THE PIRATES OF PERTINAX
Robert d’Anpalais and William Jrent stood at the shores of the continent watching as the waves broke on the beach ahead of them, a resting smirk cemented on their face. The sight they were looking at? Ships carrying a black flag painted with the symbol of Pertinax.
Gliding across the ocean-blue, the lead ship finally made contact with the docks. After a few moment’s pause, amidst the cheers of the waving sailors who crawled all over the rigging like apes, a gangplank fell and slammed into the shore. Swaggering down came an enormous, growling figure of a man - a bright green bird perched upon his shoulder.
“Come, ye land-luberrs! Mi and mi soldiers hav’ arrived for yer aid.” cried out Captain Rumpus Stumpus Gumpus Jo, leading the pirates off of the boat, a hand shake then ensued and the deal was done.
Hark, ye soldiers of the seas! There is a new band of men defending the Renatian seas - loyal men of the Empire and hardened sailors all. Employed by the noble Emperor and his counsellors, they shall aid with the honourable Robert d’Anpalais in the defence of Fort Loches.
Join if ye’ so desire - for there is honour, glory, and the sweet songs of the sea.
