  3. A certain harbinger stretches its arms back over its head, having received word. """This... will be cute..."'" is the only audible phrase emitted from it's maw, the learned information being consequently, and near instantaneously learned by the other Harbingers Bring it on

  7. These elusive creatures and quite certainly some of the most dangerous things in Anthos, the beings are oft akin to glass cannons in combat, able to rend dark rifts into mortal ground to draw out the overly corrupted, and zealotus servants of Setherien. Along with this, these beings have been bestowed with the ability to disguise their semi-flud forms with a special form of light illusion, and unforgettably, Setherien's Boon; holding within it the ability to create freezing corruptive smog from the very air about them, and condense it into frigid black flames, most would agree that these are much more dangerous than your everyday mage. Among the former Black Scourge, each held, and still hold a powerful control over the cultists, able to speak through their minds with painful clarity, and corrupt land with the dreaded blood shards at a whim... yet with all things, these creatures had to start somewhere. From the remains of a long forgotten order, seven mortals of various races were picked from their ranks, brought upon to Setherien himself and... Immolated. Crafted in the dark flames of the Master, rose these sentient clouds of pitch black smog. With time, each learned to generate armor, and the ability to interact with the mortal world. With this new ability, the Harbingers were fully able to lead Setheiren's armies of corrupted, and set out to fulfil their master's wishes. Even with the Master's powerful influence on the minds of the Harbingers, they all still manage to retain some shred of individualism, allowing for each to specialize in certain areas of the Master's bidding; yet be warned, these inhuman creatures are just as unpredictable as the very smog that is at the core of their very being. Setherien, The Black Wyrm A name uttered by few and feared by most, Setherien is the mastermind behind the Harbinger's actions. He has dwelled in the North ever since the Order of the Golden Lance challenged him upon the summit of Mount Mywr, biding his time while recovering from his wounds. A hoarder of knowledge and extinguisher of lives, Setherien won't lie in wait forever. When will he strike? When will he venture south of the frozen wastelands and claim what is his? Song (An extensive lore document containing Setherien's backstory and history will be released to the public in the near future. Please remain patient during this process). Vak'thuul the Keeper In his previous life, Vak'thuul led the Order of the Golden Lance with valiant courage and boldness. His valor and zeal inspired the Order to act with bravery and fearlessness. A hero among his kind, Vak'thuul's presence alone motivated the Order to accomplish their goal of cleansing the world from corrupted dragonkin. His mind was strong, and his will unbroken. It was this determination and passion that led Setherien to mold him into the perfect leader of the Harbingers. Though he stood tenaciously against Setherien's all-powerful taint, even he could not resist the Drakaar's control. Now he commands the Harbingers, his former companions in the Order of the Golden Lance. With Vak'thuul the Keeper as devoted to Setherien's will as he was to the Order's cause, who will be able to stand against the Blade of Setherien? -Nihil- Said to be one of the least aggressive Harbingers, Nihil is caught in a struggle between his own memories of the time before he was turned, and his eternal submission to Setherien. At times he despises his fellow Harbingers and other times loves them, this unpredictability is birthed through Setherien’s faltering hold on his body and mind. More often than not, Nihil keeps to himself and his many books in fear of experiencing the pain of clashing moral ideals. It is not unusual for Nihil to question orders and justifications, but of course never openly, there will always sit a small amount of doubt in his mind though. However as long as Setherien continues to sustain him, he will forever be in his lord’s service. Song -Kalgeryas- A driven and relatively cold individual, Kalgeryas was obsessed with knowledge, information, and power in his past life. Once a High Elf, he was once in possession of a great collection of tomes and books. Parts of his personality have leaked over upon his corruption from Setherien, including a heavy sense of elitism and arrogance. He is ruthless and aggressive, showing very little care for anything but himself and his goals. Unlike other Harbingers, he doesn’t waste time trying to sympathize or understand mortal beings, preferring instead to use his abilities to bring out Setherien’s will with ruthless efficiency. Song -Marak- Very quiet in existence, it appears to always do it’s own thing by itself. It ignores the existence of many others until they pose a threat or have something it wants, and only ever speaks to other Harbingers. This does not mean that his illusions would not speak, only that they would never be it’s words. It could also be taught of as the most fearless, and in a way, idiotic, as it searches for books and knowledge without disguises. Yet soon he might find other, better ways to do so. It is fearless and overconfident, and yet as well very smart. In battle with mortals he makes use of illusions to those that he is facing, combining after with the powers that Setherien has given it. Song -Mortum'Vherzix- Mortum’Vherzix is a highly restricted Harbinger, hands down the most mysterious… or depthless. The specter lacks nearly any personality and is the epitome of Setherien’s tool; among the other Harbingers is little connection between the geist, indeed the most primitive and primal of the others. Highly aggressive, the Harbingers slings death towards all facets of the living. Not exactly one to favor the collection of knowledge, maugre that Mortum’Vherzix recognizes the bestowed power upon himself by Setherien and respects it thus, it revels in the thought that the extinction of existence is the main goal. Song -Shae'tan- Generally referred to as one of the most deceptive, and at times twisted Harbingers, Shae’tan is a self proclaimed master [or mistress upon occasion] of disguise and corruption. A more emotionally oriented Harbinger, its former self is still highly existent in Shae’tan, but as nothing more than blueprints as to how to act in pertinence to Setherien’s orders. Shae’tan takes great pleasure in ‘helping’ mortals, giving them advice and pieces of altered knowledge of the north, aiming to convert them to Setherien’s cause. Of all the Harbingers, Shae’tan is arguably the most well versed in the northern arts of disguise, taking on any facade at will, and controlling it’s misty form to generate even the most minute details of a being or otherwise. In closing, at times Shae’tan can seem the greatest ally to mortals against the north, proving to be a reliable source of information up until the very end, wherein its true goals are revealed. Song -Sitri'Aim- Sitri’Aim is one of the most manipulative things you’ll know. Along with manipulation, it dabbles in greed. It loves power of any sort, whether the power is over one or many, Sitri’Aim will fight for it. Sitri’Aim has taken the form of one of the former members of the Black Wyrm. This former member betrayed Setherien and Sitri’Aim just couldn’t pass up the chance of taking this ex-member’s place. So, it executed the member and stored the member’s body, like a trophy. Sitri’Aim can be an amazing ally, or a terrifying enemy. If you have something to offer it, it will stick around and do everything it can to help. If Sitri’Aim is against you, it will do everything within its power to ruin you. It is not suggested to get on its bad side. Now it just uses the former cultist member and others’ forms to do what it can to further Setherien and itself. Song -Kav'Zoras- Kav Zoras served as one of the crueler Harbingers, and perhaps the most easily amused by the folly of mortals. It was not uncommon for Kav Zoras to disguise itself and appear as a normal individual and experiment with various methods of frightening or confusing mortals. Of course, it also went beyond mere fright and confusion, taking joy in causing great pain to others. When Kav was undisguised, it was fairly common for it to be over-confident and prideful, often espousing its superiority and declaring the deaths of dozens shortly before taking on numbers not even his strength can best. Despite this, in the end, Kav was a loyal servant like the rest, performing its duties to Setherien as instructed up until the bitter end, where it's death came at the hands of the Masked Judge. Song -Orokana- First of the second generation Harbingers, Orokana is curious and might almost be considered childish, although it can be quite cruel and heartless. It enjoys the pain of others, and won't hesitate to end all those who oppose him and his lord. While void of all empathy, It seems to take interest in others, especially those who show interest and devotion to Setherien. On occasion it will stray away from violence entirely, more concerned on explaining its need to serve and its lord himself, and trying to bring others to serve as it had in its previous life. Occasionally it will engage in childish conversations or seem to gain the attitude of a child. It prefers disguising itself as a child as well. It performs its duties as instructed, as loyal as they come, its devotion and faith unwavering. -Eudihr- Eudihr, a twisted being. Born from the fires of agony, and tempered in the cool waters of anger. This Harbinger is a being of absolute evil, its anger fueling a ever burning rage in the depths of its eternal body. Its immediate goals are shrouded in mystery. This once great being, a scholar, a general of thousands, now employs its previous experience to sustain an ever burning, ever growing creature. Eudihr is without morals, is without remorse, and will sacrifice great things to attain accomplishment, and will tolerate failure at no limits. Its duties are held above no other thing, and it will fight to the very end to complete this. -Absolution- Probably the least mentally stable of any of the Harbingers, Absolution is delusional, and altogether dangerous. The zealousness it was known for in its past life has since only grown, and Absolution now has an unquenchable drive to cure all mortals of the “sickness of flesh”, as it calls it, that keeps them bound to their sins. It believes all mortals to be inherently imperfect, and dedicates itself to studying them to further its own purposes. However, this study is not the simple reading of books, observations, and conservations that some of its fellow Harbingers dabble in. Its “studies” are something far more mysterious, and its likely no living being will ever know what Absolution has in store for them when it asks for repentance.
  8. Shaela seems to look to the letter for a time, a shimer of black light running across its eyes a moment... As if she remembered... Something. A reply is left there after in the crispest blue ink (that I can't write in because phone): "To whomever this may concern, my name is Shaela Sacatria. What you have done is shameful to any of all those within our otherwise proud race, and hence forth I, to right your misguided and malicious efforts against our kind, offer to pay the amount of 3000 Mina's for this child's safe return to myself. If the parents of this youngling read this note or anyone else, you have my name, you may contact me, respond quickly and without tarry, sincerely, ~Shaela"
  9. Let us look at this, my my my we've come a far way. Alright since you all seem to be wondering this is how the corruption upon this dread knight was supposed to work. To my understanding, this one only had a blood shard shoved up its chest for all intensive purposes, NOW, this just ever so happens to have a slow corruptive effect upon whomever or whatever it touches, hence the DK. This is opposed to what I did to borg's character, quite literally using the Harbinger's corruptive abilities to do the same work that was done to early kambassadors, yet only mentally as there was no need to do so physically due to it being a suit of armor. With the mind cracked the body followed. We're not talking of Verin though~ In any case if you wanted to rp it this way then you'll also need to break it this way. This can be accomplished via clerical means or other methods of uncorruption, good luck with that by the way, as to my knowledge thats the only way it can work -shrugs- I may be wrong, don't quote me here. Nonetheless the blood shard by itself wouldn't have been irremovable, and would have only fully corrupted the being if left within for an extended, and we're talking /extended/ period of time. If you have any more questions about Harbinger lore, ask myself or another Harbinger who can ask me~ Till then, enjoy le RP

  21. Lists and reasons, here we go. 1. Re-add magic apps at cost of [removing villain apps MAYBE.] To paraphrase the great book of Telanir, "You can't have complete trust in the players, thats stupid, you can't have no trust in the players, some actually have common sense, you need to find a happy medium where you can moderate but still allow freedom." Which is why I hope magic apps will be added. Call it a gut feeling combined with logic, but look at the situation; with the "Soon" release of the magic plugin [which won't be all too soon honestly until we can get collaborating on it as a tech team], and the lack of Mas, there arises a very large issue. Previously where there were tiers, there is now... nothing. This means no teachers, no students, nothing solid and moderated by the staff as to be able to assign plugin ranks too when and if it comes out. Basically this means you will have to give everyone every bit of access to the magic plugin because they can now randomly learn a subtype or, hell, new type of magic never thought of before. This is why I suggest removing villain applications as almost a bargaining chip for getting the MAs back. With villain applications gone, sure anyone can now be a villain, even that guy in a power ranger suit, or a ripped link skin, but that doesn't matter I suppose, the rules are broken to such an extent already its negligible who has a Va nowadays. The difference between Vas and MAs is that villain applications allow access to role play, magic applications allow access to a [soon] plugin and roleplay... see what I'm getting at? 2. Stem the hate to the staff. "But they're not doing their job Arzota!" Yes I'm aware of this very well, but you'll note they're volunteers that do this on their own time and though it may not be a top priority, it's a priority nonetheless, else they wouldn't necessarily be staff would they? Truly, I beleive the amount of trolling and hate just needs to be diminish one way or the other, I know it won't happen, but everyone has a Christmas list yea? Otherwise, I beleive everything is in order, as someone who has joined in Asulon the server has been taking a nose dive with the whole mechanism switch and what not, without arguing too much these are the only two non-flamey things I suggest to make the server a bit of a better place. Rp-Rpg may be the new feel, but all must remember those who joined in the heat of Rp default for everything, not just the Ageis veterans or the mixed noobs.
