  1. Hello Lhindir. Major props for how much you've pushed LotC forward from all the time I've known you. What was the most scuffed group you were close enough to ever be fully aware of their scuffed-ness (or go to second most since you already mentioned what I guessed would be #1)? Or if you want something a little bit more positive: Who from all the characters you have made over the years do you think would win in a 12 round boxing match tournament (magic is allowed but only if it empowers your body. 1 construct max can fight for you) Keep being a king.

  4. Doing an AMA cause I like to pretend I'm more important than I am.

  5. Oh, my bad. I glossed over the heights being mentioned in there.
  6. That may be but BGBuster's Lore was moved to the Outdated Lore Section. I'm not saying to not use it, but I'm saying that it is no longer filed with other currently used Lore, and in order to find it you would need to go into the archives to find it.
  7. Not incorrect anymore. However, the Lore that those heights are going off of is outdated, so it might be time to write up something new for it. As for the half-Olog Lore, I don't think this is really necessary. It will just add more bloat to the ever increasing amount of Lore there is on LotC. It feels like these are just meant to try and circumvent the drawbacks of Ologs, as many have pointed out above.
  8. Felt like ruining my reputation, so what better way than to post of photo of me from a school play I did.
  9. Arrisk Image Source: http://www.conifers.org/po/Lepidothamnus_laxifolius.php Habitat: Alpine mountains, most commonly either in mountain meadows or along barren mountain ridges. Brief summary of the plant Characteristics: An arrisk is a conifer shrub that grows in groups along snow mountain ridges or in mountain meadows. It typically grows to be around 16 inches (.4 meters) in diameter and 4 inches (10 cm) high. The shrub is easily distinguished by its red tinged needles. In late spring and summer, if it is in a fairly temperate area such as a meadow, the shrub can fruit, giving off fleshy red cones that can can be eaten like berries which, while edible and highly nutritious, are quite bitter and waxy, making it not a particularly appealing choice for people. When they grow these 'fruits', the needles flatten out and mesh together into thin rows of scales around the cones, giving it the appearance of a flower. Due to the the sheer and windy mountain ledges the shrub finds itself on, it grows thick, barbed roots that help to keep it in one place by hooking onto the rocky layers beneath them. These roots are capable of, over time, boring into the rock underneath what little soil they have around them to further secure itself. Due to the sparsity of nutrients along the ledges, arrisks in those conditions grow extremely long roots in order to get as much nutrients as they can. The ones that grow in mountain meadows do not grow roots that are quite as long, as they are able to get more nutrients out of the ground around them. The plant plays two important roles in the alpine ecosystem, depending on where on the mountain it grows. Along ledges, its extensive roots monopolize space and what little nutrients there are around them, threatening to choke out the few plants that might be able to grow in the same habitats such as Silver Lines. However, it can be kept in line by herbivorous animals that are able to get to their roots. It continues this role as a producer in the more temperate meadows. While the roots don't grow as long in the meadows, their fruits provide a great source of food for animals, due to how close to the ground they are. Its roots, when ground up, create a powder which gives a sense of delirium and drowsiness when consumed. It could theoretically be mixed with other ingredients to make a sleeping aid or a drug. LM Approval Required: Yes, as I would like to expand upon the substance in the roots further in another Lore post.
  10. I'm really glad I grinded up from inept enchanter to top 10 so close to the end of the map. It was a really good use of my time.

  11. Name of Spirit and Aspect: Gorkil, Son of Krug. Blessing: To be recognized as a Gorkil in the Spirit's eyes in spite of his blood and his past actions, and to learn how to better lead the Clan. Daily Worship: Offerings to passed family members consisting of a smithed object that represents a family member and Vagud's blood (for his Raguk family/blood relatives) or an object of war that represents a member of his family and the blood of a war boar(for his Gorkil family/clansmen). Name of Spirit and Aspect: Dom, Daughter of Krug Blessing: More knowledge about the Dark Shamans and their cult. Daily Worship: Uncover lost knowledge about Shamanism and Shamanic history, copying it, and then presenting it to a Shrine of Dom.

  15. "I would be willing to supply cloth. We can discuss amounts and price whenever is convenient to you. -Vagud'Gorkil" Vagud writes in response before realizing there was no means given to contact the person. He sighs and attaches the tiny note to the ad in the hope that the buyer will notice.
  16. tfw your MA which took 30 seconds gets more rep than some of your RP posts.

  17. Haha nice prank Adult Swim! Real glad you pushed Samurai Jack back by a week so you could show the season premiere of a show that won't be fully starting in over two months.

  18. If there are any skilled builders around that would be so kind as to give a noob some advice for a nature kind of build, please hit me up.

I've learned that great builders don't want to build for you. You gotta force em. (Don't know actually)

I'm not asking to have something built for me. I'm asking for advice so I can make something I'm building not look awful.

For my nature builds, I like to use a mixture of various saplings and bonemeal. The rest seems to come together by itself.

  19. "Fur zkah...iv lat'z gonna pud up a liztin fur a znaga, ad leazd zpell zkah properly." Vagud mutters disdainfully at the note posted in San'Torr. He swiftly tears the note off the message board and crumples it into a ball. "Zlavin ulredeh makez uz look nub'hozh. Diz iz juzd diggin our grave even deeper."
  20. Throughout the major cities and farms of Axios, posters have been hung up near doors or stables. Selling Golden Carrots "Selling golden carrots at prices lower than anywhere else on the market at 10 minas a carrot. Can sell upwards of five bundles worth of gold carrots at any time. If you are interested, contact Vagud'Gorkil. Carrots can either be delivered to you or picked up." Beneath the brief message there is the carefully drawn outline of a carrot, colored in using yellow glitter.
  21. +1. It warms my heart to see my beloved gobos getting some love. I worry, though, about that defined potential for this. I think the lore would benefit from examples of what would be doable and what wouldn't be. While it's admirable that you want to leave this mostly up to the users, but the lack of definition as to its applications could cause confusion for both the lore team and people that would be using the metal.
  22. Sizable pieces of coarse, almost cloth-like paper have been posted along taverns, shops, and homes of the wealthy and industrious across Axios, stating: Experienced Worker for Hire Young, able-bodied, and hard working Uruk willing to work for whoever can pay for his services. Can fulfill any physical labor needs, and is highly trained as a miner (legendary), farmer (veteran), and leatherworker (masterful). Willing to work with people of all races and backgrounds until given reason not to. Prices for services and services that will be preformed are determined at the beginning of a contract. Prices will be based on either a. the amount of materials desired or b. the amount of time that I am requested to work for you, depending on whichever is specified at the beginning of my services. As an example, though, a cactus week of all potential services (acting as a miner, farmer, leatherworker, and other miscellaneous jobs within my capability) would be 750 minas. Payment in minas is preferred, however a mixture of minas and other items is acceptable at my discretion. Materials or tools might be very rarely requested to finish jobs if it is needed. Room and board is unnecessary, however access to storage areas in order to hold goods would be appreciated. All clients will be treated with the utmost respect and are promised both hard work and cheaper rates for anything than what you would get from buying at a store. For more information or to arrange a meeting, contact Vagud'Gorkil.
  23. This was moved to outdated, however no Orcs were notified of this. So we were still following this, even after it was moved. This was lore that had been around for quite a while and, while no Orc liked it, we followed it because it's what was explained to us by experienced players as being the way it is. You're right, at some point the restriction was removed, however none of us knew about this at all. There was no communication between the lore team and the players on this, so we continued to perpetuate this information.
