Silvyr, standing conveniently close behind Valorin, Ikur, and Meanor, muttered something directed at Valorin. "How can you challenge the Maheral if you cannot win an election?"

The Sacred Journey Of Asioth Silvyr and Amberleigh's Pilgrimage to At'Ei ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Path We Share The hollow walls of Karina’siol were especially lackluster today to the loving duo. Their minds sought something else besides beauty. They sought the unknown, the mystery of Asioth, and the teachings of the Great Titan. Azdromoth, through Keledan, said they must know it, yet here they were with only two questions to guide them, and a vague arrow in the south-western direction of the continent. Only minutes had passed since their task was granted, and bags were already packed full of provisions and water, rope and tools, and small tents folded neatly on the sides of each pack. They delayed none, and set off past the gates that protected their beautiful and everlasting motherland. Time was of the essence, both Amberleigh and Silvyr figured this on their own. Knowledge, immortality, and the favor of the Titan’s eyes were over the horizon for them both. They were taking their first steps yet again, but were so much closer than they were before. Where they were going, neither of them knew. Guided only by their hearts, and desires, did they continue. The minutes turned to hours, hours to days, and days to weeks. Crossing the continent proved more of a challenge than originally anticipated, forcing the duo to enter foreign lands and forage for food and water, the seeds of all life. “In the hands of the Titan, we are safe.” They told themselves, giving every experience, no matter how humiliating, a much greater meaning. Nevertheless, In the single spirit and practice of botany, they sought out nature's sustenance and nutrition for each day of their journey, thus finding on the ground and on the high branches of luscious forest trees the richness of the earth. The time for questioning was over for them, now their hearts were set on trust. Trusting the experience, trusting the word of Keledan, and trusting themselves that their path was the correct one. This simple philosophy of trust, and devotion made this journey something much greater than originally anticipated. For them, this was new life being breathed into their stubborn ‘thill minds. A new perspective on life itself. Past the ocean, they reached the East Fleet. And for days past that, they finally reached the lands of Krugmar. From Krugmar, they reached Idol’s Garden, and finally they took their refuge on the coastline of Elvenesse, with the mangroves over the horizon. Scouring the earth for plants they could eat gave them enough provisions to last, and so they made camp. Hours went by and night fell, with the campfire raging on strong. The two, holding hands, sat beside the fire and looked into the flame. “In the hands of the Titan, we are safe.” They repeated this mantra to themselves, and to each other when doubt was seen in either’s eyes. Naturally, they were raised to question all things, yet this to them was different. In the first days of their journey, they spent hours upon hours arguing while dissecting the questions that were asked. How does one create himself? What is Immortality, if time is finite? However as the days passed, they realized this was the approach that would bring the most grief, pain, and suffering. They learned to trust the process, the path, and the words given to them for what they were. And so, after meditating through the night together, and allowing this trust to satisfy their souls and hunger for understanding, they chopped a tree together, and carved a boat that could take them across from the shores of Elvenesse to the Mangroves. There they searched, from tree to tree, searching it’s roots and the damp land beneath for their final destination, At’Ei. After another day’s search, they had found it. Descending the spiral staircase, the pair found themselves in a strange shrine, one lacking detail besides the runes on the walls, and the colors that separated the room in two halves. This place did not come without emotion and feeling however, their souls were filled upon entering this sacred place. Curiosity, faith, trust, love, and endurance. The principles they learned on the journey came together in feeling upon each taking their rest. Silvyr sat on the side of red, and Amberleigh the side of white, holding hands to connect themselves as their eyes shut, and the meditation began to unlock their final answers. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Silvyr’s Vision Silvyr sat there with his legs crossed. His left hand rests on his knee, with his right intertwined with Amberleigh’s. This connection, for him, acted as a way to see both sides of the shrine with closed eyes. The red represented something, and the white as well. Inhaling slowly, in patterns of seven seconds to inhale, and seven to exhale, his mind opened, and his consciousness expanded. The world around him no longer existed in his perception of it, and his mind was blank. Hours passed without knowing, and the question finally arose in his mind, in the voice of Keledan, “How does one create himself?”. Visions clouded Silvyr’s mind now. That of a seed growing into a tree. He watched fingers dig into the dirt, planting a seed that grew only from the annual rain that showered the earth. Each year, this tree grew, shaped by the wind, and the animals that took refuge in the branches it created. Antlers brushing the bark, creating scars. This was out of the tree’s control, yet it continued to grow, and shape into its own self. The tree had no control over circumstance. It was planted in the earth where the man wanted it to be. This was an intentional act that led to this new world being created. The tree grew towards the sun, the branches stretched upwards for the light. But the tree had no mind, it was a vessel of trust for the environment, and the circumstances. This trust let it grow, and the light above provided. Then, a baby was born from a mother. Crying and without sight yet. This was not the baby’s choice, but this was circumstance and chance. New life, a new perspective. A perspective that was shaped by those around, and the experience he gained as he grew. The perceptions of those experiences, and the guiding hand of role models that came and went. It was these role models with their own perceptions of reality who shaped his own like clay, yet it was him who gave the clay it’s moisture, not the teachers. It was the desire to grow and learn, and the willingness to be shaped. This is how he was built, and made into the man he became. “A man creates himself, by allowing others to shape him. Circumstance leads him to mentors, and the mentors give him ideas. These ideas can grow, or they can die. Each option leads to growth of some kind. Growth in complacency, or growth in the pursuit of knowledge. Each creates the man, and the man creates both through choice of perception of the lessons he is there to learn. If he is not there to learn from the teacher, then the teacher has nothing to teach, leading to the path of complacency and sometimes ignorance. If the student attends, new ideas are planted and this leads to the path of ambition and knowledge. These are the two paths of life, and the man may choose which to take. Carving himself from two branches, one more than the other, or both equally. The making of this choice is how one creates himself.” ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Amberleigh’s Vision Amberleigh joined Silvyr on the floor, sitting on the white side of the shrine. To her this symbolized her brighter nature, her positive ideals and her kindness to others. She was the other half of Silvyr. He was of a darker nature, more willing to fall into influence and greed, while she was the brighter half. She saw the joy in life for what it was, and was always able to see the light. This white also symbolized her blank slate, and the journey she had begun. Asioth was a new realm of thought she had not yet entered, or approached in any light. And so, she let this side of the room be her inspiration to this new reality she had entered. Her right hand rests in her lap, while the left intertwined with Silvyr’s. Her breathing pattern was her own, in counts of 7 for the inhale and counts of 5 for the exhale. There she found serenity in this structure, and her mind fell to relaxing meditation. Hours went by, and even the heartbeat in the pure elfess’ ears faded. Amberleigh’s mind was blank, until it wasn’t. Her mind was clear now, showing pictures to her, a new perspective. She was running through the woods like a gazelle from a hunter. But she was running from something else, an idea that plagued her mind. A darkness that followed her everywhere, that replaced more of the light with each second. Her body was engulfed with flames, a haunting memory that became her own reality. However the flame didn’t burn, and even in her visions she knew it was symbolic. The light that shone from these flames were the only light that illuminated her immediate surroundings. The rest of the forest around fell to the darkness, with only one tree left being close enough to see. This tree however, was unlike the others. The tree had two stocks, intertwining to make a single tree. These stocks had their own colors, one of gold and one of white. Her ears were filled with the tree's mournful crackling sound, sending a message into the air around her. The golden stocks suffocated the tree, embodying the insatiable thirst of nations for trivial pursuits, while the white stocks comforted it in its last hours, carrying enlightenment and new beginnings to the earth and its observer. However, despite the meaning of the two stocks and the different branches, the entire tree was rotting, and the leaves were falling off, carrying golden seeds in all directions. These were carried into the sky, until the sky itself was colored with shining gold travelling to new destinations. These seeds carried the will of the tree, but not it’s history. They had their right to make their own. Some went up to the heavens, some fell to the earth to become trees themselves. To her, the rotting tree was a body, while the seeds were it’s consciousness and will. And now, she felt she understood the question. She had the answer she desired to find in this place. Her vision faded, and her eyes opened. “Immortality can only be attained if both consciousness and will are transferred to others. There is will that is ascending in a given body, reaching far beyond the limits of time itself, for it can be seeded into a new life regardless of how many years elapse after a body dies, which is but an eventual consequence. Nevertheless, will can be carried over to others. Ideals remain throughout generations, and if they prove to be sufficiently strong, they grow eternal throughout the ages. This, I see, is Asioth, which represents the Titan's will and deliverance. We are all but seeds that are planted on fertile ground, growing and rising into the very trees that provide foundation for our children, and students alike.” ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Progress is the Republic VII: Okarir'hiylun
Keldrith replied to - Pastry's topic in Silver City of Taliyu'lin
Prince of Malinor, Elrion Visaj! The middle aged prince approaches the square, and stands up on a bench near the gathered crowed. There, was an unknown goblin holding oversized flashcards for him to read off of while he gave the speech. Long has been the day that Haelun'or awaited the return of it's beloved Prince, and today was his day to shine once and for all, for the sake of Purity, and Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya. Without much delay, the freshly tanned prince extends his arms out as if accepting all the angels into his life, and the praise he thinks he has, and begins his speech. Looking down at the flashcards with his upside-down sunglasses, Elrion started reading. "My old friend- I mean lliran! I have returned to Haelun'or for the sake of taking up this council position! I would love to reignite the flame that brought this city justice, and everlasting peace, by once again running for Okarir'tir!-" The Goblin halted the turning of flash cards, and started to panic, shouting something at the innocent Prince in blah. "W-What are you saying? This isn't the place to run for Okarir'tir? This is Okarir- Okarir'hiylun you say? Why am I even here Chiru? Stupid kid... Making you was a mis- ANYWAY!" Elrion continued his speech, now using his own mind rather than the flash cards. "Well that works too! I will run this city and it's housing into a greater age! There will be bath houses that stretch for miles! And we will find a way to stuff fourteen people into a singular apartment! This is what I can promise you, Haelun'or... Will you take it?" Elrion walked off, retreating straight to the tavern. -
Firstly, Werewolf is based. But I do want to say that given the current iteration of Azdrazi, an accepted article of lore, this rewrite caters to all of the complaints about the race. An entire week of not playing my main character would be a real pain, I would say that’s a giant weakness that cannot be underestimated or underplayed. It affects the encounters we put ourselves in, the combat situations more specifically, and effectively gives us a fear that we have to live with daily. If that is not a weakness I truly don’t know what is. If anything, this rewrite serves to prove that the Azdrazi as a whole hear the community, and are willing to change and adapt based on constructive criticism. Honestly, I am happy to stay strong asf and simply use the current lore, but this rewrite is necessary to us because we care, and not enforced by the lore team. I’d say compared to the current iteration that is accepted, the new rewrite is more than enough to appease those who disliked the current combat abilities. In a combat situation, an evocationist (with the exception of fire mages) would have a very fair chance of defeating an Azdrazi now, given the new weaknesses and some removal of certain abilities as a whole.

Nuala Uradir: The Tale of a Megalomaniac
Keldrith replied to FlemishSupremacy's topic in Silver State of Haelun'or
”The bane of the Uradir Talonnii...” Silvyr muttered under his breath as he read the missive, shaking his head slightly and saying to those around him, ”Do not look upon this one as an Uradir. She will never amount to any of us, even the children. Every tree has a bad apple, and she just so happens to be the Uradir’s. Ignore this one, cast her out and shun her, for the mistakes and crimes she made against not only her own Talonnii as the Silver Wordsmith, but to the City, spitting on the Republic only moments after it’s creation, sitting on the Diarchy throne... Let us not forget, this woman once almost married Dimaethor Visaj, but even he was wise enough to see her flaws. To appoint a known Diarchist to Okarir, would be one of the Republic’s greatest mistakes.” The Uradir concluded, walking away in shame. -
I just wanted to work on monks man, because I know far more than you ever will about the group. Shutting me out from something I partially created and made what it is today, has made me resent you not only as a person but an administrator as well, not to mention all the manipulation and drama you caused me back when you first joined the server. People with terrible social skills, and people who hold grudges forever, shouldn’t be an Admin that has control over many other people and their experiences. Clearly it wasn’t just me who has had a terrible time because of you. There are many many people, far too many I should add, who have come out against your personality and quality of management. I will have lost all faith in this server if you are not removed from your position, especially after such an outcry from the community for your removal.

Silvyr Uradir’s Resignation [!] A missive is stapled to the bulletin board with an Uradir Butterfly used as a stamp to keep it hung tightly on the wall of notices. The words were crafted with fine penmanship, fit for the renowned Uradir Talonnii. Posted for all to see, it would easily be noticed when standing in the square and the news from the missive would spread throughout the city quickly. Citizens of Haelun’or, I reluctantly announce my resignation from Okarir’maehr. In the past few years I have let the city down with the lack of lectures. Although this writing contest was meant to make amends for my absence, I feel it was not enough and thus it is time for me to hand off the mantle to the next worthy Okarir’maehr, whoever the republic decides it should be. I have recently found my hands full with two children, my wife, and my commitment to the Azdrazi/Mali’thill alliance and partnership. And I will choose to focus on such and lead the efforts of bringing our two cultures together, for the sake of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. To me, in Larihei’s vision we were always meant to find the next step towards purity. Infinite life and greater physical power and greater physical appearance. So, I will continue to study the Azdrazi and Azdromoth alike, hoping to bring a greater age for our people. I would like to thank my wife Amberleigh, for being my greatest supporter from the day I ran for Okarir’maehr, to the day I resign. She has been a wonder in my life, bringing me joy beyond belief. I have changed greatly in her presence and through our continued prosperous relationship. She has made great sacrifices for me, and I can not thank her enough for all of them. I would also like to thank my children, for being a shining light in my life. They are the reason I continue to live today, and continue to study diligently for their future and mine. Although my days of being on the council are marked over as of now, I will continue to reside in the Silver City, with my successful Talonnii. It has been a dream come true to serve the state as an Okarir’maehr, I thank you all for giving me the opportunity, attending my lectures, and continuing to have a love for knowledge. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya.

Silvyr Uradir allowed a soft sigh to escape his pursed lips as he read his brother’s resignation. He departed home, finding his way to his study table and open notebook. Picking up his pen, he formulated a response and a letter to his only blood brother. Dear Muriel, The Uradir will always be a Talonnii looked up to in history, all should strive to be like Kalenz in some way. And you achieved his skill in politics in such a short amount of life. You dedicated your time to the council, and for that I am forever proud of you. It seems we as a Talonnii are growing in our own ways and nobody will ever blame you for taking your own path. Without you, it is unlikely I would have run for Okarir’maehr initially, and because of your support I achieved one of my longest lasting dreams in running the city’s education initiative. You were a great leader, and by far a greater mal’onn. I hope to see you soon, but if I don’t, I bid you safe travels, and good luck on whatever path you lead now. You have my full undying support, Muriel. Your Loving Mal’onn, Silvyr Uradir. The Uradir folded his paper in half, and tucked it into the sleeve of an envelope. He walked down to the mailbox with a somber stomp, and placed it in to send it off when the next courier came by to take it.

THE BALLOT ((MC name: Keldrith )) Name: Silvyr Uradir Vote for Sohaer: (xx ) Anethra Uradir ( ) Eredael Rhenaer

Silvyr Uradir The Okarir’maehr Silvyr Uradir strolls out into the square, a proud yet competitive look stains his visage as he walked up the two steps by the main gate, turning to greet those in the square and give a short statement. As was usual for him, he dipped his hands into his deep robe pockets and let out a deep and prolonged sigh, without his expression waning. Shortly thereafter, the Uradir outstretched his hands to grab the attention of any mali’thill gathered in the square. “I would like to first say, elSohaer Nelgauth Maehr’tehral was a dear friend of mine for most of my life. He has been a mentor, and much like a Maln-figure to me, ever since I first arrived here in elCihi. Since then, Nelgauth Maehr’tehral counciled Amberleigh and I before our marriage, and was even the one who gave the blessing at the wedding, and allowed my beautiful wife and I to live together as a married couple. All that said, he was a firm believer and advocate for Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. And would not want our beloved bastion to suffer in his absence. So, in the light of the Republic and Democracy, I would like to publicly endorse Anethra Uradir.” Silvyr smiled as he looked to those gathered, though his eyes were dead serious. Soon, the Uradir’s hands would fall out of his pockets and would grip each other behind his back in a solemn and kind way. The Okarir’maehr looked at each ‘thill in the eyes, to give the impression he was speaking to each person as a single, rather than a group. “Anethra Uradir is my Lari’onn, and was my first friend when I first came to live in elCihi over one-hundred years ago. Although the current public may not be very updated on who my dear Lari’onn is, I would like to be the first to introduce you to her. She has led the Uradir Talonnii for countless years. When I left to travel, I left the Uradir Talonnii to Silir Uradir, and Anethra alone. Silir betrayed the name, and Anethra was the one who took the position of Laurir. Well many years passed by since then, and when I returned to elCihi I was delighted to see my own Talonnii in a stronger position than ever. This was, in my opinion, due to Anethra Uradir’s leadership. But that is not the only reason why I firmly believe she is a good leader for us all, in fact there are many. For startes, Anethra has a knack for foreign relations. And has an open mind when it comes to those new to the city. She finds a use for everyone she meets, and truly cares about the well-being of people she meets, and craves their success. She is the only person I can think of that can lead the Mali’thill forward. It is known that for the past few years our culture and people have grown stagnant. Aside from a few college classes, and snail racing, Haelun’or has not been a very exciting place, and the common theme is ‘thill not knowing what to do next. With Anethra Uradir as Sohaer, I feel strongly each person will be guided to find their calling. One that will not only be beneficial to the state, but also to each person’s happiness. Anethra Uradir has dedicated her entire life nearly to the Uradir Talonnii, and ensuring we are all healthy, happy, and thriving. She has made herself and the Talonnii in turn very wealthy, she has given us a happy home, and has led us into the state we Uradir are in now. It is without a doubt, that the progress of the Uradir Talonnii has been watched by everyone with wide eyes. And with Anethra taking care of the state the way she does the Talonnii, that same progress will soon be shared among each person in the city. I conclude by saying there is only a single correct choice for Sohaer, and that is Anethra Uradir. She has council positions under her belt already, she has been Larurir of the strongest Talonnii in Haelunor, and has been a great friend to almost everyone who gets to know her. Be warned, the progress will come so swiftly we as a people will barely be able to blink without noticing only positive changes. A vote for Uradir this election is a vote for Experience, Purity, Health, and Stability.” With that, the Okarir’maehr dipped his head solemnly to the crowd and made his way down the few steps. Soon, he departed to the Uradir Manor to rest and drink wine with his wife.

THE BALLOT ((MC name: Keldrith )) Name: Silvyr Uradir Vote for Okarir’maehr: (XX) Silvyr Uradir ( ) Andria Aldin
-
Silvyr Uradir Silvyr Uradir made his way up the steps once again, having formulated a response to his political opponent, Andria Aldin. He inhales sharply through his nostrils, and spoke with confidence and calmness, to prove he felt no pressure from her. “I without a doubt do not wish for stagnation when it comes to the library, and the laboratories. However, there are those who have been working closely on these subjects for quite some time. And the last thing I want to do is announce changes that may or may not drive them off. It is in my best interest and the city’s that there is cooperation among us. One of these figures include Silvos Sythaerin, the previous Okarir’maehr. As I understand it, he has a vested interest in the laboratories. And before making any changes I want to ensure we are on the same page. I am not saying I will grow lazy or complacent. But I feel the people will understand that, and know I should not be on the defense here. I have proven to many if not the entire city that I am capable, dedicated, and have a strong passion for knowledge, and the pursuit of progress. Whether it be with my documentation of recent events, or the studies on the mysterious orb, or my constant struggle to help the people understand who I truly am, and what I represent. They know my true motives, because I have revealed them my entire life. I am an open book, and I am nothing if not totally honest. Especially when speaking in a public format such as this.” Silvyr looked disgruntled, based on the accusations Andria threw at him, but he regained his composure shortly thereafter, deciding it was time to fight back in his own way. “The question should truly be directed at you, Andria. You have not announced any unique changes since you have taken the stage. I have introduced the idea of public classes, free and open to everyone. I have proposed a removal of formal enrollment, promising to allow everyone to feel included in my and other’s lectures. I have proposed a different curriculum, focusing on the pillars of Mali’thill society. I feel strongly that all of these changes will be welcomed ones, and noticed ones. I cant help but feel the only relevant thing you have brought to the table is a ‘book club’ which I would be happy to participate in, I might add. But you must see the differences here, I have a thought out plan, I have the will for the position. I know what I’m going to do before I get there, and I have been totally transparent with the public about everything thus far. You have only said that if you gain the office, you will ‘figure out what’s wrong, and have it changed.’ I am not saying these things with ill will towards you, but I know for a fact the education system will prosper under my protection, and based on your speeches I can’t have that same faith in you that I have in myself. I don’t wish for you to feel attacked, because I truly wish to work together in the future, regardless of the outcome of the election. You have a strong spirit, and are clearly passionate about being an educator. And that is something I respect greatly in you.” The Uradir took a deep breath, bowing to the crowd before stepping down. He crossed his arms in a frustrated manner as he awaited Andria’s response, if she decided to make one.

Silvyr Uradir Silvyr Uradir rests after the long and tedious battle in the confines of the Uradir Manor. He called a servant to bring him tea, as he wrote down and finished the notes from the recent battle only hours ago. As he sipped his tea, he reclined in the chair ever so slightly, balancing on the back two legs as he looked to his wife Amberleigh. She offered his infant son, baby Thalion to him, but he didn’t care to hold the child, opting to continue writing of the recent experiences instead. When he finished, he rolled out the parchment and made his way into the square, posting it onto the bulletin board for those who may have missed the battle to educate themselves on the encounter. Into the Maw - The Motherland’s Great Battle of 1777 13th of the First Seed, 1777 It was a usually sunny and cold day in Haelun’or, and yet again we have witnessed some mysterious yet almost mystical phenomenon. It took a while to notice, but we all stopped hearing the trees, the animals, and any life outside of the walls. Almost as if a sound proof cage was placed over our heads without us realizing it. Before long, the earth bursts with a slimey, disgusting yet incredibly large worm like creature, in the courtyard of the Eternal Library. Celiasil Uradir, the Okarir’tir and his Sillumir rushed to the scene. And the citizenry followed suit. The figures on the front lines included Celiasil, Muriel Uradir, Ikur Sullas the Maheral, Ithil’ti Elibar’acal, and Lobuu Reyorwyn. The Okarir’tir shouted a command to advance, while the abomination of a worm also started inching closer. The creature’s mouth was lined with rows of twisting teeth, like a sharp vortex that would shred anything to dust before reaching whatever digestive system it had. The descendants of the followers of Larihei made their attack. The ranged fighters were holding the choke point, while the melee fighters swung at the monster with coordination and honed skill. At first, it looked as if the beast had no chance whatsoever. As they fought, Lobuu made a remark, “Why do I keep ending up in these kinds of places?” He said with little emotion showing in his voice. “Because you’re Sillumiran, it’s what we do!” The Okarir’tir replied in a shout, preparing himself for the giant worm’s counter offensive while the Kharajyr known as Ri’Haskir’Kul fired the ballista from the top of the Eternal Library, sending a large and deadly projectile towards the worm, who absorbed it but most certainly was damaged. The giant worm made it’s counter attack, absorbing the blows dealt to it by the Mali’thill below. Despite their efforts, only minimal damage was inflicted. The worm lunged towards the front lines, attempting to scoop all of the men fighting it up into it’s maw, all in one movement. Although very large, the worm was not the fastest enemy, giving the Sillumiran ample time to dodge. A loud order came from the Okarir’tir. “Break!” He commanded, as he himself dodged out of the way. taking Lobuu with him. In a swift movement, Celiasil jabbed his spear into the worm, hoping to do some more damage, as little as it was. Only moments later, the Ri’Haskir’Kul fired the ballista once more, however the ammunition was clearly different and magically enhanced. The bolt had a golden streak, and was bright like lightning due to the Paladin infused magic effort. The ‘thill known as Effile did her best, whittling into the dirt to drive the worm away, hoping it’s primal instincts would tell it a mole is trying to dig up it’s home. Yet this did not work either, to my surprise. With more attacks, the worm was slowly whittled down. From an observatory view, it is clear the worm dug up into the city unintentionally, and the Sillumir viewed it as a threat to be slain. After many attacks and counter attacks, it was clear the large beast felt cornered. This caused it to lash out even more, lunging at the Maheral and the Okarir’tir. Gretel and one other climbed up a tree branch. The two did their best to mount the worm, Gretel stabbed her sword into it, presumably to gain some leverage. Effile and the other observers did their best to drive the worm back, stomping their hearts out against the hard dirt of the courtyard. Causing light yet noticeable vibration in the ground. Soon later, as more vicious attacks were sent in the worm’s direction, it started to lose its strength and mobility. The bolts from the ballistica sank deeper than before, and from a glance it was clear one finally struck some minor organs in the worm’s thick body. Due to the Paladinic magic being cast on the bolts as they fired, their penetrating power increased. and thus the worm was left defenseless against the weapon that easily broke it’s defense. It was without a doubt that the smaller weapons did some damage, but the ballista manned by Ri’Haskir’Kul was the clear savior of the day, along with the magic used to increase it’s power and damage. At this point, Ikur Sullas the Maheral, and a ‘thill known as Celia were seemingly swallowed up by the maw of the worm, but the mouth was not shut, they were both fighting to survive a gruel fate. With the help of Celiasil the Okarir’tir, using his spear to prop open the worm’s mouth, the Maheral and the other ‘thill were able to survive from the depths of the creature's mouth. To my surprise, it was not the ballistics or Celiasil Uradir who were credited with slaying the beast, but it was the Sillumiran and the citizenry who opted to join in. The constant slashes in the beast’s mid section caused it’s guts, and meals to spill out of it. Along with the life force of the creature. It died there on the cold dirt, blood and guts covered the Mali’thill who watched and especially those who fought. The Maheral was saved, and the day was over. All that was left, was to clean up the mess. The Mali’thill carved chunks out of the beast, and many decided to take the opportunity to study it. Could this be a worm who made it all the way from Athera? What does this spell for the future of Haelun’or, and the continent itself? Clearly, this is the beginning of something more. With all the anomalies occurring only when the orb in the sky began shining, it is hard to imagine the two are not related. It is with certainty that I say there will be more to come, and the battle will be much harder than what the Mali’thill experienced today. But for now, the pure elves returned to their daily lives.

Silvyr Uradir The Uradir listens closely to the entirety of his opponent’s speech, taking in every word and formulating a response as she continued. Though, he was clearly humbled by some of her remarks. With a short look of acknowledgement and admiration, Silvyr stepped into her place after she walked down. He prepared himself mentally to speak publicly again, taking a half second to calm himself with a deep breath before starting. “I must admit, I see great potential in you Andria of the Aldin Talonnii, so I would like to start my reply off by saying, with the passions you have for education, you would make a great professor. And if I get elected, you can feel certain there will be a place for you in a teaching position. Now, I’d like to briefly mention that, according to my new curriculum and structure for lessons, you will have as much time as you need to formulate lectures, thus giving you ample time to study and make books for whatever subjects you are interested in teaching. This would take the weight of blame off of your shoulders should anything go wrong, and I would happily speak on your behalf should issues arise with your lectures. The administrative work required for this position is something I am admittedly very good at, and understand very well. And with all due respect, I think it would be the wisest choice to work with me, rather than against me as a political opponent. I have no doubts that you are somewhat qualified for this job, but I have the history, and the reputation to support my claim to this position on the council. It is what I was destined to do, and I know I will excel with the power bestowed upon me over the Eternal College, the Laboratories and partial responsibility over the Eternal Library, with the assistance of the Tilruir’indor.” Silvyr took a breath, uncertain about the emotions that may resonate with the crowed with his response. However, knowing this was a political environment, he continued onto his next point, knowing it was already said and done with. “Something I have yet to mention is the dominion over the laboratories and the coordination with the Tilruir’indor on the Eternal Library. Now my plans for this are admittedly not as grand as my plans for my main focus, the college. But I would like to mention the subject due to the fact that this does have to do with the Okarir’maehr in a big way. On this topic, I will not be making any great or lasting changes for a short time. I will have to speak with those who have been responsible for the last couple of years, and get a feel for the environment and their responsibilities. To ensure I don’t upset anyone who may help me in that regard, all I can say is the library and the laboratories will be handled the same way for a year or two, or perhaps longer assuming the advisory roles of those who work on them deem it necessary. When we come up with a plan, if any, then changes will be made accordingly. And we will all see progress in that regard as well, that much I can assure you all. With that said, my ideas now for the laboratories are similar to that of Silvos Sythaerin, the late Okarir’maehr. They should be used for various tasks, such as magic practice, alchemical studies, or even experimental smithing. But something I can promise is that these labs will be maintained more regularly, and checked often for activity.” Silvyr stepped down once again, awaiting any response from Andria or any other opponents who may take the ‘stage’.

Silvyr Uradir Silvyr Uradir did his very best to fix his appearance after the brutal beating he had received only days before. Bandages wrapped his arms and his legs, but were mostly hidden under the very fancy attire he wore. Reading the recent announcement, Silvyr immediately started writing out a speech in the comfort of his room at the Uradir Manor. When finished, he stood up in front of the large mirror and started practicing his lines, to ensure he did not miss anything when he finally did it publicly. The next morning, the Uradir walked out of the large bulding, leaving the notes behind, feeling confident in his memory. When he got back into the city, he made his way to the front gate, moving up the stairs and standing before the people of Haelun’or. “Dear Mali’thill, decedents of the followers of Larihei. It is with great pleasure, that I stand before you today to formally announce my campaign to you in person. In the event you did not get the opportunity to read my written announcement, I am happy to reiterate some of the things I said here in this public forum. Now, without further delay, we will get right to the issues at hand, and my reasons for running for the position of Okarir’maehr. Silvos Sythaerin was a fantastic example for what an Okarir’maehr ought to be. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with him in person, and have formulated some different ideas from the ones I mentioned in my written announcement. Of course, the most important part of being an Okarir’maehr is the dedication to the Eternal College. In my opinion, a resource that is not used in the way I feel it should be. And I assure you all, I have great plans to alter the direction of the college on the path it is best suited to be on. Starting with the curriculum, we will be moving the focus to Larihei, Purity, History, and Medicine. To me, these are the four pillars of wisdom and progress, and ought to be the focus for each and every Mali’thill that lives among us in the city. Of course, no force will be applied to ‘thill not interested in participation. My first act as Okarir’maehr will be to remove the enrollment process completely. Instead, the classes will be public and completely free. This includes any books that go along with the lessons. Formal announcements will be made issuing the date and time for lectures hosted by various professors who teach at the Eternal College. However, lessons will be regulated so they are not overbearing or intrusive to our every day lives. Meaning at most, there will be two lessons each common year. Once again, there will be no sign-ups required. Just show up if you are interested in that specific lesson.” The Uradir spoke with an air of calmness, and confidence. He waved his hands around in a way that emphasized certain words and sentences. The golden haired Uradir took a moment to appreciate the attendance of the present ‘thill, knowing this was his chance to prove to them his commitment to the duty he was running for. “Now, I realize many of you who are newer to the city have not had a chance to enroll in any classes under the previous Okarir’maehr. But I’d like to ensure you all, that my driving focus will be those who wish to learn. Meaning the ‘thill who have just recently returned or have finally come to stay with their own race. I will be available throughout each and every day to attend to your questions, and I implore you all to find me if you wish for a impromptu lesson, which I am happy to give on any subject you might be curious about. I have one-hundred and fifty years of constant study under my belt. And my true passion is with education and Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. I have studied my entire life, and have accomplished many things. In my early life, I was a doctor who sold my medicine across the world, amassing a fortune for myself and my Talonnii. I studied medicine for about forty years, then moved on to become a history scholar. I’ve spent time in countless private libraries, different nations and cultures, and even overseas. The last hundred years of my life were spent studying, so I can stand here before you to lead the education effort forward. Once again, nothing that I do will impede on your daily lives, as education should be something that every ‘thill seeks out for themselves. My goal by becoming Okarir’maehr is to ensure that knowledge is within arms reach, and in a position that is always clear to everyone. The college will become a resource that I hope everyone will feel welcomed to use whenever they want. And will also be a place for scholars to hone their teaching skills, to pass on everything they have learned to the next generation, our future. I will conclude this speech by saying I have every ounce of confidence in my people, and know you will all make the educated decision when voting this election. Win or lose, I intend to continue on this path of education until my very last day in this realm. Ahern ito nae’leh.” Silvyr made a grand bow to those watching, and stepped down from the stairs. Awaiting any challengers to arise.

Silvyr Uradir raises himself up in the private room of the Clinic in which he was resting from his burns and other wounds. Mustering enough strength, he reached into his pocket to grab an ink pen, along with the book he had used during the battle to write with. With great haste, he started etching his memories into the book. His fingers bled due to the cracking of his burns, however this did not dampen the pace in which he wrote. This continued deep on into the night, the sun even rose before he finished his extensive documented recollection of the awful encounter. A few days later, after recovering to almost full, the golden haired elf stood up from the bed and walked out into the square, ripping the pages out of the book and posting them on the bulletin board for all to see. A Devastating Blow – The Will of Purity, by Silvyr Uradir Talar’siol Uradir (MIA) Presumed Dead after fighting valiantly against the final abomination, but his body was not found. Maeve Elibar’acal (DEAD) Died to the demonic worm, more details unknown at this time. Alessa Callistee (DEAD) Died after being afflicted by a spell that caused her to lose her sanity. She was found with a devastating head wound that buried deep into her skull. Ellisar Aevaris (DEAD) Was able to land a strong blow on one of the abominations, but his heart was ripped from his chest shortly after. Talar’siol and the Sillumir mentioned that they spotted a mammoth deep in the mountains. They returned to the city for reinforcements, and led us to said location. The journey was long and arduous, but when we arrived the first thing that was immediately noticed was a strange, deformed humanoid being hunched over a seemingly dead maiden. The figure’s claws buried deep into the maiden’s back, as if the poor seemingly human dead woman was now a puppet. Another figure, who looked similar in a grotesque way, was watching some meat burn over the campfire. Apparently, they hadn’t noticed us. By looking out, I spotted two more figures. One very large, much larger than the rest. Probably standing at closer to three meters. The other almost Uruk like, but much more hideous, standing at around a little over two meters. Before we could even figure out what was going on down at the makeshift camp for these beasts, we heard the screams of Maeve Elibar’acal, it was as if she was swallowed whole by the earth itself. We could only hear her suffering from under the heavy rocks. Shortly thereafter, the Sillumir made their march down the hill, while the rest did their very best to figure out how to save the Elibar’acal trapped under the earth. As the brave fighters engaged the first enemy, who seemed to have recently killed a bewildered maiden, the one known as Eredael was also swallowed whole by the earth. Realizing the earth was something to avoid, I climbed up a post not only to save myself, but to get a better view of the encounter. The Sillumir at this point were at blade ends with the abominations that occupied the camp, and more were trying to figure out how to deal with those who had been swallowed by the creatures under the rocks. The Kharajyr known as Ri’Haskir’Kul took it upon himself to fight one of the stronger, fire based monsters. The Uruk-like creature and him were even in strength, at least it seemed that way when the fight started. Using primarily fire-based attacks, and a large scythe, the Kharajyr was able to block most of the damage with his large shield. Hearing Eredael scream, I decided to leap from the post I was standing on and go save him if I was able to. However, when I found the hole that led to him, the beast jumped out from it yelling an evil laugh. It slashed at me, but I jumped back down the hill with nothing but a deep cut on my forearm. In the meantime, Muriel and Anethra Uradir were firing various spells at the creatures down below, and Talar’siol and Celiasil Uradir engaged in sword combat with the same figures. The rest of the Sillumir rallied beside Talar’siol and Celiasil, while the mages stayed on the hill. When I came to, I noticed Muriel was gone from his spot. And nowhere to be seen. Shortly thereafter Anethra started clawing at the ground next to her, making me realize what had happened to Muriel. He was taken by the monster who burrowed under the dirt and rock. Although my arm was bleeding, I found it imperative to save Muriel. So with Anethra I dug in the spot with her, until eventually a small opening was created, enough for our bodies to slip though. I made my way in with a brave ‘thill who I never caught the name of. We traveled a short distance through the small cave, but were cut off by a sudden rock bulging out of the side of the burrow, unable to crawl through I started trying to pry it loose to no avail. Before I knew it, the monster chomped through the dirt and rock, and cast a spell on us. My memory faded at this point, and what acts I had committed under the influence of the spell I am unaware of. I woke up hours later in the clinic with first degree burns covering my body, and small cuts and bruises too. The wound on my forearm was quarterized. Hours later, the rest of the Mali’thill warriors and medics returned. But their numbers were not the same as when we all left together. The first thing Anethra said to me was that Talar’siol had died in battle. Celiasil collapsed onto the ground and got treated for blood in his lungs among other injuries. Muriel was fine, though exhausted with his arm covered in some kind of ichor. I was filled in just a bit, and I suppose the end of the battle drew nearer just after I was taken away. With only one abomination left to fight. It was taken down promptly, and with great energy and strength from my fellow Mali’thill. The Okarir’tir, Celiasil Uradir proved himself to the Sillumiran. He withstood the battle for the entirety of it. Many of his soldiers collapsed, including Talar’siol, but he stood tall and battled on for hours. After the final beast was slain, the people of Haelun’or returned home, brutally wounded and mentally scarred. Many were limping, and most had bandages of some kind wrapped around them. It was clear that none of us were prepared for the demonic encounter, this being proved by the overflow of the clinic. There was just enough medically trained professionals to care for them all, this included Ivoriel Elibar’acal, Dele Seregon, and Maeve Elibar’acal (after returning from the Cloud Temple), Nelgauth Maehr’tehral, Daerine Elibar’acal, Astenia Loralynn, and Lorelei Ill'nir. These medical professionals and apprentices worked around the clock to ensure the casualties were taken care of, luckily under their care none died. However, Alessa Callistee was far too injured to save by the time she arrived. The battle was filled with terror, grief, sorrow, and many more emotions for every Mali’thill who was involved. There seemed to be no end, but alas it did. With many casualties, broken hearts, and bitter ‘thill, returning home was not sweet. Infact, many regret not being able to do more, and some experience post traumatic stress. However, some of these afflictions are sure to be cared for as time goes on by Dele Seregon and her apprentices. Along with the Talonnii of each who suffer from such medical trauma. I will conclude this, by saying the city fought valiantly. We did everything in our power, and not one single person was a coward. We knew our odds were bad, in fact it was apparent that we would lose halfway into the battle. Thankfully we were helped by some other non-mali’thill, who were able to turn the tides of the battle in our last hour. The tragic loss of Talar’siol Uradir, Alessa Callistee, and Maeve Elibar’acal will never be forgotten. The Sillumir suffered a heavy blow, but it was one that will soon be repaired. Both in the hearts and minds of our protectors. The city and it’s people (including me) have seen strange abnormalties in the night sky recently. At first we had concluded it was a mere meteor passing by, but eventually the color trails grew brighter and the movement became erratic and unlike anything falling into the atmosphere. Muriel Uradir made the educated guess that it was Arcane related, and it is now believed that this and the monsters that were spotted are somehow related. More information will be documented as it comes to me, but for now there is nothing more to say. Our hearts and thoughts go out to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us.
