Currently voidal magic recovers per encounter much like Templar so mages would be going from 8 t3 spells per encounter to 6 t3 spells per day. It would not make sense to do this unless mages got increased power in other aspects which would undermine the entire point of being a voidal mage. Not really sure how voidal mages are getting off so many high tier spells as well I've basically never gone past my regular mana pool as a voidstalker.

[Amendment] Voidal Tearing
ClassyDryad replied to PrimnyaQuorum's topic in Lore Criteria + Submissions
This would just undermine the consequences of building tears to a non-issue. Is tear bombing something that's even been successfully practiced?- 21 replies

The following is an amendment to housemagery. Additions are Bolded and subtractions are the - symbol. Original New OOC Purpose: This is 100% legal and I see no consequences to doing it. We will be amending this redline until all lore materials are centralized under one person.

[✗] Cannibal Alchemy Addition! Sprite Wings
ClassyDryad replied to fizzyquack's topic in Denied Lore
You should add one poison sign because every fey related reagent that exists has aether and poison as a little background lore thing. It has to do with the fact fey are [redacted by the druidic Mafia.] -

The original arguments for why sprites could not use druidism kind of went out the window when they gave them blood magic compatibility so this makes sense

Idk why every necromancy spell is like "here is my cool spell. It's range is 5 inches. It's okay if I get morion in an event I can raise that to six inches!"

Add the following redline to Summon Weapon - Any form of arcane focus (other than yisar) and casting implement can be summoned with this ability. OOC Purpose: Frieren larp and people already do this by making sure their focus is also something that counts as a weapon. It'd be nice to use it on like harps and wands legally though.

[✗] [Amendment] Voidal Mage Strenght and Armement.
ClassyDryad replied to Samler's topic in Denied Lore
Good modernization I think -
The voidstalker and scion venting thing is mostly a problem imo because you'll be chilling with someone for like 2 irl hours only to learn they where a scion and should have been venting that entire time. We don't have giant signs plastered over our heads that tells us who is who.

"This could be an ammendment" final boss (finally flavor for eminent)

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? I personally just think this variation is a bit too mild to even be worth mentioning in the lore. Even full immunity to intoxication is somewhat borderline on how necessary it is to specify.
-
I would just flat out remove this instead of amending it because it doesn't really add anything to the lore imo.

This is not really a good comparison at all. Possession of a rare metal weapon isn't equivalent to an open easily accessible transformative CA, and leaves our the downsides of boomsteel (using it four times takes you out of combat effectively) nor does it address that not having to use the boomsteel to double your attack strength then opens you up to use said attack strength with other materials- effectively layering it's strengths into the weapon without it's downside. This is to say that this CA is decidedly not equivalent to a uruk with heavy armor and boomsteel. This is all dancing around my point that this lore decidedly doesn't at all feel like an improvement upon ologs, it feels like an improvement upon uruks. The only purpose of having the ability to turn existing uruks into ologs seems to be to fulfill this. I personally think that if accepted this CA would be exceedingly detrimental to the orcish community in the long run. As an additional note, rage pking you if overused while also giving additional uses is a real bad mechanic. Beyond just the low quality rp generated by a mechanic revolving around killing people mid combat, is it metagaming for an olog not to pk themselves if they think they killed someone who is pretending to be dead? Does killing things that aren't actually alive count? Does killing a naztherak's summoned imp count?

@PanasheaRage takes 1 emote to incite and lasts only 4 emotes so it's basically just roughly the same thing as using a longbow. Also I personally think this would still result in a lion's share of existing orcs just moving to olog because it doesn't have any downsides compared to orc. Again this rewrite feels more for orcs to obtain concrete combat buffs more than it feels like it exists for the niche of olog players. I'd consider maybe making it so only child orcs can undergo the olog ritual but that would ultimately just be a temporary solution to the above.

I like some aspects of this but there doesn't seem to be any reason why almost every orc wouldn't immediately transition to ologs. It almost feels like the constant high strength of ologs is being sacrificed just so all orcs can roleplay being gigantic and absurdly strong again to me. The inclusion of "they feel constantly depressed if not living among orcs" kind of feeds into this being like a """true""" orc thing designed to force true orcs under the orcish state- idk. I like the concept of ologs being something you ritually become and removing their weird 5 year old intelligence thing though (if this intelligence is such an important weakness for them why doesn't every other olog esk being have it?) Ologs should also be allowed to be shamans for as long as shamanism is in it's current state (does less than bardmancy.) Edit: I also think throwing objects like longbow arrows is cool but it should be like a longbow clone ability separate from rage, as otherwise there just isn't any reason for an olog to use it over a regular longbow given it's lack of emote economy and limited uses.

Don't pk your characters unless it's narratively satisfying to you. People in certain communities will sometimes attempt to peer pressure pk on first death but they generally don't do this for their own friends so ignore them. Avoid looking at magic lore for a bit. You will have to do so eventually but you'll spoil the magic of it by interrogating the lore too much. Don't let people force you outside your ooc healthy comfort zone. Many things that would do so (torture rp, perm magical effects on your character, and so on) have consent clauses you have to accept, or can be skipped by ftb. If they just say "do you consent" ask about the consequences of said thing because they almost always have one if there is a consent clause attached. Try to find something for your character to do that gets you into rp consistently, whether that is town guard rp, a travelling merchant, or so on. There is always a small chance while on the server you'll be attacked by something do don't get on if you have something important to do in an hour (combat usually takes longer than that.)

I'd smash printing presses if they also came with an X-ray that let you spy into vaults :V General practice I tell scribe minions with these programs is to make sure that the person who wrote the book wrote the book wrote their name in it, and if they didn't I add an additional page or add their name to the title (and usually that my character scribed it.) I'd generally suggest anyone interested in min man archival do this because preserving the identity of the author is important!

Book copy mods are primarily used as a means of preservation without spending literal irl hours in a 2nd job simulator copying it all by hand, brought about into common use by the massive amount of bugs that erase these books from shelves constantly. Like buggy shelves have destroyed probably tens of hundreds of books permanently so it is general practice these days to ensure you have backups of everything. Breaking into someone's house to like mass-copy all of the books in their personal locked storage or whatever is probably not something that should be allowed though.

Unironically I think it would be more fun if the knight demons could have a unique exception to scion for 2 slot scion rather than giving it to malda (why would scion make a malda physically stronger?) but that might be too strong.

Idk I don't see any existing lore for this magic called "hearing." You might be getting powergamed bud.
