-The Tuairnear Family-
“The Fire to the Ice”
-History-
The History of Clan Tuairnear is traced back to the First Ildonian Age, when Didacus I and his three sons, Cormac, Horas, and his eldest, Cassius followed Elendil to the far north. Upon this, they helped prepare and build the ships for the planned sailing. After the several months of preparation, they set sail to the Adunian Isle. Traveling inland, they finally reached a landscape that satisfied Elendil, to which they would build Ildon. When Ildon was finally done, the Adunian Lords hand picked Clan Tuairnear to receive an Earldom, where they would grow in numbers to be quite wealthy and popular.
Upon the death of Didacus I, his heir, Cassius took the throne of their Earldom, however was well known for being a ruthless, cruel leader. When the Great War of Al’Ildic began, Cassius joined upon the side of the rebels. Only seeing disgust in his brother, Cormac and Dunryn snuck out at the night, taking any other small clans they could, to join the Adunian Regiment. Cassius’s wife was assassinated by the revolting Adunians still left in their Earldom, and when the Adunian Regiment arrived, they besieged the one standing city. After four months, the city fell, as did Cassius, leaving Cormac as Clan Elder.
Clan Tuairnear then resided in Ildon, where Cormac Tuairnear wedded a commoner and had five sons, and three daughters. Soon after this, however, Dunryn who was in the Rangers was lost to the orcish warband that they tracked for days at end. Soon after, when the undead began their invasion, Cormac and two of his sons who were of age stood in the battlements to defend Ildon. Cormac fell in the war, as did his second son, Daeron. His heir however, Didacus the second managed to overcome the battle and flee when all hope was lost with his family and the other Adunians who made it out. As they reached the coast, there were many Adunian Clan’s already setting sail. Some however, kindly offered to take Clan Tuairnear across to mainland.
Reaching Asulon, the Tuairnear’s departed from Elendil, taking few Adunian women fit to remain the pure blood line of Tuairnear. They lived in Oren, transporting few valuables that they sold to afford a decent home. Soon later, hearing that Artorus Elendil was granted a county, they moved there, selling their house and all. They did everything they could to help Elendil, coming upon the Sixth era.
In this time, the Clan Tuairnear fought with the Elendil`s against Oren. Though, battles have a cost. This wiped out most of their Clan, leaving Didacus III on the throne and demoting them to a family. They however, were loyal towards Thorenir. Staying with him, helping to defend off Torrhen and his men from trying to steal the throne. Though Didacus disliked Thorenir very much, he stuck with him until his banishment. Being disliked by Harrion, Didacus made a quick decision to join with Torrhen, who welcomed him openly. Through the years to come, the Tuairnear family slowly dissolved and Didacus III fell in battle. Cassius II, his twin brother, disappeared after taking the throne, along with all the others, only to return in Kalos.
