  3. Updated once more! The name shall be changed shortly, now that she's a de Bar and also queen ^^
  4. Her Majesty Emelie de Bar would watch with a smile as her lord husband was crowned King of Oren. She puts a hand on her pregnant belly, feeling a wave of assurance. You shall grow up with the best the kingdom can offer, my dearest one, She thought, watching as the masses cleared to go to the palace. I will protect you, no matter what this new dynasty will bring upon us...
  5. Back in their home in Al' Wakrah, Isra Jharar waits on a woolen mat by the door, silently dozing. She awaits her husband to return from the sheep fold, blissfully unaware of the turn of events from the day. The sun sets - the flock without their shepherd, the wife without her husband.
  6. I kinda hate playing a noblewoman during war because we aren't allowed to leave our castles or go and fight, but when we want to rp, someone's always preoccupied with pvp wars or raids or irl stuff. So we're stuck being bored and if we run away or talk to the wrong people, everyone gets pissed about it. Gr.

When I was Konigin I helped manage the kingdom while my Konig was campaigning, which is definitely a thing that happened at least a little. Offer to help out with handling the taxes or oversee building plans, for example.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys. I sensed a little bit of saltiness from some, but most were good suggestions. :)

  7. Added a theme for Emelie ^^ It'll probably change/I'll accumulate more songs, but for now this shall be hers. Still working on the journal, I'm wayyyyy behind on it, though.
  8. If you're tempted to steal my skins and edit them yourself, don't. Just ask me to do it. I probably have the base and it'll look much better editing it that way than trying to do it yourself. Whoops... :P But seriously, Gleeshers makes amazing skins!
  9. It didn't win my freedom... but alas, it was one of the most glorious moments in my LOTC career.
  10. Updated! I added a list of relations and a theme song and Emelie's journal are coming soon! If I missed you in the relations, please let me know. Thanks to everyone who reads this bio!
  11. Emelie de Sola scowls at the Adrian response to the king's letter. "They act like their Britannus is babe getting kicked around in the streets - pah! Meanwhile, my poor brother Clement is still a prisoner of the Vladovs, actively being tortured by the hypocritical scum. He didn't even fight the scoundrels and yet they torture him for a crime he did not commit. Curse the Vladovs and curse the weakling Vanirs who kiss their boots!" She sits back, wadding up the paper and throwing it into the fire.
  12. I would also like to be added to the waiting list if possible ^^ Your artwork is quite beautiful.
  13. Thank you, I quite like my new golem as well. He's pretty nifty to have.
  14. Back in Dour Watch, Emelie de Sola reads a copy of the proclamation, a slow and satisfied smile spreading across her lips. In one fluid and graceful motion, she sweeps over to her desk and pulls a piece of paper and her quill towards herself, starting to write. Dear George Staunton, I have read your proclamation of loyalty and have heard of the plight of your family. I also had the opportunity to meet your daughter in Felsen the other day. I've heard much about your family as of late, and you can consider me quite interested in learning more. I wish to speak to your and yours at your earliest convenience, if you would accept. If you would like to send me word of where I could locate your residence or if you can visit Dour Watch, it would be much appreciated. I look forward to meeting you, Mr. Staunton. Sincerely, Emelie de Sola, daughter of the Baron of Dour Watch After finishing her letter, she quickly seals the letter with deep red wax - the mark upon it a rearing stallion. She calls a messenger to her room and sends him off with the letter before sitting back in her chair.
  15. After having moved to the royal palace from Dour Watch for her own protection, Emelie de Sola once more returned home after having witnessed first-hand the assassination of the pontiff and the justicar. The images still flashed through her mind - it all happened so fast... The palace was not as safe as her father and brother had thought, and Emelie would not stand staying in such a place with murderers on the loose. When the event happened, there was no one around - all the guards were gone... there was an accomplice or two in the palace to help discard the bodies and help the assassin evade capture... it was all too well planned. There was only one present there with them all - but surely it was not him. It couldn't be him...

  17. A note would be received via messenger from Dour Watch, reading as follows: To the Ladies de Savoie and de Bar, It is my deepest displeasure to inform you that I and my House will not be able to attend your event. I personally was looking forward to it very much, but unfortunately the situation here at Dour Watch is too pressing for us to go. We send our deepest apologies and the best of luck for the success of the masquerade. Sincerely, Emelie de Sola, on behalf of Baron de Sola and his House
  18. Upon hearing news of the masquerade, Emelie de Sola smiles. "Finally! I will finally get to do something feminine for once rather than watching the men preparing for war. Being the only lady in Dour Watch is rather lonely." She quickly settles at her desk, writing out a few commissions for a gown to wear for the night. ((Will apply later for attendance stuff, if it's required.))
  19. Just wondering: what are the benefits of having cooking as one of your professions?

  20. Emelie de Sola sits next to her brother's bed in a chair, eyes watching his sleeping form. After changing his bandages again and giving him milk of the poppy, he had quickly fallen asleep. She reached a hand over and brushed some of his golden hair away from his pale forehead, like a mother would do for her child. Reluctantly, she sat back and rubbed the side of her face - dark circles under her eyes and a tired look on her face. She had sat by his side and not left it since he was stabbed brutally by the Golden Crows. Her eyes flickered to a book on Augustus' bedside table. She gently picked it up and flicked open the cover, taking up a quill and ink. Slowly, she began to write in her journal. "They have my brother Clement. The Crows, who were sent by the Vladovs, have stabbed my brother Augustus - and probably would have assassinated me and my father had we been present. I was clubbed and drowned outside Brelus. This... treachery, and blatant disregard of the King's Law, must come to an end. The Vladovs bringing in allies, attacking on neutral ground, and raiding us every day to every other day makes me grow furious. When they come, they throw insult after insult at me specifically, since I am the only lady here. Those sick bastards have not a shred of honor among any of them. And I will make them pay for it all - damn the Vladovs and all who support them. I will not rest until their corpses are buried under the dirt - if we allow them that small mercy." With that, she lay aside the journal open to let the ink dry, took up her vigil once more, and waited for Augustus to awaken once more.
