  1. It won't be replacing anything because, as of right now, there aren't any pages regarding geographical locations in Atlas. Nations and settlements have pages, but nothing yet about places other than those.
  2. Throm’ka, denizens of Atlas! The Wiki Team will be hosting a contest celebrating the (relatively) newly christened world of Atlas, that I like to call The Cartographer's Challenge. The subject of the contest is simple: create a Wiki page for one or more geographical region or landmark of Axios. This can be either one of the areas listed at the Cloud Temple map (shown below) or an area that you believe is noteworthy and unique. People are encouraged to flesh out the pages in whatever way they see fit, so long as it stays informative and fitting of the typical Wiki style. Note: The polar bear is not part of the map. The contest will judge on the following factors: Information provided on the page Formatting and appearance (including art and screenshots) Effort Grammar and writing style Use of Wiki resources such as templates as necessary Following Wiki article conventions (see this Wikipedia page on naming conventions and this page on what content on a Wiki should be like, as the guidelines for these mostly carry over) All pages must be completed by 11:59 AM on March 1 and contain the {{Contest}} template in order to be counted. People can collaborate with another member if they wish, however all contributors must be noted using the <noinclude> tag so that it does not show up in the page. Winners will get fantastic prizes such as skill tomes elytras minas! First Place: 1500 Minas + Wiki Wizard Tag + Alpaca Egg Second Place: 1000 Minas + Alpaca Egg Third Place: 500 Minas + Parrot Egg Unspoken Prize: Brownie points if you ever apply for Wiki Team This contest is open to everyone, so if you would like a Wiki account in order to participate please PM me or any other Wiki Team member on the forums, Discord, or in-game with your preferred username for the account and either an email or password to register the account with. For those of you who are not too familiar with the Wiki but still want to take a crack at it, here are a few resources that you might find useful to help with making a proper Wiki page : https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/158526-ultimate-guide-to-creating-a-wiki-page/ https://mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Contents That’s all for now. So long, and good luck to everyone!
  3. From inside the Library of Dragur, Vagud'Gorkil hangs his head in reverence to the fallen Rex. "Mi ken only hope dat duh Waghgoffs follow the lawz agh bring Leydluk back to hiz rightvul plaze az Rex." He murmurs.
  4. If that's true, I'm very sorry. I have tried to fact check all of my edits using what I can find through the archives. If you can point out the stuff that is incorrect, I would be more than happy to correct them.
  5. Hello, and welcome to the very first Wiki Team Update Log. I'm 2samspan, the new Wiki Team Director after @Destinator stepped down in November. Due to how different the Wiki Team is from other teams, structurally, we have not done update logs in the past, but I believe it is important to show the community what exactly is going on in every team. These logs new and departing members as-well as if we are currently wanting to take up any other team members at the time that the update’s posted. Onto some new arrivals to the WT. We have recently accepted five new members due to a number of people who had left in November. Please welcome the following to the Wiki Team! @TorkoalTom @Anisgar @Heero @Ogdan (Benben582) @TJB_Minecraft Due to the amount of people we have taken on in the past month, we will not be accepting anymore Wiki Team applications for some time. We will however, keep people who have recently applied in mind when we do begin looking for new applicants again. With the rather substantial increase to the size of the Wiki Team, bringing the total number of WT members up to 14, I have decided to name two Managers to help me with running the team, those being @Chorale_ and @Fid . Page Data- The Wiki, as of the time of writing this post, has 680 individual content pages (i.e. what you will usually want to read when you go on the Wiki), 35 of those coming from this month. 2,775 pages that have been written over the past three years including talk pages, redirects, and all other content from when Tahmas created the Wiki on December 20, 2015, just over two years ago from today. Along with this, we have somewhere in between 930 files that have been uploaded in total. However, of those content pages, a quarter of those are considered to be articles with an insufficient amount of information on them. Edit Data- Overall the LotC Wiki has had 19,755 edits in total, this means that each content page has on average been updated 7.12 times. User Data- There are 267 registered accounts on the Wiki, with 36 of them being deemed active contributors. Activity is based on whether or not you’ve done anything on the Wiki in the past 30 days. Pages created this month: House of Ashford de Aryn Battle of Rochdale The Reichwald Greatswords Verthaik II Frostbeard House de Castro Battle of Jornheim Fields Cretzer Craps Siege of Vjorhelm Reiters Atlas Myrzym March Ash The State of Lavana Jory Ruric House Vientos House Silversteed Kingdom of Marna House of Devereux Gror Ireheart High King of Kaz'Ulrah Dwarven King of Norland Turkin Culture Sacking of Riga Akritian Culture Rodrik Ruric Jornheim Great Northern War Siege of Johannesburg Willem Hagelijn Kal'Tarak Otto II of Haense Red Faith While the Wiki Team does not typically have many team-wide projects, I can say that we will be restarting the Lore Transfer Project. Over the next few months, the Wiki Team will be transferring all approved Lore from the forums over to the Wiki, under the supervision of the Lore Team. It will be a long process, and it will require a lot of hard work, but I can assure you that we will get it done. The last thing I would like to say for this month's update is a reminder that anybody can be a contributor on the Wiki. All you need to do is ask for a WT member to make an account for you, and you can help to improve the Wiki as well! We will even help to teach you the ins and outs of making a great looking Wiki page which, quite honestly, can be fairly tedious. Special thanks to Chorale for helping me to write this!
  6. I've noticed that /help contains info on a lot of mechanics that don't seem to have been discussed before, and are either currently unimplemented or I have not been able to figure them out as of right now. For example, fatigue. The system is supposed to relate to some professions system, but /help professions does not give a list of professions, even though there is a block that is clearly meant to give a list, and none of the previous professions have brought anything up. What exactly might these systems entail when they are implemented?
  7. Incoming new laws for every nation: every player must breed one animal every restart.
  8. I'm really glad I grinded up from inept enchanter to top 10 so close to the end of the map. It was a really good use of my time.

  9. "Did lat juzt admit dat albai ur helplezz agh kennub defend demzelvez?" Vagud begins to ask, before realizing he isn't there.
  10. Name of Spirit and Aspect: Gorkil, Son of Krug. Blessing: To be recognized as a Gorkil in the Spirit's eyes in spite of his blood and his past actions, and to learn how to better lead the Clan. Daily Worship: Offerings to passed family members consisting of a smithed object that represents a family member and Vagud's blood (for his Raguk family/blood relatives) or an object of war that represents a member of his family and the blood of a war boar(for his Gorkil family/clansmen). Name of Spirit and Aspect: Dom, Daughter of Krug Blessing: More knowledge about the Dark Shamans and their cult. Daily Worship: Uncover lost knowledge about Shamanism and Shamanic history, copying it, and then presenting it to a Shrine of Dom.
  11. Krugmar’s Laws of Succession Ratified on the 16th of Snow's Maiden, 1624 A new Rex is crowned by, and only by, succeeding in a klomp. In the past, it was only the Dominus who could directly challenge the Rex for the title. However, due to the abolition of that position, the ability to challenge the Rex to a klomp has been opened up to anyone that holds or has held the title of Wargoth, Targoth, or Yazgurten, and have never been considered a whitewash. Should an Orc who meets these criteria want to issue a challenge for Rexdom, a council will be convened consisting of the Wargoths, the Targoth, the Yazgurten, and the High Shaman. They will discuss the claim and discern the character of the Orc and whether they believe he or she would be apt for the title. Due to the fact that their claim is being assessed by fellow members of Orcish society, it is important for the Orc to be held in high regard if he or she wants to get the klomp approved. A claim is considered approved when, after at least an hour of discussion, at least three fourths of those in the council have agreed to approve the request. Anyone who would be in these councils but vies for Rexdom will sit out from the council regarding their own challenge. It is within the power of the Rex, for whatever reason, to nominate an Orc for a klomp who does not meet the requirements listed. However, an Orc that receives the nomination is not required to challenge the Rex. Orcs who do challenge the Rex through this method still need to be approved by the council. The Rex is forbidden from klomping his nominee, and instead a champion will be elected by the council to fight in the Rex’s place. Shamans will face a much higher amount of scrutiny than most other Orcs. The council must decide whether or not they will be able to rule properly, or if their devotion to the Spirits will interfere with their judgement, as a Rex’s focus should be first and foremost on the nation and its people. If the Rex dies or abdicates, all who wish to claim the title and have been approved by the council will fight each other in a series of klomps until they they have all fought each other, with the Orc winning the most klomps earning the title. In the case of a tie between two of the claimants, the victor of the klomp between them will succeed as Rex. If there is only one claimant to the throne, a champion will be elected.
  12. "Troubling news for Dwarves. I hope this is not the start of even more internal conflict in the Dwarves." The Rex says solemnly from his throne, as raucous celebration consumes the rest of the Citadel.
  13. Vagud scrunches up his face once he finishes reading it and brings his head closer to the parchment. He looks at the date, then the name of the person who penned it. After a long moment of him silently trying to wrap around the order, he finally lets out a loud shout "What the skah? Didn't he die with the last Empire?"
  14. Inside the throne room of the Citadel, Leydluk’Raguk paced around frantically, his heavy footsteps reverberating through the hall. “Where is that momoskaher?” He groaned exasperatedly. He was a walking ball of stress, all tensed muscle and the frequent glances at the entrance to the throne room when he heard someone approaching, only to let out a sigh when he saw it was not his guest. After he had asked at the third gobo to leave in his typical coarseness, he stopped his pacing, and instead began to simply look around the throne room, taking in all the details that could be so easily missed and taken for granted in the midst of his day to day life. The lever next to the throne that had acted as Drokon’Ugluk’s judge and executioner. The sconces lining the walls, honoring the different Clans of Krugmar. Raguk’s sconce, which had the ‘Rag’ in Raguk crossed out and replaced with the word ‘Gork’. “Are you thinking about what you're going to say to Artimec next time you visit him?” Asked a soft, gravelly voice. Leydluk snapped back to attention and turned his eyes toward the entrance, where his guest was standing. The rather short Raguk-blooded Wargoth of Gorkil, Vagud. “Ah, no. I was thinking about what I was going to say to your mom next time she came to visit me.” The Rex retorted with a grin. “But enough banter. I called you here for a reason” he said as he walked back up to his throne and, with a lofty sigh, eased himself into it. “I have decided”, the Rex began, losing his joking and informal demeanor, “to take a pilgrimage for a while, to connect with Leyd. I could be gone for upwards of a few years, or perhaps just a week. However long it will take for me to feel like I am truly honoring Leyd. But no matter the timeframe, I would like for you to lead Krugmar while I am gone.” Vagud, for a brief moment, was caught off guard. His eyes widened and he stood himself up straight. “I see.” He managed to get out, as his mind raced to formulate the proper response. Finally, after a few seconds of dead silence, he knelt down on one knee and bowed hid head. “I...I would be honored.” He finally says. “I am sure that, between me and your advisors, we will be able to keep Krugmar safe.” Leydluk nodded with a tiny smile. He rose from his seat and walked over to the kneeling Wargoth. “Good. Now help me write this announcement.”
  15. Hell yeah, Pyre.

  16. It was a cool, calm night in San'Raakh. The smell of overly cooked meats and cactus green wafted from the marketplace. A few Orcs who had just gotten back from a hunt sat around the firepit and laughed in that uproarious way only extremely drunk people can. Vagud'Gorkil sat on top of the mountain behind the Citadel, looking down at the dimly lit city with a tiny glimmer in his eye. He tended to come up here once he was done with tending to his garden, when he wasn't just quite ready to return the chaotic and stressful life he had tried so hard to grow accustomed to, but just couldn't. But from here, with his plants and his vista, he could spend hours admiring the city that he had helped to build with his own two hands. He laid himself down on the cool baked clay of the mountain and stared up at the stars, in an almost trancelike state of stillness. "Ug, bruddah." A low, gruff voice said, snapping Vagud out of his nap. The red Gorkil's shot up, his muscles tensing up in preparation for a fight. He shot his head around, looking for the source of the intrusion, before finally noticing a large green Uruk scaling the side of the mountain. Vagud relaxed and let out a small sigh. "Ah, throm'ka, Othmgakh." He said and bowed his head to his Wargoth. Othmgakh smiled back as he heaved himself over the ledge, putting his head right by Vagud's feet. The adrenaline running through Vagud's veins was beginning to die down, but still left him on edge. "How did you know I was here?" Othmgakh let out a small, raspy laugh. “Lucky guess.” He said nonchalantly as he sat down right next to Vagud. “I came here, though, to ask you something very important?” “Would you like to resume being Wargoth of Gorkil?” Vagud stared at Othmgakh for a few several seconds, his mind racing. He turned his head and glanced back at his garden that laid down the hill from where they were, and then back to his Wargoth. He nodded. For the second time in his life, Vagud has claimed the title of Wargoth of Gorkil.
  17. Orcish Events of Axios (Year 1571-Present) This compendium of events lists all of the major events relating to Orcs throughout Axios. This is not meant to be an in depth explanation of what happened, but merely a record of the broad history and what we have gone through these past seventy years. This list will also be expanded upon as time goes on, however I hope that we will not be seeing anymore tragedies fall upon the Orcish race anytime soon. May Krug smile upon all of you, Vagud'Gorkil and Zlazh'Lur Year 1571 - Vailor falls into destruction while the Orcs sail through the Spirit Realm into the lands of Axios eventually splitting from the mass of Vailoric Ships and anchored at the Jungles of Asul in the city of San’Garath. Year 1573 - Rex Kharak’Raguk dies at the hands of a mysterious spirit, and Kulgarok’Lak, a notable shaman, succeeds him. Year 1574 - Kulgarok constructs a new city, San’Kharak, in the swamp not far from San’Garath. San’Garath is promptly abandoned. Year 1576 - Rex Kulgarok’Lak is challenged by Malgunuz’Raguk, who handily defeats Kulgarok and takes the title of Rex. A group of Orcs known as the Sarnites break off from the Uzg and establish their own settlement across from San’Kharak, claiming themselves to be the true Rexdom. A civil war erupts between the Sarnites and the War Uzg. Year 1577 - The Order of the Angathgul is formed and separates from the Uzg, making its home on Ceru, by Sutica. Later that year, The ‘Ivory Mandate’ is signed in Oren, stating that all Orcish tusks brought to the crown will be rewarded with a hefty sum of minas. Year 1579 - John I Owyn, Emperor of the Holy Orenian Empire, declares war on the War Uzg. As a response, the Sarnites reunite with the War Uzg and their disagreements are put aside in order to stand up against the Orenian menace. The first major engagement, known as ‘The Battle of Atlay’, is a decisive Orenian victory. Year 1580 - Vorgo’Yar claims Rexdom after Malgunuz’Raguk is imprisoned by the Skygods. Year 1581 - San’Kharak is evacuated right before Oren encircles the city and begins to siege it, the only people left to defend it being Vorgo’Yar, Dominus Khargak’Raguk, and the honorary Morka’Vorgor. The city quickly falls, with Khargak being slain at the battle, and Vorgo and Morka being brought to the Johannesburg Courthouse for trial, ending with both of them dying.. And with that, the War Uzg is disbanded and the remaining Orcs hide across Axios to try and recover from the absolutely devastating war they had fought. Year 1582 - The surviving Orcs begin to reunite and sail to the desert of Urguan as provided refuge by the Grand King of Urguan, Torvin Grandaxe, and founded a camp in the wasteland of Azaghol, where the Orcs lived as a loose band with little in the means of government. Year 1589 - Kulgarok returns and briefly claims Rexdom. However, very quickly he is challenged by Drokon’Ugluk, who beats Kulgarok and reforms the Orcish society into the War Nation of Krugmar. Year 1591 - A Warzone erupts between Urguan and Azaghol versus Orenia and the Dominion of Malin after Wood Elf scouts found Orcs in Azaghol also known as ‘The Battle of the Gray Peninsula’, which ends in a loss for the Orcs. Year 1593 - Rex Drokon’Ugluk helps form a Coalition alongside The Grand Kingdom of Urguan, The Kingdom of Courland, the Ivae’fenn, and Norland to fight against the warmongering Orenian Empire. Year 1594 - The Orenian Empire attempt to cross through a valley in the desert but are defeated by the Coalition forces in a fight known as ‘The Battle of the Gorge’, marking the first battle the Empire had lost in over a hundred years. Year 1595 - The Coalition battles for the unstable county of Lorraine which is famously known as ‘The Battle of Goldfield’. Year 1596 - Drokon’Ugluk is severely injured after a hunt, only being saved due to both a surgery performed by Murgosh’Raguk and some magic by the dark shaman Kulgarok. Drokon is severely altered by Kulgarok’s magic and the Rex goes a spree of killing many Wargoths and other Orcs who he believes are conspiring against him. Soon after, Kulgarok reforms the Clan of Dom, bringing with him a new era of dark shamanism. Year 1597 - Drokon is returned to his right state of mind, ending his reign of terror. Year 1599 - Rex Drokon’Ugluk, out of shame for what he had done and the countless he had killed, hands the title of Rexdom over to Orgoth’Braduk. With this abdication, the clan Ugluk is decreed to be absorbed into clan Gorkil. Year 1602 - The Clans Braduk and Raguk, in an attempt to shore up their lacking numbers, merge to form the Clan Braguk. Year 1606 - Rex Orgoth’Braduk abdicates Rexdom to Gurak’Yar. Year 1608 - A coup is attempted by the Wargoth Kuntklobbera’Raguk at a feast, leading to a short battle that ended with Kuntklobbera being stripped of his status, yet still in Orcish society. Year 1612 - The Braguk Clan breaks up, reverting to Clans Braduk and Raguk. Year 1614 - Gurak’Yar steps down, leaving a void in the leadership that is filled by Kulgarok’Dom. Immediately, Kulgarok is challenged and defeated by Eath’Lur, and is once again banished from Krugmar. Year 1615 - Rex Eath’Lur steps down and hands the title over to Kuntklobbera’Raguk a bit before the World Cactus Festival. Year 1617 - A Coalition is formed between the War Nation, Urguan, Veris, and Norland to fight against the newly reformed Oren. Year 1619 - Anti-Laureh’lin sentiment rises immensely, with a spree of raids and taunts from the Rex and other Orcs, leading the two nations to the brink of war. The tensions did not result in any major conflicts, but they persist for years afterwards. Year 1620 - The Shamanic Fellowship, a shamanic order like Angathgul (yet nowhere near as separate from the Krugmar), is founded. Year 1621 - Kuntklobbera'Raguk, in order to show his devotion to Leyd, changes his name to Leydluk'Raguk. Year 1627 - Leydluk leaves Krugmar on a pilgrimage, handing the title of Rex over to Yazgurten U'la'Yar, making her the first Goblin Rex. ((OOC: Thanks to Marijuanaology for helping me with creating this))

  19. Vagud feels obligated to reply, but really doesn't have anything to say. Instead, he retreats to his garden in hopes that things don't get ugly.
  20. ((Thanks, that's good to hear! This post took a really long time to write, and we're all really proud of it, so I'm glad you like it that much, even with all the errors I made in my writing. Hopefully this will be a step in the right direction to restoring us to our former glory.))
  21. Vagud stretches his arms out in front of him. "Urgh, no wriztz ur zo zore from writin dat hiztory..." He mutters under his breath to Othmgakh and begins to read through the history. After a few seconds, his eyes narrow and lets out a sharp breath through his nostrils. "Zkah, mi did nub proof read did vury hozh."
  22. The Library of Dragur towered over the treeline, shimmering in the hot midday sun. Despite this picturesque view, the Library stood silent and completely empty, save for one dark red Uruk, fanning through a book on the history of Aegis. "Come on, come on..." Vagud'Gorkil murmured under his breath, the fatigue of spending the night combing through the Library, trying to read up on early Orcish history. Dozens of books he had skimmed through, trying to find any references in any of the books in the Library. While he found a few nuggets here and there but there was nothing comprehensive enough to truly fulfill his needs. For the past month, the Elder had been going through nearly every library in the world, hearing the stories passed down by the truly old Orcs, but he felt there were so many gaps, so much lost knowledge. Not just in early Orcish history, but there seemed to be large gaps in the records throughout almost every period pre-Vailor. This frustrated Vagus to no end, and this frustration only grew as the fatigue of the past weeks grew and grew, until he slammed the book shut, forcefully shoved the book back in its place on the shelf and stormed out of the Library, his heavy footsteps disturbing the peaceful silence and reverberating throughout the building. Vagud vowed to things to himself. First, he would track down as much of this lost history as he could, to make sure that the acts of his ancestors would not be simply forgotten. And second, he would make sure that whatever history was still available would be safe and not lost. Once he returns to Krugmar, he would write a letter and circulate it to all the Orcs he could Throm'ka, brothers and sisters, I write to all of you asking for your help. It has come to my attention that, as time has gone by, we have lost countless pieces of Orcish history to the ages. While we have preserves much, we have simply lost too many of those who lives through or near these events to have the records of our history and heritage accurately and properly recorded. With our major connection to our ancestors, lutaumans, nearly extinct, I think it is time that we take steps to ensure that our ancestors will stay remembered, in both the good and bad things they have done. I refuse to let what has happened to our early history happen to our contemporary history. I will personally do all I can to track down this lost history, but I must ask all of you to send me records, bring me modern events that have happened that deserve to be saved and protected. Anything you can produce will be greatly appreciated. Mirdautas vras, Vagud Gorkil ((OOC: After combing through the old forum archives, I've realized that there were many very importanf RP posts that have been lost to the ages. I want to try and preserve as many Orcish RP posts as possible. Any truly important RP posts you know on the forums, please post them here so I can save them and make sure they are not lost on the inevitable purges on the archives))
  23. If anyone has any in depth info on the Rax Dom war or other Aegis Orcish history, please PM me or link the posts here!

  24. Vagud smirked and nodded approvingly of the terms. He thought back on the two wars he had fought in against Oren, wars that left even Orcs, who are renowned and feared for their ferocity and brutality, terrified due to the horrors they were subjected to. His friend and Rex Vorgo sacrificing himself so all the other Uruks could run to live another day, something almost unheard of in Orcish history. Being hunted down for his tusks, which were valued slightly more than an iron pickaxe. His stomach dropped as the images flashed through his head. With a low grunt, he turned away and headed off to his garden. "Mi hopez dat, in our attemptz to reztore our pride, we dun zet ourzelvez up fur repeatin wub happened again." ((We've come full circle. First Orcs were the ones saying that Oren and all that side was fueled by mainly OOC grudges or ambitions, and now it's Welves saying that Orcs are the ones that. I can't speak for Wud, but I've spoken with him a lot, IRP and OOC. Him, and many other Orcs, still hold massive grudges. For those saying that it's OOCly fueled, it very well could at least partially be. But, going back to the debate that the server went all over about the Oren bloc's repeated warclaims being more OOC fueled than RP, I will repeat my argument from then, as it is still very relevant. It might have OOC intentions, but it's also very grounded in RP. Groups hold grudges for a long time, even after there is a supposed admission on one side to try and sate them. It makes a lot of sense that, even after the Wood Elves tried to make up for what they've done, many Orcs still want more. A race as proud and war-driven as the Orcs would want to feel like they're on top again. ANY race or nation would. So how is it that you differentiate OOC and RP intentions, when it makes plenty of sense for the characters in question to have done those things?))
