haelun'llum (Sculpture) Visaj, Eledar. Asulon, (1365). Odessa Visaj paces out of her residence, into the Haelun'or square. She looks as healthy as ever, any clearly noticable traces from the assault had disappeared. She wears a new dark gray cloak after having transformed the rest of the ruined dress into a new outfit. She shifts into the middle of the square, offering a respectful nod to the present 'aheral and a short "karin'ayla". She seems slightly absent, gaze wandering and eyes slightly narrowed. She plants her heavy gaze on the Sohaer Cenwall, raising a hand in an obvious gesture to gather the attention of him and the others. Following a second of silence, she raises her voice, clear, but with more intensity than usually. Following the short speech, letters are sent to several contacts of the State, most certainly reaching The Bloodied Elves in their barracks. "Beauty shames the ugly. Death shames the living. Purity shames the impure -- and the Ideal of it shames all of us. Without shame, another grave danger emerges: that of permanent stagnation and absolute uselessness. Without shame, there is no will to improve, to refine, to purify -- to progress. The Mali'ata of The Bloodied Elves are dangerous, not because of their impurity, but because of their shamelessness. Their absolute immunity to shame is not just proof of the mental disorder they possess, but also seem to indicate something worse; impure blood. No true descendant of Larihei and his compatriots; blessed through the golden pools, can fall to such a distant place from his way. A band, whose leader and present members, had no second thoughts about mutilating a Mali'thill, can not call themselves protectors of purity. The impact of magic on Mali'aheral body and soul is well recorded. and the tradition goes back many centuries. Most of our prominent figures of purity, alive or dead, have practiced magic; a skill they have mastered and used for the progression of Mali'aheral science, knowledge and culture. The actual act of cutting a Mali'thill -- spilling pure blood; is the true danger for our kin. Be it from a lesser - or fellow Mali. Your hypocrisy is clear and an affront to what your claimed ancestors helped build. All Mali who join the ranks of these bandits will be declared impure and their names remembered in gold -- for an eternity. Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya! Okarir'maehr Odessa Visaj"

--- Restoring our Superiority: Impurity among us 8th of The First Seed, 1651 The meaningless catch words and slogans, the advocacy of 'new purity’ by impure leeches, the failure of the conservative to conserve, the inability of the progressive to progress, the murder of intellect in the intellectuals, and above all: the hanging, drawing, and quartering of peace by pacifists who in the frenzy of their hysteria or paranoia howl, dance, and shriek for war. All these things indicate something more than mental and, or, physical impurity; they indicate a widespread collective psychosis. The spirits’ cancer and the trumpet call for the dark. The doctrine of purity tell us of our innate calling for perfection. After realising and acknowledging our faults and shortcomings, we improve, build, adapt. The default restless state of ‘aheral psyches is perhaps our greatest blessing of them all. Yet the Sohaerate has stagnated socially, politically and economically. The Sohaer Cenwall Maeyr’onn and Medi’ir Arelion Laurir’ante have long walked the thin line between tolerable and intolerable behaviour. The declarations and accusations of their impurities are lapped with short periods of reformation. It is apparent that even the Sohaer and his Medi’ir themselves have fallen victim to the collective psychosis. And their sickness has forced their personal journeys to an halt. For the restoration of Haelun'or and the revival of our kin’s consciousness, we require a ‘vision’. We require leaders; fierce and honest in their rule. We require a vanguard of non-compromising Mali'thill. Without this, the people perish. The arts are decaying, our music languished, honour is but a memory. This is a call for our people to reunite with reality. Mali’thill of all background: seek guidance. Learn from former Maheralan, engage in discussion with your peer in the Eternal College. Contribute to the State; request responsibility and duties from Elheial’thilln. Join the Sillumiran; restore the Silver Law. This is how we begin to eradicate the disease. This is the first step towards truly redeeming superiority; our place in the realm. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya! Okarir'maehr Odessa Visaj

Odessa Visaj sits in her office, carefully tuning the family harp when the word of Athedil's departure is delivered to her residence. She puts the harp to the side, releasing a deep sigh. The formerly so gloriously white lily on her desk is decaying, seemingly more rotten each minute. Wizened petals, weak in colour, spread out around the vase. The lily has died. Odessa Visaj soon takes to the square, proud in her posture as ever, but her facial expression paints a different picture. She speaks. "Mali'aheral. The time for remending has come. The Malady of Impurity will be rooted out and the forces of it eradicated. The Children of Silver will stand proud soon again. Let the Restoration of Supremacy begin. Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya."

It's been a week since the creation of the feedback post on the unavailability of Quartz and we still have gotten no answer. Disappointing.

it's just that people didn't like the answer so they make a second thread.

The consequence of unfinished builds and our inability to expand will have the opposite effect of what you are going for; a less engaged community, leading to lesser votes. It's no fun RPing when the city feels so incomplete. RPly it makes little sense, how we could raze one single tower and become insanely rich. How did we afford it in the first place, you can ask.

Odessa Visaj has once again spread small notices around Haelun'or, paper fine, handwriting careful. She soon returns to her residence, the smell of old books soon conquered the space in her lungs which pure, clean Haelun'or air had possesed. She strides over the stone floor, reaching for one of the finer bottles of wine before ascending to the top floor, which was occupied by her office and small library. She unbottles the wine, pouring herself a generous glass of the precious white liquid. She sits down in her chair, spotting a faint smile as she eyes the clean paper in front of her, and small jar of wet ink beside it. Odessa takes a sip of the wine, dipping a fair, silver coloured feather in the black ink, before engaging in her most beloved form of art; writing. "As I assume my duties as Okarir'maehr, part of Elheial'thilln, I am pursuing advisors, or assistants, whom will aid in the re-instation of the Eternal College and other tasks relevant to my responsibilities. I seek Mali'thill, devoted to Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya, respectful in their way. Advisors and assistants in my service will be compensated in Minas. Interested Mali'thill are asked to speak with me in person, or leave a letter by my residence. Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya, Odessa Visaj, Okarir'maehr." -- ((I am looking for people interested in taking up the role of helping Odessa in her quest of making Haelun'or great, offering a grand RP opportunity. I welcome all, old as new, High Elves to apply. It's a great way of quickly learning the oh so fascinating Mali'aheral culture. For any OOC questions regarding it, do not hesitate to contact me. Letters may be left in a response, in a PM or as a book in Odessa's actual IC mailbox.))

To the public notice board in the Haelun’or Tavern, a poster with is pinned. The poster is of a bright, fairly sizable paper, the handwriting which covered it’s surface fine and easy to read. “On ‘Duty’” the heading read, in bright blue ink. Under it, a small painting of swan, with bright watercolors could be found. -- On ‘Duty’ 6th of Malin's Welcome, 1647 beak raised pompously, the swan spread her wings wide, perfected posture. Like the swan takes pride in it’s supreme reign over the pond, we, the Mali’aheral, ought to take pride in the passion and art as well as the fruit our commitment to it bears. On the path of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, ‘knowledge and health’, hard work and sacrifice for your kin is absolutely necessary. Idleness, a lack of meaning and responsibility, leads to decline of the individual’s moral, and thereby in-effect her purity, as well as the decadence of our blessed Silver Sohaerate of Haelun’or. All Mali’thill, Children of Silver, must seek an occupation and contribute to the progression of Mali’aheral society and science. For it is her duty. Like the swan patrols the pond with vigor and pride, we must seek our own calling. Responsibility comes in many forms, and each must find her own. The poet enriches our lives with the beauty of words. The sillumir, a diraar of his blood, protects us from the horrors and foes clawing at our city. The tailor blesses our people with fabulous wear, dresses and robes worthy of touching Mali’aheral skin. They are all united in the equal importance of their contribution, and pride in their profession. Idleness and ‘unemployment’ are to be a thing of the past. The Mali’thill will progress through activity and passion. I call for all Mali’aheral of Haelun’or to seek out Okariran of the Council, the Maheral or Sohaer to announce their preferred profession and responsibility. Her contribution is not just necessary, it is also her duty. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, Mali’aheral tayna’fyu! Odessa Visaj

The glade bathed in the cold light of a full moon. Continuing down the path, Odessa Visaj came across a sight she did not expect, but there it was. Before Odessa stood a monument to an old Silver Council. The beauty lied not in the exquisite quartz, or even in the craftmenship of the thing, but in the fact that even now, many years since it's erection, without maintenance, the monument is still strewn with thousands and thousands of flowers. "kaeeyae’leh elnealu yallrehih." Odessa whispered, folding her hands in front of her. Here, if nowhere else, the memory of it's grand reign, still lives.

Odessa Visaj swiftly paces over to the Ballot Board with a small notice, written on fine lightly tinted white paper. She observes the empty board for a few moments before leaning in, pinning the notice at the top of the board. She reads it once more, nodding slowly to herself, her hands returning to her sides, before she just as quickly returns to her residence. "Blessed Sohaer, Blessed Mali'aheral. It would be a pleasure to serve my people as Okarir. My devotion for Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya has never been stronger. Odessa Visaj."

"Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya, Maheral'aher. ay'Larihei!" Odessa Visaj says, nodding in Athedil's direction.

Odessa Visaj ascends from the caverns, striding into the middle of the Haelun’or square. She has her hands folded in the shape of a diamond in front of her stomach, chin raised high. Reaching the center, she turns around in a slow motion, seeking contact with the fellow present Mali’aheral. Having gotten the attention of a few, she speaks, voice raised a tad above the common volume of a Mali’aheral conversation. “Mali’aheral, blessed Sohaer Cenwall Maeyr’onn and Okariran, It was with heavy heart I received the word of Maheral Athedil Acal’elor’s resignation from his recently appointed office. His departure from politics is a tragedy for us all, for Athedil Acal’elor would have been a grand and strong guide through the, with certainty, awaiting struggles for us in Atlas. His commitment to our cause, Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, and purity, is something worthy of our remembrance and our deepest gratitude. In his place, the Sohaer and Okariran, are to install Ceruberr Asul’Ailer as Maheral. Let me remind you, Ceruberr Asul’Ailer has served as a long-term Medi’ir and during this time, our Silver State faced an era of moral and political decay, the government straying far away from Larihei’s enlightened principles. During Sohaer Cenwall Maeyr’onn’s reign, the Children of Silver have begun to regain their dignity. We need a Maheral to assist in the creation of more order and the building of an even greater supremacy. We need a Maheral to guide us away from another fall into an age of stagnation, for Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya calls for us to progress. We need a Maheral who prioritises the well-being, prosperity and most importantly, purity, of all Mali’aheral. It is therefore I, Odessa Visaj, following Athedil Acal'elor's resignation, nominate myself as Maheral. Blessed Sohaer Cenwall Maeyr’onn and our blessed Okariran are asked to reconsider their decision and acknowledge my opposition. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya!” She concludes her speech with another slow and controlled swirl, meeting the gazes of the audience. She remains in the middle of the square.

Odessa Visaj receive the news of the alliance while drinking her morning tea, skimming through her calender and appointments. "An old alliance resurrected. Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya!"

On the notice board, a wall in the Tavern and by the reception in the library, short letters, written on fine lightly darkened paper are pinned to the wood. Fine nails out of pure silver are used, making noticeable marks in the wood. The letters is written with extraordinary proper handwriting, no letter or character bleeding out of bounds. An Elf with sharpened eyes and good memory could recognise the handwriting. The letter’s layout was in classic Odessa Visaj-style and if that wasn’t revealing enough, the Visaj family emblem, which had grown to be standard on anything she wrote, was present at the top of the letter. -- Blessed Mali’aheral of Haelun’or. The return of the Sohaer, now held by former Maheral Cenwall Maeyr’oynn, and the appointment of Athedil Acal’elor as Maheral has brought new hope to our nation, which have long been in decline. A new era of political stability and absolute purity awaits. We ought to cease this moment, in the spirit of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, and work hard for the advancement of our culture. For that purpose, I have decided to honour my many great ancestors, and release a selection of the collection which compiles art and poetry, which members of the proud Visaj bloodline has painted and written over the course of our long existence. The art and poetry are from several eras, before and after Larihei and the founding of Haelun’or. The dating of the pieces are often mere estimation. Go forth and create art. Paint the world, colour our minds and make the abstract accessible. The Visaj Art and Poetry Collection, The First Edition, will be available in the library from now on. kaean’leh chul’bilokae! Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya! Odessa Visaj ((The following is the actual collection, which can only be read by the who visit the library. The poems have all been written by me, in an effort to learn the fundamentals and basic structure of classic poetry. They are also a way of me trying to improve my English, my vocabulary in particular, which has struggled a lot since it became my third most spoken language. Most of the poems are classic Shakespearean Sonnets, but there are one Petrarchan (Italian) Sonnet and one Free Verse thrown into the mix. I have a few Haikus as well, shorter poems, that I wish to keep for later, perhaps for the second collection? The painting is a classic from Gao Xingjian. Beautiful piece of art. I appreciate OOC feedback in messages, if you have taken the time to read them!)) The Art and Poetry of the Visaj family, The First Edition: Visaj Art and Poetry in Aegis Featuring the works of Fiandrieth, Narcisse and Eledar Visaj We cherish our streams' splash, And our brooks' leap, The dim forest's subtle sweep, Our starry sky, summer flash, All, all, nature's cache, Our hearts keep deep, Here is us sweet, here is us well, where we cultivate our earth, How destiny casts it's spell, Our realm, our land, our citadel, What in Aegis is more worth, To cherish dear, and in dwell? Visaj, Fiandrieth. Aegis, (~660). I dream of a statue, with arms spread wide, with Mali'aheral pride, giving refuge to the few, standing up against the imprudence they spew, providing the Mali'thill a guide, in it's great shadow they stride, a bulwark protecting the ideals we pursue, Haelun of Mali'aheral, urging for our kin unified, confidants of the avantgarde are several, for whom our prosperity are central, soul and heart purified, Our statue shelters us from elullral. The place of racial unity is Haelun'or...

The words of Maheral Cenwall Maeyr’onn after the defeat against Prince Kairn of Leyulin had reached Haelun’or’s citizens, even the ones not present at the time of the assault. Odessa Visaj, who had been taking cover in the comfort of her tower, roams Haelun’or in the night after the chaotic battle slowly came to an halt, the flames of the Alchemists fading away into darkness. On a few chosen spots she attaches the letter, but a few copies are also dropped off in mailboxes spread around the city, written on fine paper, using small fine nails of silver. The letter is marked with the emblem of the Visaj family, a harp. Even if taken down, the nails would leave noticeable damage in the wood. As the sun rises, Odessa Visaj is nowhere to be found, her defection is successful. Blessed Mali’thill, The bronze-touched outlash in attempt to suppress our grand superiority has shaken our blessed Silver Cihi to it’s core. The stench of burned Mali’aheral skin is one we can never be allowed to forget. The Silver Council and the Maheral are taking us in a course that is a threat to our race’s survival. Let us be reminded, this is not the first time there has been an assault on our sovereignty. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya puts fear and envy into the fragile souls of our enemies, the lessers. It must be highly provoking, knowing and seeing your inferiority, like a splinter in their finger. The attack is therefore understandable, even if it is not forgivable. The ultimate treachery in this great ordeal is not the one of the lessers. It is the treachery of the Silver Council and our Maheral. The Silver Council acts like a royal Valah court, not one following the principles of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. For we believe in peace, and prosperity through peace. They provoke great disharmony and aggression in our relations with lessers, seeking to make enemies, not allies who are supportive of our principles. We need scientific progress and absolute purity, not war in other parts of the realm. Blessed Mali’thill, Order and peace will have to be restored again. Refuse the Silver Council’s call for war. Let the banging on the drums of war echo without answer through your halls. Leave your weapons of steel at home and wait for the rebuilding of a State of the purest of Silvers in another era. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, High Standards lead to Absolute Purity. Former Dean of the great Silver College, Odessa Visaj

Odessa Visaj receives the news through a letter arriving to her tower. She reads the title of the notice before folding it back up, placing it in a folder of paper under her desk. She fetches her writing supplies and a couple of pages with fine paper before sitting down, getting to work. Before letting the tip of her inked feather touch the paper, she speaks quietly for herself. - Reformation.. The mere word makes me think impure thoughts.

I reckon other lliran may disagree with my times for attaining more skill in the arts of music. How can you declare yourself mali'thill?: I am a Visaj and my bloodline consists of nothing but mali'thilln. Are there any other details that you wish to relay? What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: Aythyinae How old are you?: I'm 17, soon to be 18. Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes. I'm fully aware of that. Have you applied to this server before? (Please link all past applications): This is my first application to LotC. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: I have read the rules thoroughly and I, of course, agreed. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: "Players who willingly kill their characters (i.e forum post/RP.) have seven real life days to reverse the perma-kill. After the seven days are up, the perma-kill is no longer reversible and the character must stay dead. This does not cover suicide however, if your character continuously kills themselves, they’re perma killed." I think this rule is important. Meaning that a perma-kill is a real perma-kill. Very often in roleplaying, people tend to get extremely attached to their character and regret their decision after a while. This rule will raise the quality of the roleplay by eliminating that issue. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): I found the rules to be clear and easy to understand. I'm not the greatest of Minecraft players, so I might have misunderstood some Minecraft terms.. I have no questions about them yet though. I reckon I'll understand them as soon as I get into the game. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I actually got recommended LotC by a friend many years ago, but I declined the invite. I have recently found some more interest in roleplaying and Minecraft again, so I thought I would give this a shot! Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is acting out of your own character, playing someone else (most often someone/something fictional). What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using knowledge in character that you gathered outside of roleplay. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is most easily explained as roleplaying your character better, stronger, faster (list goes on) than he or she really is. Using invented-on-the-fly spells or suddenly rolling in a tank into the High Elven village is powergaming! In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Komnenos has approved of me playing this character, joining his family. Character’s name: Odessa Visay Character’s gender: Female Character’s race: High Elf Character’s age: 311 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): "High standards lead to absolute purity." That was the family motto, engraved into the fragile neck of a beautifully crafted harp. Odessa Visay kept the harp perfectly still as the boat she was travelling in crashed against the waves. It had been her only company and possession for many years. Odessa had left the safety of el'cihi after reaching adulthood and ventured out to refine her musical talents. It had absolutely not been a journey without setbacks, but she arrived at Armaluna, an island famed for it's unique bard college. She had only been on Armaluna for a few years before the great catastrophe happened, leaving all of Asulon in ruin. Together with a shy and mellow wood elf from the island, she was forced to set sail, lost and far away from ever reaching shore. The two girls, being as naive as they were, had brought more instruments and books than life necessities. Only by luck, would they later that week drift into the beaches of Elysium, where they would find enough food and water to get around. When she later was unable to find safeguard amongst her kind, being in a time of turbulence, she stayed with the wood elf she had gotten to know, practicing the arts of music together. Odessa had at around this time, begun engraving in her family's motto into the fragile neck of her most valuable instrument, her harp. The harp had been her instrument of preference since she began showing interest in music and she would rather be hungry for days, perhaps weeks, than giving this specific piece away. The wood elf, who had accompanied her for all this time, decided her journey had to come to an end, finally settling amongst her kin. And for the first time, Odessa were left all to herself. The engraved words on her harp reminded her of the importance of blood. It drove her insane, not contributing anything to her kin nor family. By caravan, she rode with her harp, straight in her back and a slight smirk across her lips. She would make her return to el'cihi. Personality Traits: Just like most High Elves, Odessa is very proud of her heritage. She believes very deeply in the importance of purity, loyal to the city and kin. She's a very forward and socially active High Elf, often the one engaging in conversations. Her passion for music is doomed to shine through in most of her interactions with others. Ambitions: While Odessa has no specific goals or ambitions, she wants to be integrated back into the High Elven society, reunited with family and proceed to assist her kin to grow in numbers and strength. Strengths/Talents: Odessa's skill with the harp and her passion for music is her one biggest asset. She has a great singing voice, which have made her be seen as a musical talent. Apart from the musical stuff, she is extremely competitive and refuses to lose any discussion, no matter how small the issue is. Her loyalty to the Silver Council and City can both a strength and a weakness, but most often a strength, allowing her to fit into the rest of the group. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Her competitive way of being has it's downfalls and she struggles choosing her battles wisely. This, in combination with being overly convinced about the importance of High Elven purity, makes for a destructive combination. Odessa lacks physical strength and she is built quite small, making her far from effective in combat. She has never worn armor, nor learned how to properly use any weapons. Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Just like most High Elves, Odessa is slim and tall. She has the very common High Elven characteristic of blue eyes and blonde hair. Appearance, please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin:
