  1. I see you made this pre-emptive strike expecting the war on Aaun to go through.
  2. "Perhaps the nature of our enemy will show itself yet again. A peace deal ought to never have been signed under duress. I, however, remain hopeful." spoke the Burgundy Lord after a very long non-discordian diplomatic talk.
  3. "That is, naturally, why he was found by your chambers within the Royal chapel. Because you either do not visit the house of GOD, any of you, or you willfully ignore the rotting corpse therein. I too was nearly met with a similar fate when my keys turned to dust before me and only by the grace of your mother Amelya was I saved." lamented Tiberias upon reading the missive. For he knew the truth, deep within his heart.
  4. "My men will never march hungry again." spoke a most satisfied Tiberias as he finished setting up a mass delivery.
  5. "Men were not meant to endure two-hundred years of suffering. We were not meant to pass our woes unto our children. We do not live for thousands of years. We live in the now. And now something will happen. The despoiler's rule will come to an end." spoke Tiberias, banner aloft before his men. ✠
  6. Re-hide this post if you were going to hide it in the first place, cretin.
  7. TO THE FLOCK; If there was any doubt that my cause was just and true, let it be cast aside. As of last Saint’s Night, the decomposing body of James Marcel Whitespire was discovered and recovered from the tower of Whitespire, within the Royal Chapel chambers. He lay slumped against the wall beside the Chapel’s altar, his body both liquified and stuck to the floor, as confirmed by Mattia Cardinal Andrikev. He had been left there to rot, presumed since his murder. As if a cruel mockery, this man was denied burial for years and it took one of our own to free him finally. Thus my hand is forced, Charles. @Olox_ You will next see me upon the field of battle. Investigation or not, thy kind are all of a piece - complicit in every act. I will deliver you to the church. You will have your trial, and I will have the rest of the cancer you’ve left behind disposed of. Signed; Tiberias of The Middenland Attached to the missive is a very well painted rendition of the scene, depicting the decomposing gore in all it's detail. It should go without saying that the sign was omni-checked by a mod and is authentic.
  8. A response to The Church ✠ YOUR HOLINESS; To plunge the world into war is not a decision mine alone. Where was this sentiment from the church when the Midlands burned? Alas. I fear that your pleas would have served a better purpose directed elsewhere. The Alstions’ assassins have left me disfigured and scarred, but not dead. The attempts to silence me have failed and brought only light to their own master’s depravity. Their men came to Blackworth expecting a meagre force, and in their attempt to take my life they claimed another and summarily lost their own. As GOD is my witness, among the others who fought for their lives at Illation, I have his every right to smite this craven ‘Lord’ where he stands. Respectfully, I rescind your request on behalf of Charles II. My ire will not interfere with your investigation. Should fate allow, I will be the one to hand this worm to you. Signed; Tiberias of The Middenland
  9. A letter to Charles II ✠ KINSLAYER; King Charles the Second of Aaun. Your rule is weak and plagued by hypocrisy. Your Apostolic kingship harbours darkspawn, and you have committed the cardinal sin of slaying your own brother. You have spurned every attempt at a unified heartland, you have treated your subjects like dogs, and now you too shall die like a mutt. Upon my name as Tiberias, in expiation for my name, you shall answer before GOD for your crimes. Signed; Tiberias of The Middenland This letter is made public and spread throughout the lands.
  10. As Tiberias begins to organize the transport of his men and their equipment, a letter of castle-ownership is amusingly left behind upon his desk. It reads as following . . .
  11. The Blackvale Compact ✠ ✠ ✠ Allow the following to illuminate the negotiations between Tiberias van Aert and Adrian of Valfleuer, confirmed in the proper year and to go into formal effect forward. Though the Heartlands erupts in peace, the Blackvale Company shall obey the will of the Mother Church, as urged to them by Adrian of Valfleur, and act under the following premises of their position within the Heartlands: I) The Blackvale Company shall remain outside of all conflict within the Heartlands, as instructed of them by the Holy Church, and not draw their blades in violence. II) The Blackvale Company shall heed and obey the instructions of the Mother Church and act at their disposal in its entirety until the end of the conflict in the Heartlands. III) The Blackvale Company shall vacate Fort Roche, in possession of the Crown of Aaun, which had been given to them as a place of rest and sanctuary as they had entered discussions with the High Pontiff, for its use no longer applies. Signature Tiberias van Aert Adrian of Valfleur
  12. We will be watching you . . .
  13. The Blackvale Vrijkorps On the Heartlander strife ✠ COMPLACENCY IS SIN; To idle is to invite the devil. Thus say the Lords of Burgundy no longer shall we watch the countryside burn around us. Betrayal does not so easily heal, and as such shall the attempted murder of Tiberias the Young by his majesty Charles the Second not go forgotten. We see the squabbles of Lords and Ladies, and your lack of knowledge in the art of war projects a weaker Heartland. You bring courtesans and peasants untrained to bout, carrying naught but cutlery, as seen at the late battle of Enswerp. So we, the men of Blackvale, prepare ourselves for yet another campaign to come, and offer our services. Thus we claim our spot in this strife by blade alone. To be wielded by he who dares and feared by he who does not. With or without you, the Hound shall feast again. Signed; Tiberias Hadrian
  14. Considering this has happened with or without my involvement, both to my favor and not for years now, I am curious to see how that pattern will definitely change in the future, with or without my involvement.
  15. You have been part of a nation that regularly fosters for server-wide coalitions to prevent dominant powers from rising, like you are some sort of LOTC NATO, and a nation that openly admits to curbing it's own growth out of fear for internal struggles, for years. I know not your current relations with that playerbase, but it is not one to talk. It would be nice if somewhere on lotc could grow out of warfare, that is true, but it is not possible with NATO on the track during every single "large scale" conflict, while the place itself is too afraid to take the center stage. It is a shameful display.
  16. "And thus were monarchs or some such made tools of convenience, and accepted it so. For they would sooner be tools than artisans of their own design." mused one who would inherit the Sun.
  17. "I wonder how this will fare when the inkwells dry up." pondered an indifferent crusader.
  18. "Who invited this guy." asked a Midlander to the spirit of his deceased brother as he gleaned from the missive the crest of Celia'Nor.
  19. "The tongue-dancing grows tiresome. T'would be preferable if the Reinmarens spoke it as it were. Yet they too would prove bereft of courage. Alas, regardless, darkness doth lurk in that place and so it will fall. I only wish it did not take an elven scapegoat for it to happen." spoke a certain Middenlander that would no doubt participate in the war.
  20. This is obviously an April fools joke because you put the words "work", "tech team", "lotc", and "20tps" on the same forum post.
  21. Happy Easter. Christ is King, God save us.
  22. "Didn't these ones abandon the war effort in favor of Haense? When you sold your land to the Northman, perhaps you should have asked him for some money." spoke an old veteran.
