No I'm not a barbarian. Ditch the business formality form of speaking and talk to more people informally. More folks you speak on an equal level the more honest they'll be with you regarding how they view the server as a whole. At the end of the day this is more a community then it is a business, yes there is the business side to it but nobody really gives a **** as long as the server can stay up, and because its a rather outspoken community they'll tell you what they think is wrong and they'll give suggestions on how to compromise and fix it if you push further and start bouncing back ideas. Talk to enough folks you'll be able to melt down the ideas into something that works for near everyone. I just think the formality hurts more then it helps as all it does is create unnecessary distance between staff and playerbase. Cherrydoogle. thanks man

I try to keep myself as disconnected from the drama as possible and joke around all the time. You as an individual I think will do great. Your position I think is at a disadvantage and I think if we ever run into a situation where the Dev's refuse to accept that changes need to happen again you'll get your name dragged through the mud regardless of your efforts. I do hope you eventually become a lead dev down the line once you've more experience as I've heard nothing but praise regarding you. Question: Weather the storm and get the experience you need. If you come out of it with the same attitude and connection to the community you'll do great. I think you used your ability to play Xan to your advantage to better your holy magic over the other groups. I mean really how can anyone compete with one group having someone who can actually play the aengul at a whim. nah nah Coming from dwarf playerbase be being a GM I expected a lot more shady **** tbh. Honestly you can take a lot of whats going on for its face value. Something to keep in mind when considering the GM team is its not nearly as united as would be expected. Generally speaking the GM's get along with each other as individuals for the purpose of remaining professions but there isn't really a concentrated plan to push a certain agenda. Nowadays a lot of GM's work on personal goals or projects which means that even as a GM we're in the dark a lot about what others are doing. I think the Kha leak was an example of things the playerbase didn't know which the GM's did albeit tbh I don't think most of the GM team even knew about it based on votes. I've been planning to leave for some time just double check if with Dizzy or Nala if you need confirmation, I'm a volunteer and I'm here for personal enjoyment.I don't feel the need to further connect myself to LotC as info regarding everyone is already easy enough to get. My comment regarding teegah wasn't being harsh on teegah, I honestly think the guy has a really good grasp on the community. However it doesn't matter how well he does based on the fact that his positions importance is entirely reliant on the actions of others and how they choose to regard the feedback he handles. In that respect I think teegah's position is at a disadvantage as if there ever comes a point in time where dev's outright refuse to compromise with the changes wanted he's gonna go down in that ship with them regardless of his own efforts or views on it. Question: Handling a conflict in which both raiders and defenders are being petty and dancing the line with rules. You were alright, one of the few kha who I felt ever really got involved in ****. I quit for a number of reasons, most of it boiled down to just not enjoying the fact that when I login'd to LotC it was a chore. Part of my frustration was the fact that more and more people just seem to be angry about everything on the server which is exhausting to deal with. Big part of my frustration was the amount of **** people blamed on GM's that were out of GM control. Don't get me wrong the GM team isn't perfect, but they take the brunt of the **** for stuff most of them have no control over. Dev - shoutout to teegah for being given possibly one of the worst positions as he'll just become the fallguy for why dev's continue to be disconnected from the community. I've always counted 501 and Kowa as friends but I do think they're just outright wrong in how they perceive professions as a whole. FM - I really don't like the direction this team is going in the slightest. They've managed to push away what I considered were the chillest FM's who really got the community in turn for some individuals who to put it simply are extremely controversial for good reason. LM - Good individuals, however as a team I think they drop the ball. MAT - Free these soldiers from the LM's whip AT - Never dealt with em. GM - I've never had that much issue with most of the individuals. I do think that the GM team lacks the presence it once had so it's been reduced to a beaten dog. Rate things are going they'll end up being modreq monkey's while the community kicks there teeth in for **** pulled by the other staff teams Wiki - Tried it, wasn't for me. Made the choice to pull the plug on being GM today. Wasn't feeling it anymore and I've always viewed GM more as a volunteer thing to the server then a status or a power thing.
