to see which path she’d take. Character’s strengths/weaknesses: Like most Kha’Cheetrah, Eshe is quick on her feet. On the other hand, another characteristic of her subrace is having a weaker body-build, so she isn’t the strongest Kharajyr around. Please provide a screenshot or 3D render of your character’s skin: (It’s not completely finished yet) Situational Roleplay Questions 1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when a group of three heavily armoured humans jump out from behind a tree and start demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn and they are gradually pacing towards you... How does your character react? Eshe looked at the men, her eyes wide. Her amber-colored eyes darted left and right, looking for a way out. In her left hand she held her catch – a boar. In her right hand, she held her spear, blood still covering the tip. She contemplated fighting the apes, but that idea was quickly rejected as she looked at the three heavily armed and armored men. She then thought maybe she could outrun them, but the boar would weigh her down and make her slower. Her tail flicked nervously behind her. The apes smiled cruelly, the leader holding out his hand for her catch. Her eyes downcast, she didn’t hand the prey over, but rather she dropped it on the ground and backed away. Her blue eyes watered; she was humiliated. She strapped her spear onto her back and dropped to all fours, racing away as she heard the humans laugh at her. 2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most unholy act for a Kharajyr. How does your character react? Entering the temple silently, Eshe saw one of her friends stealing the blue gems from the altar. She frowned, rushed over, and grabbed the wrist of her friend, who almost uttered a noise in surprise when she grabbed him. Ashamed, he replaced the gems, and Eshe let go. She nodded her head toward the door, and they padded outside. Once out of the temple, Eshe asked, “Whawt deed S’Dakhameen theenk he waws duueeng?” She crossed her arms, a stern look on her face. He looked at the ground. “S’Dakhameen duues nuut knuuw.” Eshe stared at him, things silent between the two of them, and finally Eshe spoke. “Guu uun. Eshe wuunt tell, but S’Dakhameen better nuut duu eet awgaween.” He quickly slunk off, and she returned to the temple to worship. 3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs. Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with you. How does your character react? Eshe’s ears were pinned flat against her skull. She shrugged off the monks trying to heal some scrapes she had on her arm and growled at them. The backed off quickly, and she quickly exited the Cloud Temple on all fours. Outside, a dwarf was yelling horrible things about her people. She passed him, ignoring his words. He laughed loudly and pointed at her. “Look a’ the lil’ kitty! Ain’ nae’un who’d want yer kind ‘ere, go away!” He chortled drunkenly, and Eshe wrinkled her nose in disgust. She turned and looked at him sternly. “Eshe theenks dwawrf better keep hees muuth shut.” She heard him yell more insults, but she did not turn again. She decided she would not stoop to this inferior race’s level, and that Metztli would punish him for his sins. 4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one before the building collapsed. How does your character react? Without hesitation, Eshe rushed forward. She could hear the cries of both S’Dakhameen and the Tlatlanni’s child. She thinks for only a moment, and then rushes over to the white-furred child. He was her future Tlatlanni, and besides; S’Dakhameen had tried stealing the gems. She was sure that Metztli was calling him to her, and that getting in the way of that would be a sin. She quickly took the child into her arms and escaped the fire just as the roof came crashing down. In her heart, however, she felt guilt for leaving S’Dakhameen behind.
  15. Aisling was later told by her husband, Eideard, that the MacRoss clan was lost, and she sadly remembered Duncan's kindness toward her and the time she got to watch a brawl between him and his brother. She mourned Clan MacRoss, and then made a mental note about asking Eideard to put up a sign for the fallen as he did for Eoghan, Magathae, and Osgar.
  16. On a beautiful day in Dal Cais, the Adunian settlement, Hanrahan Brae stood in the stone circle located in the center of town. Above him, Chieftain Eideard Eilthereach was perched on top of one of the stones, his signature mischievous grin spread across his lips. He wore the white tartan of his clan, a suit jacket, and a new pair of goggles perched on his head among his curly red hair. Below him, Hanrahan called for him to come down. Being the show-off he was, Eideard jumped from the stone, performing a neat somersault in front of Hanrahan. He was met with applause, and he curtsied in a joking manner. “Alrigh’y, now go meet’er, an’ walk up te’ my wit’ her,” Han instructed, pointing to the Arbalester’s Alehouse. He walked over and entered to see his very pregnant bride, Aisling Garrow, dressed in white and the Eilthereach’s signature black and white plaid, same as him. In her hands she held a bouquet of red roses, and around her neck she wore the necklace given to her by Eid when he proposed. She looked back at her Maid of Honor (and only bridesmaid) and adoptive daughter, Torrah Campbell, and smiled nervously, and then at her husband to be. “M’love… Now’s the time,” said Eideard, offering her his arm. She took it and walked with him through the circle, Torrah behind them. As they walked, one of the Eilthereach’s newest recruits, Owain, began playing his bagpipes. Once they approached Hanrahan, the older Adunian smiled at them. “Hail yer’ vows, aye?” He asked. Considering that before the wedding started, Eideard had no idea what vows were, Aisling said, “We’re gonna jus’ wing it, I’ll be goin’ first.” She cleared her throat, and locked her soft brown eyes on Eideard, who had sniggered before she started. “Eideard Eilthereach, I’ve known ye fer very long, an’ I’m glad today te be marryin’ ye. I promise te always love an’ support ye, an’ I’ll be the best wife an’ mother I can te our family.” Her eyes were watery once she finished. Hanrahan then nodded to Eid for him to say his vows. “Aislin’ Garrow… Ah’ve ken’t yer ‘s lon’ as ah’ve ken’t naeone, an’ ah’ve lovet yer since we’ met. An’ ah promise, tha’ wha’e’er we e’er do, in wha’e’er place we fint oorselfs en… wha’e’er th’ situation… We’ll always be able t’ ge’ drunk, feck, ha’e kets, an’ kill folks… This ai vow.” He grinned widely. Aisling’s face grew red, horrified he said that last part at her wedding, but she shook it off quickly, knowing he was just being himself, as always. Chuckles could be heard all around. Han, still chuckling himself, placed a hand on both of their shoulders, and asked, “Ye’ do take Aislin’ te’ bein’ yer’ wife?” To which Eideard replied, “Feck yeah ah do,” which caused a fit of giggles from Torrah. Han then turned to Aisling and asked, “An’ ye, Aislin’… ye’ take Eid?” To which she replied, “Aye… I do.” Then Hanrahan simply told them, “Go kiss,” and Torrah turned away as Eideard leaned over Aisling’s enlarged belly and kissed her. The skies opened up and it started to rain, so they all retreated to the Alehouse, where Eideard pulled out a keg of ale and started treating everyone to it. After she had struggled out of her wedding gown and into some regular clothes, Aisling was walking down the stairs when she stopped in shock. She quickly told Han that her water broke, and Eideard picked her up and carried her over to a bench in the Alehouse, where after a few hours, she gave birth to a screaming little boy with a tuft of fiery red hair. Hanrahan cleaned him up and gave him to Aisling. “He’s beautiful… got the hair…” Aisling cried. “We… made a thin’…” Eideard said, staring at his boy in wonder. After being asked what they would name him, Aisling smiled and looked at her husband. “We want to name ‘im Seamus.” Eideard nodded slowly. “… We made a thin’ call’t Seamus…” Aisling smiled at Eid and said, “He isn’t a thing, ‘e’s yer son.” She then handed to him to Eideard, and he took Seamus into his arms. And so ended probably the most ridiculous Adunian wedding ever, and the birth of the first son of Eideard and Aisling Eilthereach. (I typed this up using a bunch of screenshots I took throughout the whole wedding/birth so that the Adunians who weren’t present could say they were there. Special thanks to Radahan, wikkat, and iseemoosego! Also, we are looking for someone to play Seamus in the near future, so if you are interested, please PM me. Thanks!)

  20. Out-Of-Character Information Please fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate. Minecraft Account Name: Juno_Ax How old are you?: 16 Time-Zone: GMT – 6:00 Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: Yes. What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: 3 years of roleplaying, first with forums and then in video games. I’ve probably been roleplaying on Minecraft for 6 months or more now. How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: I played before for a couple weeks, but I’d like to try again. Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: I couldn’t find my previous application, but I still need to be whitelisted since the server change. Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): I’m posting it on the Minecraft Forum right after I post it here. Have you read the Human lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: Yes, though I’m not the best with lore, it’s something I learn mostly as I go. I read the main stuff and I think I understand. Definitions In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: Changing your normal behaviors and thoughts and taking up the ones of another – usually a character of your own creation – in order to act out what they will say and do when they encounter people, conflict, everyday living, etc. Meta-gaming: Using out of character information and using it to your advantage by letting your character know this information that they aren’t supposed to know. For example, if you’re meeting someone for the first time, you can’t automatically know their name just because it shows up in the chat; you must wait for them to introduce themselves before you can use their name in dialogue. Power-emoting: Abusing emotes so that another character cannot react to stop your actions. You must give the other person a chance to resist or act a different way. For example, if in a fight you say you, “Swings at the man’s neck with his sword, chopping his head clean off his shoulders,” WITHOUT permission from the other person, this is considered power-emoting. If you say, however, “Attempts to swing at the man’s head with his sword,” this is better because the other person has time to either say, “The sword hits home and sends his decapitated head flying,” or, “He ducks just before the sword could make contact and tries to swipe the other man’s legs out from under him with a kick.” Excuse the little gore I used in this example. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Juliet Wesson Current Age: 22 Sub-race (if any): Northerner Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Juliet grew up in Asulon, living with her mother in a small cabin in the wilderness. Her mother was extremely protective; she never let Juliet venture into the surrounding woods or even leave their small yard for that matter. The girl was always a bit headstrong though, and during the night when her mother was sleeping, she snuck out in the dark and walked the nearby roads and spoke with passers-by. Sometimes, she’d even stole her father’s old sword and went out and practiced combat on the undead creatures that sometimes lurked in the woods. Unknown to her mother, she became just a good a soldier as her father had once been for the Holy Oren Empire. Miss Wesson didn’t know why her mother was so overprotective, but she never stopped pestering her to find out why. Finally, after a long argument between mother and daughter, her mother told her that it was because her father had left them, and she didn’t want to lose her only daughter too. After that, Juliet never took her father’s sword out again. She stayed in the cabin for months, wondering why her father left them. If he hadn’t, maybe they wouldn’t have to be so secluded in the woods. After a few months of moping, Juliet snuck out for the first time in a long while and encountered many travelers on their way to docks in order to board boats. When she asked why, all ignored her, but she got a sense that things were not right and they needed to leave – now. She rushed home, roused her mother from her sleep, and started packing. Alarmed, her mother asked her what she was doing, and Juliet told her all that had happened. Her mother refused to believe her story, infuriated she had snuck out all this time. Enraged and feeling a sense of urgency, she told her mother that if she didn’t get ready to leave, she’d leave without her. Stubbornly her mother persisted, and with a heavy and conflicted heart, Juliet left the cabin in the woods, took the road she had seen so many travel, and headed for the docks. She just barely made it aboard before they started to leave. She had with her a knapsack of food and her father’s old sword on her hip (she had decided last minute to grab it before she left). She felt guilt for leaving her mother, but she tried focusing more on the opportunity a new world would provide. They seemed to sail forever, until they made it to the two islands of Kalos and Elysium. Once there, she could barely remember her mother or their cabin in the woods. It seemed more like a dream that was lost somewhere in the back of her mind, one she didn’t necessarily want to remember. One day during a storm, her father’s sword was lost overboard, and she lost the last tie to her previous life. Ambitions for the Future: To meet more people and live a happy life where she had the freedom to live however she wants. She’s pretty optimistic, and wishes to find her true calling (whatever it may be, I’m just going to let role play take her in whatever direction). Personality: Upbeat most of the time, but a little headstrong. She can be wise for her age, but sometimes her wisdom is forgotten in the heat of the moment. She is caring and strives to be a good friend (once she has some, that is). Skills: Fair at hunting, skilled enough in combat to protect herself and engage in a fight if necessary, agile (can do flips, a little free-running) *Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Blonde hair, light gray-lilac eyes, usually dressed in brown leather. Any other details you wish to share about your character: Sometimes her anger gets the best of her in stressful situations. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: Juliet watched the dark man carefully. Her head was reeling. Should she call for the guards who were close by, or should she just walk away? She took deep breaths and followed the dark-clad man quietly, letting her instincts tell her what to do. Was this the right choice? She didn’t know, but she carried on, going a little faster to close the gap between them. Her heart was pounding like a drum, and she hoped he wouldn’t be able to hear it. She told herself that she could do this, that she could overtake him with the element of surprise. The dark man stopped and listened. She held her breath and kept to the shadows. He deemed everything alright, and started sneaking forward again. Juliet followed. When she was close enough, she clenched her fists, ran up behind the figure, and tried to jump on his back. He was surprised and she was able to scramble on top of him and call loudly for the guards. She could hear pounding in her ears – her own heartbeat and the sound of the boots running her direction. The man underneath her struggled and managed to push her off of him. She lay on the ground, but she tried to grab his ankle before he could start running. He stumbled and he pulled a knife out of his coat. Before he could stab her, however, the guards reached them and pinned him down. He was revealed to be an assassin trying to take the life of the Emperor. Before the main guard on duty could thank her and offer reward, Juliet was gone. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: Juliet quickly retreated to the safety of the trees, hoping the bandits didn’t see her. Her mind was racing, trying to figure out what to do. She listened a little while, and judged the two bandits were thick headed and used their brawn instead of their wits. She soon formed a plan. She picked up a handful of rocks and climbed a tree on the edge of the clearing. She threw rocks at trees surrounding the clearing to rustle their leaves, which turned the bandits attention away from the elderly man. They looked around suspiciously at the trees when Juliet spoke in a loud voice, trying to sound like a man. “Let that man go before I have my archers turn you into pin cushions!” She threw a few more rocks for added effect, and prayed that the bandits were stupid enough to fall for it. With confused looks, they backed away from the old man, who stood his ground in front of his home. “Leave, NOW!” The two, scared out of their wits, ran for the hills. The old man stood looking around the clearing, wondering who his silent savior was, but eventually retired to his cottage. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: The young girl walked up to the vendor and looks at what he has laid out. Her eyes rest on a dagger with an emerald laid in the hilt. Curiously, she picks it up. The vendor sees her interest and informs her that the knife has no set price and that he’s willing to haggle. Juliet looks over the dagger, contemplating. She then asked, “What price would you think would be fair for this weapon?” He starts the price at 300 Minas. She looks at him with a raised eyebrow, and says, “I wouldn’t pay one Mina for this trash.” Surprised, the vendor asked, “Why do you call it trash? This is a Dwarven blade, inlaid with one of the finest emeralds in Elysium!” She responded, “Finest emerald, huh? So Elysium has emeralds made of glass?” With that, she smashed the hilt on the side of the vendor’s stall and revealed that the ‘emerald’ had shattered.
  21. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: Juno_Ax How old are you?: 15 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT -6/United States Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, since it is my native language and I have studied proper grammar in school. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a female, first off. I have been playing Minecraft since the 1.2.5 update. I like reading and writing and, yes, playing video games. I am somewhat of an introvert, but I like having fun and meeting new people. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: During the summer I can be pretty active. I can be on just about every day, and when school starts up, I will mostly be online on the weekends. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is assuming the role of a character and acting as if you were them. You share their emotions, ambitions, and thoughts as you direct their lives through actions and/or writing. As the character you assume, you can make friends and enemies, strive to complete their life goals, and go on adventures. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've been doing forum roleplays for 1-2 years now, and I currently participate in a Minecraft roleplay. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Gaming is when you use information you know out of character and using that knowledge while you are in character. For example, if you meet someone for the first time in roleplay and he is a complete stranger to you, you may see his character's name when he speaks through the chat. Your character CAN NOT know that person's character's name until he asks for it. In your own words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-Gaming is when you fight someone else's character and act as if your character is all-powerful and invincible. If someone attacks you and you block his attack every single time and then you kill him in one blow, that isn't fair to the other person. It is polite to take some of the attacks, and in return the other person will let you get in some attacks of your own. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it to be Minecraft roleplaying on a larger scale, but it will be more active and progressive because of this. I don't expect to get bored easily on this server because there are so many people and so many places to go. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on a few survival servers and liked it, though after a while you get bored with it. After you have collected a bunch of diamonds and built to your hearts content, things get pretty dull. I have gone on a couple bigger PvP servers, where I was constantly being killed and I had no opportunity to build or survive at all. I don't really like PvP servers because it isn't fair that your hard-earned items are stolen because some guy kills you every time. I also left one server I was on because I was gone for a weekend and the owner kicked me from his faction because of inactivity. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have. I especially like the rules against PvP and griefing because these are annoying on survival servers. These are almost always found on regular survival servers, and even though I don't mind PvP's sometimes, it's better that it is controlled. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes, I promise. How did you hear about us? Did someone refer you?: I heard about the server on YouTube while I was looking for roleplaying servers. No one referred me. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: No, I have no previously made application. Have you posted this application on our minecraft forum thread yet? If not, just finish it up on here and then copy + paste is over there. In-Character: Character Name: Jodee "Jo" May Durett What Race are you?: Human Female What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Northerner Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Jodee was born an only child to a knight and a seamstress in a mountain village to the north. She grew up there, being blessed with a perfectly normal life. She wasn't however, a typical girl. Instead of playing with homemade dolls or making mud pies like the other little girls in the village, she often hung around the boys and cut sticks from trees for fake swords to fight with. Much to her mother and father's dismay, she adopted the tomboyish name "Jo" as well. When she turned twenty-three, Jo matured into a beautiful young lady. She had the pale complexion common among Northerners; and she inherited her mother's long, jet black hair. Her eyes were a chilling steel blue, reminding her of her wintry home. She wore dresses that she could move freely in and without restraint. She was good with a sword, and slayed many a beast in the woods to sell in the small market in the village. She could best any man in her village, but she didn't dare fight outside the gates with strangers, knowing she wasn't skilled enough to take on a fully-trained warrior. She never used a bow and arrows, because she was a terrible shot. After no offers of marriage were made of her or no trades suited her for work, she left her village in order to find her place in the world. What are your Character's ambitions?: Jodee strives to travel and adventure for the excitement and the experience. She isn't very worried about getting married, but is open to it. She mostly wants to find herself in the world and to make forever friends. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Jodee is partial to a sword. Her father was a knight, and she idolized him and his ability to weild a sword effectively. From an early age, she was swinging wooden swords with ease after her father taught her how and from playing with the village boys. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Swordsmanship is her most skilled talent, as discribed above, but she also is skilled in stealth. This comes from traveling in between villages to avoid highwaymen and bandits. When she was a child, she was also good at using her stealth to sneak out of the house to go on late-night adventures. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, click here: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/51343-how-to-obtain-your-skin-screenshot/): Other Information about your Character: Despite her dark and gloomy appearance, Jo is very friendly and likes to joke around and laugh and smile. She is serious sometimes, like when it comes to combat, but usually she is pretty easy-going. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? "Oi, you two!" The two warriors turn to see the pale woman in the road, one still gripping the front of the shirt of the halfling. The small victim squirmed and his eyes were wide open in fear. "What do you want, lady?" one called gruffly to Jodee. "Leave the halfling alone, and return the minas you took from him." The pair glanced at each other and let out loud guffaws. The man holding their victim let go of the halfling, who stumbled away into the bushes. There he stayed, still trembing. "What are you gonna do about it? This is just business," a man smiled slyly. "Hey, Kondi, maybe this lass has some minas to spare as well," his companion suggested. They both slowly advanced on Jo, one weilding a sword and the other a battle axe. Jodee drew her blade, the iron making a satisfying hissing noise as it slid out of its hilt. A little surprised she had a weapon, they hesitated a moment, but they continued their advance. Jo swiped at the warrior weilding the axe, attempting to make a nice cut to his leg to render him immobile. The other swung at her head with his sword. She just managed to avoid the brunt of the attack, but suffered from a deep cut on her cheek. Gripping her face, she stood her ground and readied herself for the next attack. She knew it was hopeless to think she would make it out alive against two grown men, but she had to try. Her pride was too strong for her to turn and flee. Just as the two were about to deliver their fatal blows, the halfling got up his courage and lept onto the back of the warrior with the blade. He held on for dear life as the man flailed and tried to throw him off. The other man attempted to knock the halfling off his companion with his axe, but he hit his friend instead with the blunt side of his weapon, rendering him unconscious. The halfling jumped from his back to avoid being crushed and ran around the legs of the last man. In the chaos, Jodee took the halfling's minas from the pocket of the unconscious warrior and then ran. "Run, sir, run!" she called over her shoulder The halfling ran for his life and followed Jo into the deep woods. The man ran after them, but he was not nearly as agile as his two former victims. He quickly lost them in the woods and went back to try to revive his friend. Jo stopped and waited for the halfling to catch up to her, and then she handed him his money back. "Here you go, friend, and thank you for helping me back there. I was horribly outnumbered." "Thank you, miss!" He smiled. He bowed his head and disappeared into the trees, avoiding the road as best he could. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Jodee smiled at the man in the stall, noticing a very successful businessman when she saw one. Many people gathered around his stall, eager to see his wares. She greeted him with a simple hello and gazed at his available items. A small gleam caught her eye. She picked up a shiny new dagger with a ruby encrusted in the hilt. "Beautiful dagger, isn't it, miss? It comes from the farthest reaches of Asulon. Its ruby was mined by Urguan himself!" the merchant took no time in trying to make another deal. Thinking his claims were too outlandish, Jodee decided to test the man. "Really? By Urguan himself?" she spoke loudly, examining the blade closer. She noticed a small chip in the ruby and smiled to herself. "Oh yes, miss! I only sell the finest!" "So glass is your finest?" With that, Jo gripped the blade (she noticed its edge was very dull as well) and smashed the hilt against the side of the stall to everyone's amazement and horror. She flipped the dagger around to show the merchant and the gathering people the smashed stone at the end of the weapon. The shopkeeper's face went pale and his brow was covered in sweat. "I don't think rubies break so easily, sir," she said, placing the cheap knife in his hand. "And I don't think you'll be selling much today." Most of the people watching had angry or upset looks on their faces, and many began to leave. The merchant remained silent as his customers left. He watched as the girl with hair as dark as ink disappear into the crowd. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Jo shut the lid of the chest, keeping things as they were. She knew there was loose law in the wilds and she could maybe get away with stealing, but she was no villan. Sure, she could have sold the iron and the sword for a good price, but that wouldn't be fair to anyone living there. She inspected the hut carefully, looking for signs of life. There was a fine layer of dust on most of the furniture, and the food in the hut was old and needed to be thrown out. She stepped outside and examined the exterior of the hut. There were vines crawling up the side of the house and a few cobwebs could be found. She looked up and noted the setting sun. She decided to shelter in the hut, seeing it was unused and safe. She pulled out a piece of dried beef and ate it and an apple for dinner, and then she layed down on the bed on the edge of the one-roomed house. She layed on her side, her back to the wall. Jo looked around the home from her resting place, and her eyes started to droop. She was suddenly awakened by a loud noise outside. She quickly stood up and went to the window. "Spiders..." she mumbled angrily. "I hate spiders." She opened the door and drew her sword, advancing on the monsters. One jumped at her from a tree and she stabbed at it, getting in a few cuts and sending it scurrying into the bushes. Another lept at her from a rock outcropping and bit her. Her next few blows were clumsy and ineffective as the poison set in, but soon the effects wore off and she managed to kill the beast. Tired and worn, she returned to the house and slept the rest of the night in peace. She awoke the next morning, made sure things were the same as they were before, and left for the nearest town or village. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Her usual caution and wariness were put to the side as she met the strangers. They did not look particularly dangerous, but you could never be sure. Nevertheless, Jodee approached a man who seemed to have not shaven in a few days and looked rather rugged. "Hello, sir. Please, can you direct me to the nearest inn?" "Sure, miss, it's just down this path here. I'll show you," he smiled. Jo noticed that a few of his teeth were missing and started regretting asking him for help. Yet she followed him to the tavern. It wasn't far and they were soon within the walls of the local pub. Jo had a hot plate of freshly grilled chicken in front of her. She ate it quickly and soon only the bones were piled neatly onto her dish. She asked for a glass of milk and listened to the locals chat. Among them was the man who took her to the inn. "... And then the zombies came after me in the forest, and I jumped into the river!" He laughed drunkenly, a loud hiccup escaping his mouth. The men sitting around him thought his story was rather funny and broke out in roaring laughter, though Jodee had no idea what was so funny. Nevertheless, she grinned and enjoyed the local banter. "Need a place to stay the night, ma'am?" The innkeeper asked her from behind the bar. "No thanks, I just need directions to Arethor and some food to take along the way." "Arethor is just north of here, up the main road. I think you may have to swim the river, though, because I think the bridge is out," he warned. Jo nodded and payed for her food, thanked the man for bringing her here (he was still horribly drunk and fell over as she shook his hand), and left the inn. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Jodee smiled widely in excitement and stepped up with some of the men in the town. As the guard went over the volunteers, he spotted her. "Excuse me miss, but I think you are in the wrong place." "Just the opposite, sir, I'm here to assist in the capture of those bandits," she said calmly, looking him in the eyes. He awkwardly looked away, cleared his throat, and directed her away from the volunteers. "Sorry, lady, wouldn't want you to get hurt. The last thing we need is a damsel in distress to go and save." Furious, she glared at him until he returned to the volunteer group. She turned and noticed some sheets hanging on a clothesline and smiled to herself. She would go and fight, even if it meant being a little dishonest. She grabbed a darker sheet and covered her head and body as best she could like a cloak. She then slipped into the crowd and escaped the view of the guard. Soon the group was armed and they marched out the town gates. Jo gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, the adriniline rushing through her veins. This was everything she lived for. Soon they were gathered silently in the woods under the cover of night when the captain of the guard signaled for them to circle around a small campsite, visible only by the campfire still burning in the camp. As they got closer, Jodee could see about seven lumps of cloaks, arms, and legs, some of them snoring horribly. A couple crudely made tents were pitched on the edges of the camp, some of them sloping in dangerously. "Seize them!" The group of fifteen volunteers and guards jumped out from their hinding spots and grabbed the groggy men who were met with an unpleasant surprise. A few grabbed weapons and tried fighting back, but were quickly unarmed and pinned to the ground. The guard that had refused Jo into the group was standing next to a tent, helping a couple of the townsmen hold a brutish looking man, when something stirred inside. Jo drew her blade and rushed forward just in time to save him from the bandit that had been sleeping in the tent and was about to stab him with a spear. "Look out!" She called, dropping her cloak and attempting to hit the bandit with the flat side of her blade. He fell unconscious but alive, a huge red knot on his forehead. "Oh my...," He saw who his savior was and blushed deeply. "Seems I underestimated you, I apologize." The young lady smiled and put a gloved had on his shoulder. "It's alright, friend. Let's get these scoundrels to the jail and celebrate at the tavern with the rest of the group." And so they went on their way, their prisoners in tow.
