  5. It's that time of year when it's almost a different year, and also people have Christannukah money. There's always a demand for art, especially around here where we have imaginative characters that can be hard to represent! Anyway, Rosediode and I are offering sketches for $1 each, in cold hard USD. The availability of slots will be updated daily. Keep in mind these are simple sketches!
  6. [A poster is nailed to the tavern in Linandria.] Many citizens are aware of our Prince, Artimec Caerme'onn! While we realize that he is a finely molded example of wood elven capability, there are some facts of our dear Prince of culture that need to be clarified. Artimec is not looking for a relationship right now at any time. Artimec is not interested in emotional support. Artimec is not interested in being a source of emotional support. Artimec will not marry or settle down or even commit. Artimec doesn't need a kind heart to fix him. Artimec tops. Thank you for your consideration, citizens of Linandria and the Dominion of Malin.

  8. Ski_king don't you spend your entire free time on this server trying to figure out ways to politically maneuver through the staff ranks much like your colleague here we're discussing
  9. "Alright cool stuff! So after discussing with the Emperor and the like, got it all sorted. I'll be handling this Warclaim and we'll get the chat set up for the War tonight. Could the Nation Leaders of Urguan and Oren both add me on skype (t_j_jackson18) and we'll get this started."
  10. There were red flags the second he sought a staff position before he was a month on the server.
  11. The messages, although varying in handwriting and art style, find themselves written, re-written and copied. However instead of being found in highly frequented areas, pieces of parchment are discovered under bar tables, in tree holes, between planks of wood and in bird's nests. Increasingly, drops of blood are found near the areas where they are stuffed away.
  12. A parchment is posted up on the Linandrian tavern as well as on the tree in the center of the city. The author is unknown. "There are several things our parents warned us about when we were toddlers! Among them: ORCS! and... THE MATING WITH THEM! Have we forgotten so quickly?! EANDYIL TORENA. Not only a member of a prominent Seed but a Sirame! Those who are dedicated to upholding the fabric of our society. [A sketch follows.] Not only do we permit interbred people in the Aspect's bastion, but we excuse further interbreeding. Do not accept this, fellow citizens! When those in power turn a blind eye, WE are those that uphold Malin's love!
  13. A copper skinned 'ame takes an unofficial stand by Linandria's fountain facing the inner city, wrapped in blue. She offers a mug of ale to all who would gather. "My kin. We've clearly adopted Axios as our home, and it accommodates us well. I've now lived here in these forest valleys longer than in my birthplace and we've reared our newest children here. And I fear, family, that the land we reap is in danger. Not from orcs or magic, but from ourselves. "Malin was the firstborn. He lived quietly for many years, taking his place as a uniter and a king when he realized how ignorant his children were. He taught us, formed the culture our descendants kept for the longest time. We exist in this manner but because of our earliest progenitor and our loyalty to him. I say to you, we've forgotten him. He has been gone so long that the structure he built is crumbling, and has crumbled before. Men like my father have smoothed new mortar over the bricks. But I tell you, it isn't enough. "We've lost our principles before. Those older than me remember the city-state Malinor. Those well-versed know that our cousins strayed long ago. Elven blood suffered each time. And today, we suffer - we certainly suffer! Look at the cinders and boiling sap made by dragonfire. Look how we must ward our gates to keep out unnatural creatures. While the godly forces aren't of the world, they threaten to collapse our civilization as would any storm created by the Aspect's wrath. "How could we, the children of the forest, the saviors of nature, us worshipers incur the anger of Cernunnos? It is the willful ignorance. Malin was the Aspect's first voice in man. He taught us much, and much we have chosen to forget. I may be young, but consider the severity that I have witnessed all of this firsthand in only forty years. Our people have neglected to leave our safe lake, to walk the dark canopied forest where beasts roam. How often have any of you left for worship in hunting? How many times have you seen children explore and climb trees? Who of you remembers to sacrifice what you take? "While there is no crime in it, there is a crime in ignoring our core principles. They are to praise the Aspect's bounty, to live alongside the world, to care for our kin, and to stay as one kind. White, grey and brown elves are all kindred, and all of them we must accommodate - however, there is clear distinction between elf and any other descendant. Elves lived as one, solid and homogenous for as long as we have existed. It profit nothing to turn into a cesspool, to degrade ourselves and debase ourselves and prostrate ourselves in the name of empathy. There are those who find love to extend to abomination. There are those that are blinded by sympathy. The unpleasant reality of life is that we must retain our principles beyond all else, and to worship the Aspects, to live as one and in peace with nature, we must act as nature intend. "Let this be a warning, and I will make it clear. Malin does not tolerate laxness or weakness of principle. The earth does not have sympathy. Those who still love what we as wood elves stand for, harden your hearts. The pretenses will be stripped away, and we will be a city of wood elves again." A transcript of the speech is copied and posted in the town center.
  14. Faeinn grunted angrily as she drew her whetstone across aurum. "I'm going to have to ensure my job security."
  15. I miss having Zhulik as #1 hubby and then #1 commander
  16. A woman gnashed her teeth and tore at the skin of her arms, sitting among worn stones at the corner of a city's edge.
  17. A lone elf scours the ashes, broken hands sifting through brittle rubble and burning cinders, searching for something to rebuild with. 'Father,' the elf pleads aloud, 'deliver us...' Bitter tears clean ash from cheeks coated in dust.
  18. -reserved- also i have to fix my tablet but i will do this
  19. Faeinn added the tract to her small, precious bundle, treasured under her pillowcase. As she slipped the brittle, fragile bark scroll under the rough cotton, she gazed at her collection. Her little holy book. The elf brought the stuffed pillow outside. She passed her eyes across the words, each one in succession from the earliest to the latest missive. She drank in their meanings until the sentences were meaningless. She swam in the concepts that she felt beating in her chest. She set her sacred text aflame. She had no need for its physicality, being imprinted in her soul. The next words of truth would meet a similar fate - consumed, and discarded, more permanent in her mind than in the world.
  20. Faeinn sighs heavily. "I think it's about time we brought our wayward kin back into the fold. Errant children won't escape their punishments."
  21. 'Those innocents of the Warhawkes are welcome to the Dominion,' a notice reads, posted throughout Linandria, Ker'nor, Riv'vallel, and Hae'lunor. 'The children shall not die for the crimes of the father. Return to the fold, wayward 'ker, and live in peace, without fear.'
