  1. Your 'Reims Guard' are not really official... Also, Teutonic Order hasn't used 'power armor' in literally months. It was retired for a reason. The joke is dead.
  2. Honestly? If someone refuses to listen to you, just remove them in terrible ways. Once someone gets thrown off a bridge/drowned/demoted instantly and stripped of all titles/exiled, I don't think you'll have as many problems with disobedience. It may seem harsh, but it's necessary if your -soldiers- are being insubordinate. That's a big problem. I'd make it clear that you expect their obedience with a declaration from the Council and state that action will be taken if this does not happen. In general, really, centralization of power would probably be a good idea.
  3. Jonathan snorts. "Calls himself a spy and gives out his name? What a joke." The Knight chuckles to himself before walking on, shaking his head.
  4. The elves have a whole list of problems. I'm just gonna be straight and put all my thoughts on the table here. I'm not trying to be offensive here, I'm just telling you what I've observed personally. - OOC clique mentality is extremely strong and causes pointless tension and division both internally and externally. - As a whole, I see a lot of OOC complaining coming from the elves. Could be a vocal minority, probably is... - Lack of politically savvy elves. I'm not mentioning any names, but some of your Princes really are lacking in this department and have a tendency to do some really politically dangerous stuff. - Lack of good law and order. The lack of organization and inability to respond to threats quickly is painfully apparent. The Elves need a bigger guard force and really should start to crack down on nonsense; we don't have many criminals in Oren because people have figured out that we mean business. People commit crime in Malinor because they know they can get away with it. - Lack of elves with military smarts. It would be useful to have someone like this; even if the elves are mostly peaceful, having a defense force only makes sense. - Lack of cool events or events in general. Oren has wars a lot, internal and external; that's our thing. Come up with something for the elves that you all enjoy. Just my two cents. In summary, sort out the OOC bickering, rethink your mentality on politics/foreign relations (Keep your high elves away from diplomacy.) and the military, crack down with the law, and begin developing positive, fun events for the elves.

  7. I'd suggest taking a look at your goblins. It seems like everyone RP's them as basically a cute little type of orc that giggles and pulls harmless pranks all the tine. IIRC, this isn't too lore accurate. Aren't gobos supposed to be smart and crafty, as well as a bit malicious? Staying accurate to lore in general, really. I could go in depth about that/at least what I think I see, if you want.
  8. Jonathan Black stared forward at the wall in front of his desk in the Chapter of the Lion base, just thinking; an activity he found himself doing often these days. It had been several months since Elizabeth Silverblade was murdered, and he still wasn't able to get over it. His mind simply replayed what happened when he found the body over and over, almost never giving him rest. The only time it didn't happen, it seemed, was when he was busy with something else. Externally, not showing the pain was something he had gotten used to from other experience; internally, it was a difficult thing to control. Little seemed to help. First, he tried the usual - killing; mostly of orcs. This didn't help, so he turned to alcohol - not too much, and never too often, but this seemed to fail as well. As a final, desperate last resort, he visited the brothel. This still did nothing; in fact, the overwhelming guilt coming from the visit only made the situation worse. He had taken a turn for the worse, aside from this. He suffered from what could only be described as a hellish headache on what seemed to be a daily basis. His temper flared more often then it should, and several had already fallen victim to this; friends, acquaintances, and more. Indeed, most things about him could currently be considered to be in a state of decline. He had tried replacing her, certainly. The only problem was that no woman seemed to be quite good enough, with some exceptions, but those were out of his reach for a variety of reasons, whether it be simple disinterest on their part or outright refusal to court him. The rejection he received from the last person he asked only served to fuel the growing anger at his circumstances boiling within him. Jonathan got up from his seat and traveled to the grave of Elizabeth by the waterfall in Elysium. The place where he met her, and the place where they had officially become engaged. As he stared at the ground where her coffin was, an odd thought came to him. Did death necessarily have to be permanent? If her life was taken before it was time, was it truly a crime to try to fix the wrong? Some would call it heresy, but was it? No. It was simply fixing the evil that had been done and returning things to the way they should've been. No one asked her if she wished to be killed. He gave the grave a solid nod before returning to the docks and boarding the ship back to Kalos. He had made up his mind. No matter what it took, Elizabeth Silverblade -would- walk the Earth again.
  9. -Snip, because I don't go to the elven docks.-))
  10. Jonathan Black notes the advertisement. He then begins plotting how to burn the establishment to the ground.
  11. Besides that as Austin said, a lot of this wasn't up to nation leaders. Sure, Mogroka, but he's also an -admin-; it's only natural that he watches over his IC nation because he knows what's needed in 3.0 better then most.
  12. I'm failing to see your point. You're complaining because nation leaders control their nation OOCly and are calling for some kind of democracy? Never, ever gonna happen and 3.0 is coming soon, prebuilt, whether you like that or not. I fail to see the point to this post aside from a wall of text with a looooott of complaining. It's almost as if nation leaders are leading their nation. Besides, what would happen if one nation decides they don't want a capital start and everyone else does? Suddenly they're at a ridiculous disadvantage... I also can't help but note that your claim of 'Most players not wanting 3.0's prebuilding' has utterly no apparent data behind it; besides the point that I might've been against it long ago, but I am not anymore. Just because you seem to hate this with a passion does not mean the silent majority is behind you.
  13. You're awfully insistent about telling people your thoughts on PvP, aren't you? It gets slightly old, no offense intended at all here... A bit less shoving such ideas down people's throats would be good, especially because it seems like you're just saying "No, you're wrong."
  14. Knight Commander Jonathan Black notes the poster with interest. A while later, a letter arrives addressed to Saul VonSchlichten; it has a black seal with a golden lion on it. The note is neat, concise, and to the point, if just a bit mysterious. "Mr. Saul VonSchlichten..." "You seem to be a man of great talent, along with your comrades. I'd like to speak to you about employment - more specifically, the employment of yourselves to me. If you're interested in such a thing, send me a response letter or find me in Oren personally." - Noble Ser Jonathan Black."
  15. This thread is basically uninformed people tossing around uninformed opinions in an uninformed fashion. Lotta misconceptions going on all over the place, and it makes me sad. Usually, if someone is taking a sarcastic/passive-aggressive tone when it comes to this kind of thing, they're not going to be open-minded enough to seriously think about whatever you say to them; in fact, it half-demonstrates a kind of mindset that whomever they are speaking to is automatically wrong, misinformed, and ignorant quite often. Blargh. I have a lot to say, but I'm not even going to bother because I feel like it'd be a waste.
  16. Positioning/weapon types are a factor in PvP. I mean, unless we don't have a few different kinds, bows are not a thing, and high-ground advantage is not prevalent... Also already rebutted the spamclick argument. If you have objections to PvP, fine, but don't pretend like its some unstrategic blob that involves grinding your face on the keyboard or something. I was simply stating that it represents my characters prowess because he's a good fighter in RP fights and this somehow carries into when I pvp fight with him.
  17. PvP is not just 'hurp who clicks faster' because MC mechanics only allow an entity to take damage on a once per second basis. It's great if you click 15 times per second but it does nothing. There's a reason not everyone is the best PvPer. If you want to dislike PvP, fine, but please at least realize that it is not all clicking and actually does involve skill. I'm very tired of seeing the clicking argument because is not true. For me, I feel like it provides a very good way to demonstrate my character's prowess; typing is one thing but rocking someone's world is another, but at the same time I can RP fight well too.
