The ear-piercing sound of a wine glass sent into a stone floor rang through the Silver Citadel. The shards were spread in a pool of precious Visaj Red, candles illuminating them like arcane crystals in the light of a cold moon. At the desk in an office sat a fuming, pale Elf, fingers fixed in the air as if he still held his glass he had just tossed across the room. To a singular other person who stood in the corner, he growled; “They spread quickly. I will cleanse them faster.”

Haelunorian Letter to the Sable Principality of Vira'ker
Ankan replied to Ankan's topic in Arcas Elven RP Archive
[ ! ] Similar to the first, letters arrived to the Principality by air. Doves danced gracefully in their descent, a whirlwind of silvery feathered birds, a storm of serenity and peace. SECOND HAELUNORIAN LETTER TO THE SABLE PRINCIPALITY OF VIRA’KER issued on the 4th of Sun’s Smile, 1718. Addressed to, The Onyx Citizenry of the Sable Principality of Vira’ker The Regency Council, on the behalf of Prince Vaelor Syllar. You feed and shelter your children, and I feed and shelter mine. I have no intention of offering assistance or protection to the unreluctant, to those who would not offer the same for mine, so I shall not. I made you simple requests, which obliged you to nothing but peace, and you responded with hostility. What better path to deliver your next generation on is there but peace? So I grant you another opportunity to take my proposal. The efforts to reconcile are not uncomplicated. There are many incidents we will be forced to desist feeling malice for. The assault of a young ’thill girl named Estelle Haviryn before Aegrothond, or the Haelunorian interrogation of the ‘ame child recognised from a manor of dark magicians. With our first letter, I intended to show our desire to begin a rapprochement, Valah politics aside. I ask you once more, revoke your denouncement of the Mali’aheral as race-traitors, your active support of Aegrothondian and Fennic slander of my people, and I will retract all the condemning remarks from the Silver State. Let that be the fertile soil we plant a tree to grow a forest upon. The Silver State welcomes the Regents of the Regency Council to Haelun’or to further discuss and sign a treaty all are comfortable with. From fragments, peace will be restored. lomian’onn maehr’sae hiylun’ehya Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj @Malgonious @Dakirennis @FunkyBunch101 @KiiwiFruiit -
[ ! ] In stark contrast to the sable, shadowy dwellings and caverns of the Principality, white doves in vast numbers spotted the sky above it. Feathers glistered in radiant hues of platinum and silver, lit up by the cold moonshine. They spread letters written in neat italic handwriting to all of its citizenry. HAELUNORIAN LETTER TO THE SABLE PRINCIPALITY OF VIRA’KER issued on the 3rd of Malin’s Welcome, 1718. Addressed to, The Onyx Citizenry of the Sable Principality of Vira’ker The Regency Council, on the behalf of Prince Vaelor Syllar The Mali’ker and Mali’aheral are no enemies. I remember dearly when the Warhawkes’ sovereignty came threatened by opportunist officials of the former Dominion of Malin in Atlas. The Mali’aheral offered both assistance and protection, bolstering a long consanguinity between our people. In Arcas, you were invited to the Silver State of Haelun’or, and after lengthy discussion and negotiation, we decided to establish newfound respect and reverence to the respective nations and cultures. To that, we drank and feasted. The unfortunate circumstances surrounding the Elven Union, the hostility shown by Mali’ame of Alderyn, became an infected thorn in inter-mali relations. I wondered often what had happened, what had caused this resentment so quickly. Ominous denouncements were exchanged, a bizarre occurrence, for our people are peaceful and collected in nature. In a Valah capital we were pitted against one another, the Onyx and Silver host, a total collapse of our affinity. I write you, fair Mali’ker of the Principality, to make a simple request. A request to temper the realm and restore some sort of kinship. A request not just pressing, but obligatory to avoid future bloodshed. The peaceful Haelunorian domain of tall spruce, untrampled earth and raw granite will be preserved, protected at all costs, and I shy no means to do so. I am certain you share the same sentiments for your harmonious island and principality too. Should you reject our humble request, it can only be perceived as a display of your intention to go to war against the Mali’aheral and march on the Silver State of Haelun’or. I dare not think that is true. - : Revoke the grievous denouncements made against the Mali’aheral by Regents of the Regency Council, to which the Silver Council of Haelun’or shall do the same in exchange. - : Sign a treaty with the Silver State of Haelun’or, declaring our bilateral respect and assertion for the sovereignty of both nations and people. The treaty is attached below. In addition to the requests outlined above, the Silver Council of Haelun’or extend invitations to the Regents of the Regency Council to visit our blessed bastion under the assurance of absolute security from myself, Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj. Let this be an agreement to begin reconciliation, a concord to temper to the realm. From fragments, peace will be restored. maehr’sae hiylun’ehya Sohaer, Dimaethor Visaj

[ ! ] The sky was spotted by white doves in vast numbers, spreading letters written in neat italic handwriting over the Curonian capital. Peasants (if they could read...) and nobles alike would receive them. HAELUNORIAN LETTER TO THE KINGDOM OF CURONIA issued on the 3rd of Snow’s Maiden, 1718. Addressed to, The Citizenry of the Kingdom of Curonia Ser Charles Montagne, Lord Regent of the Kingdom of Curonia For long, the High Elves of The Silver State of Haelun’or and Kingdom of Curonia stood together. As friends in peace and allies in war, our people pledged to protect one another. As rebels and their cursed companions threatened the stability and hegemony of your Empire in the end of Atlas, I led my Silver Host to your assistance. In the wake of our many victories, we shared wine in flourishing, bustling Human and Elven cities and enclaves. Green and Silver- just as natural as Crimson and Silver. The unholy alliance your former prince signed with the Fennic herd was dagger in the spirit of all sincere, honest citizens of Curonia and Haelun’or alike. We wept, our friendship cast aside as a spent torch. We wept, knowing the betrayal of the Orenian states would have lasting consequences on the High Elven dominion and realm as a whole. The High Elves rejoiced at the news of Curonian independence anew, of the abandonment of the heinous collusion with the Snow Elves. We welcome this correction, and generously offer forgiveness for the betrayal committed by your former regent. In light of this, the High Elves extend a hand once more; a proposition to restore old harmony. Curonian officials are invited to the Silver State of Haelun’or to discuss specifics of this agreement to cement the reconciliation, a concord to temper the realm. From fragments, peace will be restored. maehr’sae hiylun’ehya Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj

The Hidden Silver Branch of the Visaj Family
Ankan replied to UmbreScye's topic in Silver State of Haelun'or
Slender, pale fingers trailed over the leather cover of the book, brushing off dust, dirt and web. In his dim office, the candles upon the chandelier above him were about to meet their end, the light lastly conceding the room to the dark. The Sohaer exhaled, a dry and somewhat jittery breath, opening the book. His gaze shifted between the pages and the Visaj pedigree, a content nod to conclude his read. “I welcome you, lost branch of Eledar. I always knew that Uppori had noble blood in her.” -
The Bloodline Archive [Outdated - 2019-2020]

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE HEIAL’LAURIRAN as issued on the 9th of The Amber Cold, 1717 In accordance to the Talonnii Act of 1717, Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj and Maheral Iaria Elervathar establish elheial’lauriran, a Council of Patriarchs and Matriarchs of recognised notable Talonniian. An absolutely necessary supplement to the Silver Council, the Lauriran have always been imperative for the principled and firm defense of tradition and maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. The Maheral acts as chair for the heial’lauriran, just as Sohaer does for the heial’thilln. The responsibilities of the heial’lauriran are as follows: [ ~ ]: The Lauriran act as overseers of the Okariran of the Silver Council, ensuring that councilors are held to the highest of standards, in unfeigned adherence with maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. [ ~ ]: The Lauriran are prioritised above all, but Maheral and Sohaer, to act as jury [parir’tir], during Purity Tribunals. [ ~ ]: The Lauriran propose and pass legislation with intention of preserving the unblemished purity of the bloodlines and citizenry. elheial’lauriran will initially be seated by: Maheral Iaria Elervathar Malaurir Iatrilemar Elervathar, patriarch of the Elervathar. Sohaer and Malaurir Dimaethor Visaj, patriarch of the Visaj. Patriarch/Matriarch of the Uradir. Edicts from the Maheral for the families above’s reascension to acknowledged notability will follow shortly. maehr'sae hiylun'ehya Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj

THE TALONNII ACT as issued on the 9th of The Amber Cold, 1717 Our bloodlines are sacred, for well over a century families both notable and nought have had their members and histories etched into the Bloodline Archive. Though for too long we have been blinded by egalitarianism in thinking all mali’aheral are superior when so few have acted to further the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. Thus, to record all the purity of each bloodline and afford special privileges to those who can prove their ancestor’s adherence to the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, the Talonnii system is to be established. The Definition of a Talonnii: [ I ]: A Talonnii is an elder family of Haelun’or, having inhabited in the silver walls for at least twenty five years and/or had contributed significantly to the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya via leadership or service. [ II ]: A Talonnii must have proof of a completely unsullied line - the further back in history the better. The Talonnii must have a record in the Bloodline Archives. [ III ]: A Talonnii must have at least FOUR members who live and participate within Haelun’or. Exceptions may be granted by the Maheral for special cases. [ IV ]: A Talonnii must have a matriarch or patriarch, who shall serve as a laurir. This laurir is hereditary via absolute primogeniture and initially the eldest Mali’thill member of the family shall take on the role. [ V ]: A Talonnii must be created by edict of the Maheral, which must be recorded in the archives by the Okarir’maehr. The Privileges of a Talonnii: [ I ]: A Talonnii is given special consideration in housing, for their members are more numerous and have remained in the city longer. The most respected amongst the Talonnii shall be given manors, the largest housing available within Haelun’or. [ II ]: The Talonnii matriarch or patriarch will be granted a seat on elheial’lauriran, the Council of Nobles. [ III ]: A Talonnii member is allowed to advise on laws and reforms passed by The Silver Council of Haelun’or. The Destruction of a Talonnii: [ I ]: A Talonnii can be destroyed for the following reasons: [ A ]: There are no members remaining of the family in Haelun’or. [ B ]: A trial has been conducted proving the impurity of the bloodline. [ II ]: If any of the aforementioned reasons take place, the Maheral may destroy the Talonnii by edict, however it may be regranted by appeal. maehr'sae hiylun'ehya Drafted originally by former Maheral Andria Fi'talareh and former Maheral Ceruberr Asul’Ailer, revised by Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj on the 5th of Malin’s Welcome, 1717. COMBAT LIBERALISM as issued on the 3rd of The Amber Cold, 1717 Following the Assembly of the Mali’thill 1717, several Blessed Citizens have suggested a rise in liberal sentiments among our people, either by formal letter or fleeting remarks in various conversations. As Maheral, and later Sohaer, I promised and pledged to uphold the principled stand against the dark, against the decayed and against the deficient and diluted. This stand has been maintained and strengthened, through crucial and effective crusades against both Dark Mages and the morally malnourished of the realm. Active and conscious practice of the Mali’thill philosophy is the sharpest weapon in our broad armoury by which we protect and ensure our unity and continuance as a people. All enlightened must make use of this weapon to further our cause. Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya is engrained in the spirit of all Mali’aheral, and the neglecting of it is neglecting of nature itself. It must be adopted and applied in all circumstances- without exception. Liberalism rejects a firm stand and undermines any attempts at establishing principle, for the liberal believes in derelict, unfounded peace and friendship. Letting IMPURITY slide for the sake of upholding this peace is not defendable, and must be fought as the impurity itself. Liberalism rejects the organised efforts of the Silver State to uphold maehr’sae hiylun’ehya in malicious pride of the liberal’s own opinions. Instead of obeying, preserving order, they demand special consideration. A half-hearted contribution to their people is a full-hearted capitulation to eventual decay. Liberalism rejects the importance of constant improvement and progression, a refusal to acknowledge mistakes and faults as they arise. The liberal renders themselves above criticism, taking immense pride in old achievements, all while remaining unequal to the major tasks of their people. All honest and upright adherents of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya must oppose these tendencies with all their heart. Liberals acknowledge maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, but turn from adopting it fully; impurity in essence. They justify their liberalism to themselves and others by claiming to be good Elves, but their morality is the morality of the lesser- a morality which leads to disunity, agitation and degeneracy. It is no wonder that the enemies of the Mali’thill welcome this cursed course. Fight liberalism as impurity itself. Dare to stand up for tradition, stop and correct fellow Mali’aheral when mistakes are made or muddied mindsets emerge. We will use maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, which is positive in spirit, to fight liberalism, which is negative. The front against the dark is here- in the Motherland. Larihei compels you. maehr’sae hiylun’ehya Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj @Kaiser @Ixli

BATTLE OF BERR’LIN as issued on 7th of Snow’s Maiden, 1717. High Elves during the Battle of Berr’lin, 1717. Long had the Druids sought to corrupt the Motherland, spreading their pernicious seed in the domain of the pure, to undermine the State and the ancient philosophy which was its foundation. The endeavors to purge the pests- proven Druidic spies- in Fi’halen had halted as the High Elves took the journey to Arcas. Was it mere coincidence that the enemies of the Silver State always managed to react to Sillumiran rallies as they happened, or was there some wicked magic at play? It was clear: The birch tree in the centre of the Berr’lin square watched and listened before sending its minions; birds or insects, to the Groves of the realm. There was a conspiracy against the pure, and it had to be dealt with. Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj gathered the Mali’thill to an area just off from the square, out of sight from the treacherous tree, providing each in the group an elegantly crafted Elven axe, both haft and head sprinkled with details. Under the command of the Sohaer himself, the children of silver marched into the plaza, quickly managing to circle the wretched weed. A short clash ensued, birch bark shooting in all directions, high elven hands covered in birch tar. A squirrel which had made its home in the tree- another servant of the druidic witches- fled over the walls, fleeing down the mountain. Victory was certain. The course was clear, the square even clearer. The druidic plague was removed from the city this day. A grievance, of some sort, maybe? maehr’sae hiylun’ehya Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj

Their Men Have Run from the Battlefield, A Shameful Display!
Ankan replied to mmat's topic in Arcas Elven RP Archive
Painting depicting the annexation of Alderyn, after Elven Union forces had CONCEDED THE PROVINCE without a fight. Dimaethor Visaj uncorked another bottle of wine, working through the ridiculous missives and letters from the rest of the realm. He laughed quietly, a huff of air escaping his nose as he came across the Dirt Elven propaganda. He turned his head, looking up towards the painting above him, shaking his head in disbelief before returning to his work. ”Odd. I haven’t seen Wood Elves in battle since King Kairn was at the helm.”- 20 replies

The High Elven Response to the Holy Orenian Empire issued on the 12th of The Deep Cold Addressed to, Joseph I, Holy Orenian Emperor Marius II, King of Haense Alfred Myre, Serene Prince of the Golden City of Ves Ecbert Devereux, Prince-Regent of Curon For rulers who speaks about justice, of right and morality, how was the long-standing High Elven loyalty to Mankind rewarded? During my 28 years at the helm of Haelun'or, I led our Silver host to protect yours without second thought, we broke bread in encampments on the way to Arcas and shared numerous bottles of wine to celebrate victories against the enemies of Mankind and Elves alike. Without letter or slightest concern, you shattered our relation, and sacrificed it to please the Fennic folly. Is this our reward? Is this just? You are building your new Empire on the corpses of those you betrayed. Silver and Crimson stood together. Our humble and peaceful domain, of stone, of spruce and untrampled earth, put in sudden and immediate danger of being drenched in the blood of Crimson and Sillumiran alike. Is this our reward? Is this just? You have declared your intention to kill my people, a display of utter deceitfulness and infidelity. You give me little choice, former favoured allies of mine. I can only be expected to act in the best interest of my people, and that interest is to keep them safe from harm. So I ask you; why should I not stand against you on the field of battle, when you wish to see my kin brought to ruin? Why should I not side with the Renatus Imperium, when they valued our loyalty, instead of selling us out in favor of a people who have often declared their wish to see Mankind brought to its knees and slaughtered. I weep to the grievous circumstances, the departure from sensible discussion, to the slanderous and dishonorable alliance you signed. Godfrey III and Imperium Renatum have upheld the pact between Man and Elf once more. The High Elven course is clear. The Fennic herd will be dispersed by the united roars of the Imperial Dragon and Silver Lion again. Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj

Dimaethor Visaj spoke a few words of ancient elven under his breath, having just said his personal farewells to the Elfess. ”Every Mali’aheral who departs the Motherland leaves a hole in the spirit of our people. Lomian’onn- let us work to fill the void, together.”

To Pass on the Maheralship issued on the 1st of Malin’s Welcome, 1715. EMPOWERED BY ANCIENT TRADITION, I, MAHERAL DIMAETHOR VISAJ, 12th MAHERAL OF THE SILVER STATE OF HAELUN’OR BY ANCIENT AND 27th BY EXTENDED SUCCESSION, PASS ON THE SACRED DUTIES AND TITLE OF MAHERAL TO IARIA ELERVATHAR. Dimaethor Visaj leading a Purity Tribunal A rise from ruin, a revival of tradition and effective struggle against decadence. A 27 year long tenure of unbroken progress, of triumph. I took up the torch after all was dark, and guided our people to the reclamation of the Motherland, tower by tower, hall by hall. Seldom before have the Mali’thill been in such a secure and favourable position. All pieces are in play, the Mali’aheral have found sanctuary and the course is clear. Witness the restoration of an hierarchy of old, the return of the Sohaership, and to pass on the mantle of guidance to the Most Blessed, the rightful Maheral; Iaria Elervathar. I will continue to lead our people, resume the efforts to cleanse the dark, but as Sohaer, as rightful ruler of the Mali’thill. Now we rejoice around a state focused on our culture and our ways. A state focused on the pure. So I have spoken - so the founding generations of our people wished of our nation. So as the people dreamed in the past, we now determined march on.
