Can somebody explain to me why all people do is complain about how villains doing killing roleplay is bad but as soon as we move to something that actually offers a significant conseqeunce and/or development as opposed to murdering a character the victim with a missing eye or limb, who was fully capable of participating in combat with several severe fleshwounds and broken bones beforehand, suddenly becomes as delicate as a flower and dies of “shock” or some bullshit stroke. It’s pretty annoying and scummy, and quite honestly I feel like purposefully dying to be respawned at monks with no repercussions should be considered meta or a force PK. There are even times somebody will have their eyes/arm removed and then be HEALED specifically so that they don’t die but have to RP the consequences but they SOMEHOW end up dying anyway only to be revived with a new, fresh arm/eye.

A particular, Krugmar-hardened man by the name Vanrael Uialben inevitably caught wind of his father’s passing. Despite holding the man with relative distaste, he found himself lost in his thoughts, staring fiercely at a wall. His gauntleted fist crumpled into a tight ball at his side as Van’s heritage-based, unbridled anger surfaced for the first time in years. He bit down hard on his lip, crimson liquid beginning to drip from it as the elf absolutely seethed with fury at the news off his father’s death. “Who did this to you, father. . . ?” A marching elf would gasp as Mystery’s soul drifted toward his own. If he could, he’d lift a hand to wave, or call out to him in order to halt the deceased entity in its tracks; though, despite what the desperate, hell-damned soul attempted, the soul of Terr’hi Uialben drifted onward. He would be finding himself landing in a much more suitable place in the afterlife, one belonging only to the kings. Even when he no longer knew it to bee possible, the deceased spirit of Hiren Taliame crumpled to his knees and wept in a place that only the cosmos and other tainted souls could see. The desert was little when it came to shattering the elf’s spirits, but seeing the passing of his closest friend was a trauma. “H-He took you too. . . What is going on up there?!”

“Weak!” D3 cackled as the news somehow reached him, the youthful adolescent pridefully crossing his arms over his chest, “This happens to the weak! I can’t be weak!”

You’re doing God’s work

Some would find, after a few months of absence from a particular Sutican elf, his corpse in a cavern at the far back end of the city, left to rot over the course of a relatively extended period of time. The elf’s once-bright eye which glowed vibrantly throughout his life had dimmed in the years leading up to his demise due to Oshoggdos’ clutch upon his soul. However, the lacerations of his neck indicated that he was killed by means of another mortal. However, the way in which he passed into the afterlife is was unimportant; all that mattered was that the elf was now deceased, and no longer walked the mortal plane with the descendants. While many would view this with a degree of indifference, Hiren could only hope that the few people he had left to care about would let the the elf live on in the back of their minds. Upon reaching the afterlife, he uttered out a long list of apologies for both being a disappointment of a prodigy in the real world, and allowing his life to be cut so short, thus abandoning those he cared about. After such, he’d begin his eternal march through Ebriaetas. The Behemoth’s first Unsound mage was dead, punished to unrelenting suffering in the afterlife; however, good lingered in the troubled elf’s soul, even in death. Above the corpse is a phrase, enscribed in the blood of the murderer’s victim. "To Order I serve, the Aenguls and Daemons be damned. To Order I am, though enacted through chaos. This soul is part of the disorder that plagues this realm, though Order is stalwart. Order claims all. I have claimed him. Another soon. The Lord of Chains prevails." OOC: I honestly love this character like a child and am crying as I write this. Thanks to everybody that made playing this character such an enriching experience. Playing Hiren has made me learn a lot about myself in the real world, not exclusively a pass time, and it’s sad giving up a character with so much depth.

Hiren read his letter a few times over before, like all of his belongings, it would miraculously disappear into thin air,. However, rather than joining the rest of his seemingly endless collection, the letter would be organized into a special “cabinet”-- one in which only the most important things were kept. ”Although I refuse to be tricked by her motives, I do hope that the Archaengul continues to guide you.”
