  3. Monks need a new wiki guy. Anyone on wiki team down?

  4. Im sad to see the sweet spawn temple go, goodbye spawn
  5. Already tried this, and I spoke to pandan about it in the past, also we were planning on doing it anyway. More upset that there was no temple at spawn whatsoever, as there has been every map. But you're right... I am going to figure it out another way. Either way, the post was more about the past of our guild and staff.. as dramatic as it was. we have never agreed on just about anything, it's getting harder and harder to manage the guild because of it.
  6. You're speaking of the area above spawn correct? If that's the case.. I spoke to Pandan, he said he was not sure about Monk presence at spawn this time. A Cloud temple was not "worked into the build", none of those structures were designed for our guild, nor could we work with staff to communicate our needs before we switched over.
  7. Yeah I heard something like this too.. -edit- Oh it's accepted? Nice!
  8. -Will work it out some other way... snip-
  9. No cloud temple this time?

I thought the whole spawn was cloud temple.

Monks revive people in one place, we call it the Cloud Temple. There is usually always a temple at spawn made of sandstone.

Mayhaps these ruins predate the CT monks. They may have to build their own CT.

  10. The Monks say a prayer and let the soul pass...
  11. I think you did a great job, thank you for supporting this community.
  12. See, this was the idea.. but what happened is new players joined the server, and lost interest because they didn't exactly want to join a nation. Some people like being independent, I did when I started, many of us did. It's silly to take basic freedoms away just so your nation can have a little more roleplay. Lotc isn't a factions server, people have a right to do what they want and create their own adventures with their friends or whoever outside of a nation, and freebuild lands might make it possible for them to do that and have a good or at least better start in lotc as a new player. Vailor did it wrong, I think it is the idea you mentioned that made it like this for new players. It doesn't work, trying something different is ideal.
  13. I hope everything works out. Just remember what happened in the Fringe with freebuild. Small towns were fine, but people had these HUGE castles that went inactive 2 days after they were built. Even the small towns cluttered lots of the land when they went inactive, but the community was much more open to new players.. When new players had freedom they could be creative, being a hermit is only interesting for so long, eventually the new players that will likely settle in the freebuild lands would find their place among nations and guilds respectively. So I'm hoping see that back in the community with this, at least. I was one of those hermits with a really small rp group long ago , then I found the Undead and the Monks after that. I like that nations are presented as hubs for rp, and that those are not freebuild. No matter how it goes, it is good that you are trying to make changes that will help the server. As a new player, nations were really daunting. I didn't want to get involved with any of them until I had a good sense of what was going on in the server. I notice that lots of new players will end up joining the server and never end up playing again after they play for a few hours. At least in Vailor this problem has been larger than it was before in previous maps, I figure freebuild zones will give these players some kind of freedom to get started up in the world, I like this a lot.
  14. Any support is appreciated, I'm sure this road we are picking is going to be a struggle..
  15. Looks like I missed a little something, I will make a quick edit. -edit- I hope that is better, I honestly think I will always feel uncomfortable with my ideas when it comes to Resurrection. Still open to changing this but so far this is the best I've got.
  16. Yeah we exist, these last few years have been hard for us but I'm attempting to change that now. We have been completely inactive since they removed us and brought us back again a few months ago, we just owe it to all the people who gave us their support to try something different with the guild, something that will actually make the server a little more fun I hope. And again, sorry for that. I thought spike wrote that, but I wasn't ever sure.

  18. I would love to see this on the server, very good work, very creative. Some things need touching up, leave revival to Monks ;) , but other than that +1~
  19. *crossing fingers*

  20. There are two spells a Monk will use to revive people. Soul Blink (Kinda like teleportation but really it's super speed), and Ressurection. Soul Blink is how the body gets to the temple anyway, so no matter where we place our main temple, revival will make sense in the spawn area the map makers choose. Revival doesn't occur in the spawn room, it happens in the temple and the Monk will bring the person to the crypt or whatever the spawn room is using soul blink before they wake up after being ressurrected. (This is how it's always been.)
  21. We will always be working at the cloud temple, but our guild needs a better place to operate if we are to survive through the next map. Basically housing, farm, crypts, library. The stuff we've always had that we didn't really get in Vailor after we came back. I'd love to place the main monk temple at spawn but as you can tell that didn't seem to work out, so probably how it's going to work is we have 2 temples, like in Anthos.
  22. Nope, not really. We are a guild like the druids or ascended, we deserve a reasonable place to operate. And they don't want to give us anything bigger near the temple, we are asking for a different location for the good of the guild.
  23. The Monks are looking to find a different location, away from the temple for 5.0. Anyone here know who I should ask about that?
